Heavenly Harem Sect
Chapter 269 - 269: Dissapointment

[: 3rd POV :]

The next day, the Empress, Lilith along with her daughter, Tilith and 5 Patriarchs and with the remaining cultivators that the Empress brought, they went to find the Sect.

"So Juno, you said that the Sect has been remaining in the same spot for a few weeks right?" The Empress questioned.

"That's right Empress. We have countless investigated the sight" Juno answered.

"Well then, we better not miss them. It would be troublesome if we lost their trail"

As they continued to fly towards their destination, the Empress looked back and said.

On the other hand, Tilith was excited to meet her benefactor and she had been dying to meet him ever since he had saved her.

However, as the Empress had prohibited her from investigating him, she had no choice but to patiently wait.

Now, the Empress has made her plans and this time, the Empress is willing to give him a visit and meet him.

And she had also brought some presents for the Sect Master as a gift of gratitude.

Moreover, she also had other plans.

But, the problem was, even after searching the skies for days, they couldn't find a thing.

As the Imperial entourage continued their search through the vast skies, the frustration among them grew.

The Empress, Lilith, Juno, and the Patriarchs led the way, accompanied by a group of skilled cultivators.

Despite their extensive efforts, there was no trace of the elusive Heavenly Harem Sect.

Empress Lilith, scanning the horizon, expressed her concern and frustration.

"Juno, are you sure about the information regarding the sect's location?" She gazed at him with a cold look.

"We've been searching for days without any sign." She stated with a low voice.

"E-Empress, our intel was reliable"

"They were reported to have remained in a specific region for weeks"

He paused for a while before continuing, "B-But it seems they have either moved or concealed their presence."

Juno, despite trying to maintain his composure, nervously replied.

The Empress sighed in irritation.

"This is becoming troublesome"

"I thought this time I could meet them and I have been waiting for far too long"

"The Forces of Kaos has been starting to move and even the rules of the Upper Continents are showing their moves"

"We cannot afford to let them slip through our fingers any longer" She informed them.

"The Heavenly Harem Sect is no ordinary force and if we can bring them to our side, it would be a blessing" She said.

"Empress, should we return?"

One of the patriarchs asked as he had already given up on finding the Sect.

Tilith furrowed her eyebrows.

She didn't agree with what that Patriarch had said.

She was eager to meet Daniel and she didn't want to miss this chance, hence, she spoke up.

"Mother, we can't afford to return!" She declared.

"The Sect Master is a powerful cultivator and I

I want to meet the Sect Master and express our gratitude."

Empress Lilith nodded, understanding Tilith's reason.

"I do want to meet him as well, and thank him for saving my daughter"

Eventually, the Empress made her decision.

"We must continue the search"

" I have a feeling that they are nearby and we just need to travel more"

As they traversed the skies, the Empress formulated a plan.

She called upon the remaining cultivators in their group, "Spread out and increase the range of our search"

"Use your spiritual senses to detect any abnormalities in the surroundings."

The cultivators dispersed in different directions, intensifying their efforts to locate the Heavenly Harem Sect.

The skies echoed with the sound of their spiritual energy.

"It has been several days and yet, we couldn't find a trace of them"

The Empress furrowed her brows and contemplated.

"There must be a reason why we couldn't find the Sect, is it possible that they are hiding from us?"

"But why would they...?"

Despite their persistent efforts, the Imperial entourage continued to search the skies, grounds and even the seas for the Sect for several more days.

However, the frustration among them grew as each day passed without any success.

Empress Lilith, who initially held a firm decision, found herself increasingly troubled by the lack of progress.

The information that once seemed reliable became a source of uncertainty.

As the days went by, the cultivators and the Patriarchs continued to spread out, using their spiritual senses to scan the surroundings for any signs of the Sect.

Yet, the skies remained silent, and the trace of the Heavenly Harem Sect seemed to be getting further away from them.

Tilith, who was initially excited about the prospect of meeting the Sect Master, now shared the Empress's disappointment.

"Is it the same for this time...?" She questioned with a look of disappointment.

She had faith in meeting her saviour, but once again, she couldn't help but feel disappointed.

The anticipation of expressing gratitude and delivering gifts to her benefactor seemed like a distant dream.

As time passed by, even the Empress felt like she had reached her limits.

"It seems we've exhausted our efforts in trying to find them,"

Empress Lilith admitted with a heavy sigh.

It's not like they had never used everything they had to search for the Sect.

They even used artefacts, weapons or even rare techniques to locate the sect, yet there weren't any results.

"I guess, it's not an ordinary force after all and it won't be easy to find" She declared.

Juno, the Patriarch, lowered his head as he blamed himself for never expecting this to happen.

However, he finds it strange that for a few weeks, the sect had never left the spot and even as he investigated, there weren't any troubles.

Yet, why did it appear now when they had travelled with the Empress?

It was strange and he couldn't help but sense that this was intentional.

But for what reason?

"Empress, perhaps they possess techniques or artefacts to conceal their presence"

"It's not uncommon among powerful sects."

Tilith, though disappointed, tried to offer a solution.

"Maybe we can try reaching out to them through a different method"

"If we can't find them physically, maybe we can establish communication"

Empress could see that her daughter was getting desperate to meet her saviour.

However, listening to her daughter's suggestion, she thought why not?

Since they couldn't even a single trace, it wouldn't hurt to try her method.

"You have a point, Tilith"

The Empress, after a moment of contemplation, nodded.

"Since we have nothing else to use, let's just try to communicate with them," She said.

"I never imagined one day, I, the Empress would communicate with the skies" The Empress chuckled.

Right afterwards, knowing what to do, the Patriarchs and the cultivators followed what the Empress was doing.

Eventually, the Empress communicated with the sky.

Although it made them a fool, the Empress had no choice.

"I, the Empress of the Continent would like to have an audience with the Sect Master of the Heavenly Harem Sect" She respectfully said.

However, there was no response.

Despite their efforts, the Empress, Lilith, her daughter Tilith, and the entourage continued to call out for the Heavenly Harem Sect for hours.

There was no response from the sect.

They even used various methods, from spiritual incantations to ancient communication artefacts.

However, there was only silence.

Tilith, eager to meet her benefactor, continued to call out with a mixture of hope and desperation.

She couldn't shake off the disappointment that shrouded her, as the anticipation of meeting the Sect Master turned into frustration.

Even Empress Lilith found herself disheartened.

She glanced at her daughter, who had been waiting for this moment for a long time, and a sense of guilt crept into her.

"I'm sorry, Tilith," the Empress said, her voice carrying a weight of disappointment.

"I had hoped to fulfill your wish, but it seems like it'd be hard to visit them" She caressed her hair.

She knew that Tilith had been waiting all this time to meet him.

Hence, she felt guilty for her.

Tilith, though disheartened, tried to reassure her mother.

"It's okay, Mother. We've tried everything. Maybe they have their reasons for staying hidden."

Empress Lilith could only smile gently.

Feeling a sense of responsibility for the unsuccessful search, Juno, spoke up,

"Empress, I apologize for the lack of information"

The Empress sighed, understanding that this wasn't his fault.

"No need for apologies, Juno"

"It seems that this Sect is something that we can't handle" She declared.

"Since the sect doesn't wish to show themselves before us, then, we can only take our leave" The Empress stated.

"Let's return" She ordered before she gazed at her daughter with a look of disappointment.

Tilith could only bite her lips and there were even droplets of tears forming in her eyes.

"Let's go my daughter...there will always be a next time," She said with a soft gentle as she held her hand.

Tilith who could only hold back her tears nodded her head.

However, before they could even leave, they heard a voice.

"Leaving already?"
