Chapter 367: Five Elements City

Chapter 367: Five Elements City

The guardian, watching from afar, knelt unconsciously. His body was trembling, as the power of the transcended fourth-layer rule of fire was terrifying, even with his true strength at the eternal god level; he could not handle the pressure. He felt his body and soul would be burnt to a crisp if he came closer.

Above the valley, the burnt sky cleared slightly. Far away, in different parts of the hidden realm or other secret realms in Rion, the hidden auras stirred. Some trembled. Some were awakened by the shocking power of the fire rule.

And deep in the Necros Continent, buried under a temple of death and silence, a massive eye slowly opened. The air there darkened further, even though no light existed in that realm to begin with.

The world was shifting.

Apollo’s aura calmed down. After he reached the fourth layer of the rule of fire, his cultivation also broke a small rank; he reached the middle of the true god realm, increasing his strength even more.

He exhaled.

Flames rose from the breath itself, dancing like phoenixes before fading gently into the world.

"Middle True God... and the fourth-layer Rule of Fire," he murmured, hands behind his back, eyes now glowing faintly with a divine light.

All the flames in the valley disappeared; it felt as if the entire secret realm had been freed from some binding, and even the corrupted aura within the secret realm slowly started to disappear.

He thought after such a change the few powerful beings in the secret realm would come out, but for some reason they still didn’t make any move.

Seeing this, his expression became better, as he naturally didn’t want to fight such an unknown being, whose strength he wasn’t sure of. According to his feeling, there should be some who surpassed the eternal god realm here, which was frankly a terrifying thing.

Even in the universe, every being that surpassed eternal god is a supreme being who can cover countless star regions, domains or even the entire universe. Yet in a small planet, Rion, within a secret realm, there is such a being hiding.

Not to mention he thought of the terrifying conclusion that it might be possible other secret realms that suddenly appeared might have the same situation. He couldn’t imagine, on Rion, how many such strong beings were hiding.

It went against everything the universe taught. Beings at that level didn’t hide. They ruled. They moved freely through the cosmos, not lingering in forgotten pockets of a backwater world.

Yet here...

He exhaled slowly. The more he thought about it, the more it felt like something was being contained, not slumbering. Or worse—sealed.

His Sovereign Flames wrapped tighter around him, almost protectively, as if sensing his rising tension.

"Rion... is no longer just a small world," he murmured. "It’s something else entirely."

He along with his guardian, still searched around to see if he could find some more flames or any other treasure, but he was careful not to anger the hidden beings within this realm.

After founding some small flames, they left the secret realm quietly.

Multiple forces from across the Western Continent — scouts, mercenaries, rogue cultivators, and even envoys of various sects and clans — had converged, drawn by the overwhelming fluctuations earlier. The sudden collapse of the spatial barrier and the eruption of that world-shaking flame had spread like wildfire.

But none of them saw the ones responsible.

Apollo and his guardian moved like phantoms, cloaked in subtle distortion. Not even the Void God-level beings circling above the mountains detected them as they passed. They were long gone before the first exploration parties dared step into the still-simmering valley.

From afar, a few top powerhouses stared at the horizon.

"That flame... I’ve never felt anything like it," murmured a white-robed elder, veins of lightning running across his arms. "What kind of monster has awakened that causes such a phenomenon?"

But by then, Apollo was already hundreds of kilometres away, walking calmly through an empty ridge beneath a fading sunset, cloak fluttering softly.

"Let’s look around a bit, see if we can find something interesting." He said to his guardian that since he came to the western continent, it wouldn’t be bad to look around, even visit some other secret realms that appeared in the last few years, and find some hidden mysteries of the western continent or Rion.

The two of them soared upward into the skies of the Western Continent.

Below them, the land sprawled in ancient wildness.

Thick forests older than recorded history.

Jagged canyons that shimmered faintly, as if layered with dimensions.

Faint pulses of divine energy, buried beneath fractured mountain ranges.

Rion had changed.

And Apollo could feel it.

Many of these zones weren’t recorded in the continent’s older maps — proof that either they had been hidden by powerful concealments or, like the Ghostly Flame realm, they had only recently emerged after the mysterious restructuring of the planet.

But not all of them were extraordinary; most were only void god or true god-level remains, which wasn’t much for them, so they didn’t care about.

After travelling for some time, they arrived at the centre of the western continent and the biggest city of this continent, the capital of the Sacred Elements Empire, ’Five Element City’.

The air shifted the moment they approached the central region — the aura of order and structure was heavy here, and numerous warriors could be seen everywhere.

The capital rose in the distance like a massive, radiant lotus forged from stone, metal, and energy. Towering spires crowned with elemental crystals of five elements shimmered in the sunlight. Rivers of light — literal veins of flowing elemental energy — ran through the city, powering barriers.

Apollo slowed down his steps slightly as they entered the airspace above the outer walls. The city’s protective formation immediately reacted, sending a pulse across the barrier.

The guardian next to him whispered, "Should I suppress it?"

"No need," Apollo said calmly. "Let’s enter normally. I want to see what this empire is really like."

They descended slowly, no flashy arrival, simply appearing like two powerful travellers returning from deep lands.
