Heavenly Harem Sect
Chapter 270 - 270: Nervous Empress

[: 3rd POV :]

''Leaving already?'' All of a sudden, all of them heard an unfamiliar voice except for Tilith.

As Tilith heard the voice, her heart fluttered and she widened her eyes.

At the same time, her eyes sparkled with excitement, and her ears perked up at the sound of his voice as though she was delighted by it.

Slowly turning around, she found herself face-to-face with a figure she had longed to see.

Draped in a black and white robe, the handsome man before her emitted an aura that felt oppressive yet gentle.

With a warm smile graced on his lips, Tilith couldn't help but be attracted.

"It's been a while, Tilith," Daniel, the Sect Master, spoke, his voice carrying a blend of familiarity and kindness.

Tilith, caught in a moment of both disbelief and joy, whispered his name. "You're..."

Daniel's smile widened as he greeted the Empress, "It's nice to meet you, Empress Lilith."

The Empress, initially taken aback, couldn't help but feel a shift in her emotions.

The realization that she stood in the presence of the Sect Master, whom she had sought for days, appeared before her.

Her expression transformed, from surprise to a mix of fear and gratitude.

Now that she was right before him, Lilith couldn't utter any words.

She was greatly startled by his sudden appearance which they had been trying to find for days.

Moreover, for them and her not noticing when he had appeared, Lilith understood that he was stronger than them.

It made her nervous knowing that he could appear without them noticing, and if he has the slightest intention of killing them, they would be powerless to do anything.

At this thought, Lilith swallowed her salivae.

It seems that she realized what her daughter had told her was not a lie.

"T-This is..." She stuttered, her mind racing to comprehend the unexpected encounter unfolding before her.

"Sect Master...you're here,"

Tilith added, her voice reflecting a combination of astonishment and joy.

The revelation that the Sect Master had responded to their calls filled her with delight.

Even though it took them days, Tilith had no complaints.

Daniel, maintaining his composed demeanour, nodded in acknowledgement. "Yes, took you long enough for you to finally meet me, though, most of the faults lie within me''

Daniel chuckled as it was his fault that he didn't give her the specific location for her to find him.

"A-Apologies, Sect Master,"

She stammered as she bowed her in apology her voice trembling with remorse.

Even though it wasn't her fault, Tilith apologised without realizing that Daniel was just joking.

"You don't have to bow to me, Tilith, and there is no need to apologize; you've done nothing wrong,"

Daniel reassured her with a calm and gentle tone as he dispelled the weight of guilt from Tilith's shoulders.

Tilith, with a mixture of relief and curiosity, dared to look up to meet his gaze.

What unfolded before her was a pair of eyes that held a calming and captivating beauty.

At the same time, her heart quickened its pace.

At that moment, she realized how much she had missed him.

Even though she was saved by him and couldn't meet him afterwards, she felt a certain connection to him that can't be explained in words.

Moreover, now that he was here, her attraction to him had increased by miles.

It felt as if her entire world had undergone a shift.

"Sect Master... I-I..."

She whispered, her voice barely audible as she struggled to express the overwhelming emotions coursing through her.

There were just too many things that she wanted to convey.

On the other hand, Daniel could sense Tilith's intense emotions.

Observing the dilation of her pupils and the genuine turmoil in her expression, he recognized the depth of her feelings.

Daniel couldn't help but let out a heartfelt chuckle as he observed Tilith's sincerity in expressing her emotions.

Her genuine demeanour touched him, and he couldn't help but admire the innocent and pure way she reacted.

It was adorable.

"I'm genuinely happy to see you again,"

He expressed warmly, however, in the next breath, he extended an apology, "Though, I apologize for not showing myself earlier and making you wait."

Tilith, upon hearing his apology, felt a blush creeping up her cheeks, the embarrassment of her previous actions colouring her expression.

Breaking the moment with a gesture of hospitality, Daniel proposed, "I know that all of you have something to say to me, so why don't I invite all of you to my palace?"

Lilith and Tilith exchanged glances, silently communicating their thoughts.

Eventually, Lilith voiced the unspoken question, "Are we allowed to?"

"Why not? Except for the men, the two of you can be invited,"

Daniel responded with a welcoming smile, easing any lingering hesitations.

Empress Lilith, catching the cue, discreetly signalled to the Patriarchs, a silent indication that they were about to enter the sect.

With that, the entourage, led by the Empress and her daughter, stepped into the realm of the Heavenly Harem Sect.

As the Empress and her daughter stepped into the Heavenly Harem Sect, an awe-inspiring sight unfolded before them.

The sheer sight of the sect left the Empress in utter shock with her jaw dropping to the ground.

Even she had never experienced or seen anything like it during her prime age when she had travelled throughout the world.

Mythical beasts, majestic and otherworldly, roamed freely within the sect.

Their presence alone sent tremors through the atmosphere, and the Empress couldn't help but marvel at creatures she had never laid eyes upon.

The auras emanating from these beasts were behemoth, a power that scared even the Empress.

''How could such terrifying beasts exist within this land...?'' The Empress muttered with fear in her eyes.

At the same time, there were hints of admiration in it.

To add on, as she passed through the sect, she saw a landscape that was adorned with trees and plants that were believed to be lost to time.

These were not mere flowers; they were living relics, existing proof of the sect's connection with the mystical and ancient.

The Empress recognized them from ancient texts, preserved in the annals of history, yet here they were, thriving in vibrant glory.

''How can this be...?'' She covered her mouth with her fingers as she never thought that one day, she would be able to see Spiritual Fruits, Trees or even Plants exist.

She even saw the Immortal Peach which was thought to exist in the Immortal Realm.

Moreover, the spiritual qi in the atmosphere surpassed even the hidden realms known to the Empress.

It pulsed with an energy so potent that it seemed to breathe life into every corner of the sect.

The Empress couldn't fathom how such an extraordinary place could exist within the confines of their realm.

''This is impossible...the spiritual qi is much purer than those even in the sealed realm'' She muttered.

On the other hand, Tilith, too, shared her mother's astonishment.

Her eyes widened in disbelief at the seemingly impossible coexistence of legendary creatures and ancient plants.

It went against the norms and boundaries of the sects they knew.

"Mother," Tilith whispered, her voice barely audible amid the breathtaking scene.

"This sect... it shouldn't be able to exist in this realm. It's like an own realm within this world."

Empress Lilith, regaining her composure, nodded in agreement.

The Heavenly Harem Sect defied the laws of their understanding.

As they ventured further into the sect, they couldn't help but wonder about the secrets that lay hidden beneath the sect.

However now, both of them knew how the Sect Master was able to conquer cities.

With these kinds of resources, they would without a doubt be able to be the number 1 sect throughout the continent or even the world.

Even though they have yet to discover the true powers that Daniel has, just being in the sect could allow them to have a glimpse of Daniel's capabilities.

Eventually, the Empress and Tilith found themselves in a room with a small round table for small discussions.

As they took their seats, the atmosphere was tensed.

Suddenly, a team of graceful maids entered the room, carrying trays that had delectable desserts and refreshing drinks.

After the delicacies were placed on the table, the maids departed, leaving the trio in the room, and finally Daniel, the Sect Master, spoke.

"You don't have to be nervous," he reassured them with a chuckle.

Observing the Empress's tension, he understood the weight of her presence and the expectations that came with her title.

Walking through the sect had likely made her realize that he was not just on par with her but surpassed her in realms of power.

"It's not every day that I have an audience with the Empress"

He joked and his words carried a gentle acknowledgement of her status.

The Empress was nervous and tense because she, who had ruled her realm with strength and authority, now faced a being whose power transcended her understanding.

It was an unfamiliar situation she had never faced before.

Tilith, sitting beside her mother, watched the interplay between the two with keen interest.

Yet, within that tension, there was also a glimmer of mutual respect that bridged the gap.
