Chapter 254: Serena’s Strength

Chapter 254: Serena’s Strength

Serena was also a bit surprised as she looked at the behemoth, but there wasn’t any sign of trouble on her face.

On the other hand, Apollo faced an oppressive force he had never felt before. Although he was doing his best, he was barely able to resist its aura. Even without fighting, he knew this beast was too strong. As he was feeling suppressed, Selena’s voice rang in his head.

"Lord, this is a Young World Demon," Serena said with her calm voice. "They are exceedingly rare creatures that traverse the vastness of space, leaving devastation in their path. Wherever they go, worlds crumble and civilizations fall. Even the world demon in front has a weak bloodline and is in its youth; still, its power rivals the peak of void gods."

Apollo glanced at the colossal beast, its three heads roaring in unison, creating a shockwave that rippled through the station.

"Peak void god." He knew he wouldn’t be its opponent, as every stage in the void god had a huge difference, and the guys he beat were just early-stage void gods.

Despite this, Apollo’s lips curved into a faint smile. "I want to try," he declared.

Serena nodded without hesitation, her expression calm and composed. "Don’t worry, Lord," she replied, her tone unwavering. "I will protect you when needed. This young beast is nothing to me."

The crowd observing from afar was in utter disbelief. They had just witnessed Apollo annihilate seven Void Gods, and now he stood defiantly against a creature that could crush an entire station.

"Attack."

The World Demon moved, its colossal claws tearing through space, aiming directly at Apollo. The sheer force of its movement created massive shockwaves, obliterating space and any lingering fragments of the battlefield.

Apollo responded swiftly by teleporting using his space law, summoning his Eternal Sword World once more. The realm of moonlight and frost expanded, clashing with the beast’s destructive aura. Ethereal swords formed a large array, roaring as they charged at the beast, colliding head-on.

Boom!

The collision released an earth-shattering explosion of energy, sending shockwaves rippling through space. For the first time since the battle, Apollo was pushed back, his feet carving deep scars into the ground, destroying many buildings protected by runes as he struggled to withstand the beast’s overwhelming power.

Even with his physical power of the divine body and all, he felt helpless as just the raw power of this young world demon was overwhelming. In fact, World Demons is considered to have one of the strongest physical bodies in the entire universe, even in multiple dimensions.

Apollo shifted tactics. He drew his bow, imbuing it with the frost, death, and lunar law. A luminous arrow formed, pulsating with energy that seemed to distort space itself.

He released it.

The arrow streaked through the battlefield like a comet, trying to aim for one of the eyes of the three heads. But just as it was about to pierce its eyes, a destructive beam released from its eyes that was so powerful it seemed to destroy even the space and annihilate the arrow directly.

Followed by it seems to attack him with gigantic claws, trying to crush him to death.

Again Apollo quickly dodged using his teleport, but this time the world demon seemed to be annoyed as its entire body moved, tearing space like a massive spaceship, and instantly appeared right beside him, teleporting, and attacked him with his claws.

This caught him off guard as he didn’t expect it to be this big, and still this fast, he could only harden himself as the claw that seemed to have the power to destroy a world hit him and sent him flying miles away.

Boom!

Apollo crashed through layers of reinforced structures, each shattering like glass under the force of the impact that shook the entire Astral Void Station. His body ploughed through the battlefield, creating a deep trench in its wake before he finally skidded to a halt. Dust and debris clouded the air, obscuring his form.

For a moment, there was only silence, broken by the low growl of the massive World Demon. Its three heads swivelled, scanning the battlefield for Apollo. The destructive force it emanated warped the surroundings, bending even the strongest protective runes as though they were nothing.

The crowd, still watching from a distance, could only gasp in horror. For the first time, Apollo had been struck so decisively, and the impact of the World Demon’s raw power was undeniable.

Then, from the settling dust, Apollo emerged. His divine body, though visibly battered. The golden blood flowing from his wounds glowed faintly, a testament to his divine resilience. His eyes, now blazing with a fusion of silver and blue, locked onto the towering beast.

"Fuck, almost crushed me." He cursed as he felt all his internal organs and bones tremble, but thankfully he had strong resilience and healing ability, which reduced the damage.

"Ahh... agh..."

His blue eyes burned with determination as he unleashed attack after attack, his Lunar Dragon Sword cutting through the demon’s energy like a crescent moon slicing through the night sky.

Yet, the World Demon was unlike any enemy Apollo had faced before. Its scales deflected even his strongest strikes, and its many heads retaliated with overwhelming force, each attack creating shockwaves that shook the entire station to its core.

"This won’t be enough," he muttered to himself, his voice low but resolute. "I need to break through its defences."

"Sixteenth Sword—Lunar Dragon Sword!" Apollo roared, summoning every ounce of strength he had left. His Eternal Sword World manifested, casting the battlefield into a surreal landscape of cosmos filled with celestial phenomena. A massive dragon formed of countless ethereal swords burst forth, its lunar brilliance slicing through the World Demon’s combined attacks.

The dragon struck true, its sword-like body slamming into the World demon with a deafening explosion. One of its heads reeled back, scales cracked and ichor pouring out. But as the dust settled, the other two heads remained unscathed, and the injured head quickly began to regenerate.

Apollo’s eyes narrowed, feeling a bit frustrated. "Even my strongest attack... barely injured it."

The three-headed demon roared, all three heads snapping toward Apollo with terrifying speed. He barely managed to dodge, but the force of the attack sent him hurtling backwards, crashing into the ground with a sickening thud.

Before he could rise, the World Demon loomed over him, its jaws inches away. A shadow of death hung over Apollo as the beast prepared to strike.

"Enough."

A calm, icy voice resonated through the battlefield. The oppressive aura of the World Demon was instantly overwhelmed by a new presence. Serena stepped forward, her silver hair flowing as if caught in an unseen wind, her expression serene but filled with an unmistakable authority.

The battlefield returned to an uneasy calm; the crowd finally erupted into whispers, their voices filled with awe and fear. Every creature within the station felt a terror completely different from the ferocious aura of the world demon.

It was as if they were on different levels. They might try to resist the ferocious power of the word demon, but Serena’s aura seems to lock the entire place, making them feel that no matter what they do, they will die if they try to hurt her.

"Who is she...?"

"How can her aura be this strong?"

The young master who summoned the World Demon was also pale at this moment and felt something bad going to happen. He didn’t expect Selena’s aura would be this strong.

She raised a single hand, her silver aura flaring to life. It was not flashy or grandiose, but the sheer density of her power made the very space in the entire station tremble and shatter in different places.

The World Demon hesitated as it felt danger, its three heads roaring in defiance, but even it could feel the overwhelming threat.

"Die."

Serena’s voice was barely louder than a whisper, but the attack that followed was anything but subtle. A single, concentrated beam of silver light shot forth from her palm, moving so fast it seemed to defy the speed of light. Time seemed to slow down, and the world demon didn’t even have time to react.

The beam struck the creature, and in an instant, the scene was enveloped in an eerie stillness. There was no deafening explosion, no world-shattering destruction, just an unsettling silence that gripped everyone watching.

Sssss...

The faint sound of sizzling energy lingered in the air, yet the colossal World Demon remained motionless. Its three heads, previously roaring with fury and exuding an aura of annihilation, were now frozen.

At first, the crowd was perplexed, their expressions a mix of confusion and apprehension. The creature didn’t flinch, didn’t retaliate. It simply stopped moving, as though time itself had momentarily halted for it.

"What’s happening?" Someone in the distance muttered, breaking the tension.

"World Demon, why stop killing them?" The young man ordered, but it seemed to have had no effect.

But what happened shocked not only the crowd watching but also the young master, as suddenly the World Demon, which was tall and terrifying, capable of shaking the world, seemed to start crumbling like burning paper, turning into a pile of dust.
