"Dad!" Nancy yelled as she ran forward before leaping onto Alpha Henry who caught her with a hearty chuckle.

Once their little reunion was over, he slowly let her down before raking his eyes through the crowd that had gathered for the Luna naming ceremony, a thin division between the crowd, meant for the Luna to walk through, towards the levated platform where Daniel, the elders, the Shaman and his Beta were.

Beside the levated platform was the high table meant for the other elders, Shamans, Alphas, Lunas and Betas who could make it to the ceremony.

The crowd was much bigger than the last. After all, this was witnessing the first union of two different species whereby one was their former enemy. No one wanted to miss it.

The entire place was noisy with chatter, and everywhere was lively.

"Where’s Alpha Koan?"

"Oh. You’ve only just arrived. He’s at the high table. Where’s Pamela?"

"She’s at the pack. Can’t get over the fact that Angela had to stay at the rehabilitation center." Alpha Henry replied with a sober look, but on noticing her gaze fixed on his face, he managed a smile before gliding his hand over her hair very fondly.

"Come. Let’s go."

Talia bumped into someone as she moved through the crowd.

"Brittany?? I thought I told you to sit at the high table? What are you doing walking around? You should be feeling dizzy by now."

Brittany gave her a blank stare.

"Is this about me being pregnant?? Are you treating me like a baby now. Jeeez! You’re worse than Royce. He wouldn’t even let me do anything anymore, but that as*hole keeps me awake all night when... " Her voice trails down when she sees two guys approach them.

"When what?" John had a snickering look on his face.

"Mind your business, John." Talia shot at him when Brittany blushed and didn’t have anything else to say. However, her expression softened when she saw Jephthah smiling at her.

"I was waiting for you." She suddenly latched onto his arm and led him through the crowd, towards the high table, blabbering something inaudible, probably about their trip to paris.

"Jephthah!!" Someone called from the crowd and Talia’s face darkened slightly when Jephthah meekly waved with a small smile.

It was Angel.

Jephthah’s new GIRL friend from Dark Risers’s after that incident at Daniel’s Alpha Naming ceremony.

"Hey Talia." Angel waved from far, not daring to approach him like she wanted on seeing who locked arms with him.

Talia just smiled. It was tight lipped but the message in her eyes was clear to Angel.

"You look... " Jephthah clears his throat as they sat down. "Very beautiful."

Talia froze in the act of getting up to hug Nancy. She turned to Jephthah with a flushed face who glanced away.

"Thank you... you look beautiful too."

Just as Jephthah turned to her in confusion, she had already escaped from his side, laughing hard.

Just as she, Nancy and Liliana got together, and endless session of girl talk started, Raiden, Jephthah and Koan had no choice but to make small talk with other Alphas, seeing as the women weren’t paying heed to them.

Alpha Cardin, Raiden and Jephthah shared a conversation.

Brittany and John were at the food court, with John helping Brittany pile some snacks onto her plate.

"Lest I forget. Congratulations Brittany."

Brittany grinned.

"Awwwnnnn. Thank you John. How did you know?"

"Talia called. I knew this was going to happen someday, but I never knew I’d father a child now."

Brittany was about to turn another shade of red again when Royce suddenly said from behind them.

"Father whose child?"

John choked on the food he placed in his mouth as he turned with his eyes wide in shock. Brittany giggled on seeing the mock dark gaze on her mate’s face intended to scare the twin.

"If you’ll excuse me... I think I’m being needed somewhere else." He curtsied before speeding away, under Royce’s dark gaze which he then directed towards Brittany.

"Brittany? I thought I told you to sit at the high table? What are you doing walking around. You should be feeling dizzy by now."

Brittany gave him a blank stare.

"Motherf**king a*shole!!! I’m hungry and I felt like eating something. I’m not lame, you idiot." She growled at him.

He only smirked.

"I see the pregnancy hormones are kicking in already."

But he was quick to dodge a plastic cup being thrown in his way.

"I’ve never really given Koan a blowjob before. I assumed he wouldn’t like it" Nancy bashfully said, glancing to the far corner to see Koan casually talking to Alpha Henry and Alpha Joseph.

"Are you for real? Guys love that... I can’t believe you still haven’t done it." Liliana rolled her eyes.

"There’s still time though." Talia asked and grinned when Nancy blushed again. "I’m going to miss you all. I can’t believe I’m spending a f**king year in Paris."

"Paris is a great place." Nancy pointed out.

"That’s not it, her boyfriend wouldn’t be by her side for her to tease all the time." Liliana replied, rolling her eyes with a smile.

"Actually, he’ll be spending the first month of my one year with me in Paris before he returns here." Talia dropped the bomb.

"Oh My Goodness!!! So it’s going to be like a honeymoon, s*x fest or something... Imagine staying in a private suite with Raiden. F**k, I’m so jealous. It’s a suite right?"

Talia and Nancy laughed out loud.

"How come girls never get tired of talking... and they seem to enjoy every single second of it." Raiden grumbled, feeling left out without Liliana by his side.

"I say you two go into the crowd and dance with a few chics. You’ll surely gain their attention." John nonchalantly replied, stuffing food into his mouth.

"Yeah... I’m not taking my chances with Liliana."

"Neither am I." Jephthah replied and grimaced when John kept stuffing his face. "I’m surprised you haven’t gotten fat with all the steak you consume. You eat more than everyone combined at a party."

"That’s what parties are practically for. To Eat."

"We’re celebrating the... ugh! Just forget it."

"Guys look... " Nancy inclines her jaw to the levated platform and they see Daniel sitting there on the high chair, hair disheveled, giving him this sexy aura that would drive all girls crazy, mated ones included.

It was his Luna’s ceremony, an occasion which would keep a smile on his face throughout the entire day.

But he hadn’t moved from his spot since they all arrived, and had kept sulking like someone had given him a bad news. The aura around him was so suffocating that even the elders sitting around him kept their distance, while Barton and Axle made small talk behind him to pass time.

"He’s always moody, but I haven’t seen him this way before." Talia snarkily replied, but she had a worried look in her eyes.

’What’s wrong with Daniel?’ Nancy asked Koan using the mind link, and from the edge of her eyes, she watched Koan raise his head towards the levated platform.
