"HAVE YOU called Gayoon-san?"

"Yes, Haru Oppa," Lee Sarang answered Haru’s question politely. "Since Gayoon Oppa is using his private plane, he’ll be here in less than an hour. Are you going to pick him up in the airport?"

Haru nodded. "It will be faster to bring him here if I use my teleportation skills. I should at least do that much to the person who helped me have my own Status Window."

Right.

Of course, there was a deal involved.

But it didn’t change the fact that it was Ki Gayoon who convinced President Kwak Hakjae to activate Lee Sarang and Haru’s personal status.

"Well, that’s something I already know. Gayoon-san doesn’t call you a crybaby for nothing," Haru said teasingly. "For someone who has the ability to control ice, you’re pretty warm, Sarang-san."

"So I have been told," Lee Sarang said, and then she started to spread Mo Hanjin’s remains in the river. "But, Haru Oppa, I’m still called the ’Ice Queen’ for a reason."

"KID, you should at least learn to use half of my abilities."

Kwon Hojun flinched when Matthew, the ghost, talked to him directly.

To be honest, ever since he awakened as an Esper, he also gained the ability to see the ghost of Matthew— the original owner of the Core in his heart.

He did his best to ignore the ghost because the ghost kept ignoring him, too.

But, this morning— right after Haru and Lee Sarang left to do an important business— Matthew’s ghost ordered Kwon Hojun to go to the training room.

"Now that Gayoon Hyung and the others know the truth, a civil war within the Hunters in Korea is likely to happen."

Kwon Hojun gulped after hearing that. "That sounds bad, sir."

"It is. Sungbin Oppa and Sooin Noona might appear weaker than Gayoon Hyung and Sarang at the moment. But the thing that stole my body could upgrade their abilities at any moment. "Kim Jaeha already suffered guiding you and the thing that abused him," Kwon Hojun said, frowning. He didn’t know much, but he knew enough to know that Kim Jaeha had suffered because of Matthew— the fake one. "I don’t want him to guide the person who inherited the Core of his abuser."

"Forget it," Gayoon said, waving his hand dismissively. "Why should we head to your hotel when we can go straight to where Noh Yuno is?"

"Lee Sarang and the others are still at the hotel, and we need to form a strategy first—"

Gayoon scoffed at Haru’s approach. "We don’t need reinforcements, and forming a strategy is just a waste of time."

Of course, he was being a big hypocrite.

After all, in the past, he was the strategeist of the team— along with Ryu Sungbin. However, this time, he was too impatient to make a plan when he already knew where Noh Yuno was.

I know I should be more careful and less reckless this time, but I feel like I’m going to lose my little shit if I approach things too carefully.

To be fair, Yuno also only knew two Espers who were crazy enough to pull that kind of shit for him and Moon Noa.

If it involves Sajangnim, then Haru must be one of them.

Yuno’s eyes widened in shock, his heart beating hard and fast against his chest. "Is one of them Gayoon Hyung?"
