Chapter 253: Killing
Chapter 253: Killing
Massive shockwaves rippled outward, shaking the Astral Void Station to its core. Entire sections of the station cracked and buckled under the sheer force of the collision.
When the energy dissipated, a chilling silence fell over the battlefield. The seven Void Gods, their Internal Worlds fractured and their divine weapons trembling in their hands, stared at Apollo in disbelief.
All seven of them were seriously injured; remaining standing in the sky was difficult for them. But it was nothing to the horror they were feeling and the pride that was shattered in the last attack.
Apollo took a step forward, his aura still radiant with moonlight and frost. Each step seemed to freeze the space beneath him, and his silvery gaze pierced through the Void Gods like a blade.
The crowd that was watching this now had an unbelievable reaction and couldn’t believe what they saw and what just happened.
"Seven Void Gods... defeated. Alone."
Murmurs began to ripple through the spectators, disbelief colouring every whispered word.
The most fucked-up person now was the blue-skinned young guy who talked big, but now he had almost shit his pants and dared not look towards Apollo.
"T-this can’t... be..." he muttered with terror.
Lady Ysera also had a shocking expression as her calm and cold demeanour seemed to have broken by seeing the world-shattering battle, but when she looked at the young man beside her, she calmed down.
The young man, cloaked in an aura of mystery, showed no signs of surprise. His eyes, as deep as the void itself, merely observed Apollo with a faint glimmer of interest with a bit of surprise on his face.
Apollo’s steps toward the Void Gods were deliberate, his aura intensifying with each step. The air grew colder, and the already battered Void Gods instinctively stepped back, their pride in tatters but their survival instincts screaming at them to retreat.
"Is this the strength of Void Gods?" Apollo’s voice rang out, sharp and cutting as the frost-laden wind that followed him. There was no malice, only a cold, unforgiving truth. "Seven of you, yet this is all you can offer? I had expected more."
"It’s time to end all of this." As he said that, his aura became cold, but that wasn’t from his chilling energy but from his killing intent.
Feeling the seven Void Gods panicked, they wanted to run, but before they could think that, Apollo, right in front of them, disappeared and appeared right above the Void God with the spear and was the first to attack him.
"First."
Szzz!
A cold voice echoed as a sword moved so fast that even the void gods couldn’t see it—only realizing its presence when the Void God was cleaved cleanly in two, leaving a three-mile-long scar across the layer of deep space beside him.
"Fuck!" Whether it was the Void fighting or the guys watching, they were shocked and cursed at the same time. It was too sudden, and in an instant, one of the Void gods died.
As the void god died, his internal world started to crumble, and the other Void Gods who were alive ran with their might.
The crumbling Internal World released a shockwave that further destabilized the Astral Void Station, its protective formations flickering under the strain.
The remaining six Void Gods, once proud and imposing, now looked like hunted beasts as they scrambled to escape.
"Second," Apollo’s cold voice echoed before anyone could react. His figure flickered like a phantom, appearing behind one of the sword-wielding Void Gods who had just torn space and was running away.
A crescent of moonlight streaked through the air, a blade of frost cleaving effortlessly through divine armour and flesh. The Void God roared, disbelief etched into his face as his body was split apart. Another internal world collapsed, its laws disintegrating into chaos by his sword.
But Apollo was unyielding.
"You had your chance," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. The moonlight aura around him surged, forming a sphere of shimmering frost that encompassed the entire battlefield. The fleeing Void Gods found it difficult to run; their movements slowed as the chilling energy drained their strength.
"Third," Apollo intoned, his figure vanishing again. Another Void God fell, a single blade strike severing both body and soul. The remaining four could only watch in despair as their numbers dwindled.
Far in the distance, the crowd watching the massacre stood frozen in awe and horror. Even the mighty Void Gods hidden among them were stunned into silence.
The blue-skinned young man who had boasted so arrogantly before trembled violently. His face was pale as he saw the void from his death. He quickly gathered his strength and ran, not looking back; all he wanted to do was run away as far as possible and survive.
Apollo didn’t care, but Serena remembered, as it is not daily an ant dares to bother her. So the moment he ran, she made her move; instantly, a beam of silver light pierced through him and annihilated him instantly. There were no loud sounds or explosions, just instant disintegration.
Nobody even noticed as they were looking at the battle where only four of the Void Gods remained.
Apollo quickly took out his bow and shot multiple space-travelling arrows, each with the power to destroy everything towards the remaining gods.
Each arrow he fired seemed to tear through space, streaking across the void like meteors wrapped in frost and moonlight.
A Void God, covered in the golden energy of destruction, tried to block an arrow briefly, but the overwhelming force tore through his defences. His screams echoed briefly before he was consumed by a burst of lunar frost.
"Fourth," Apollo said, his voice as unyielding as the tides.
Another arrow struck another Void God mid-flight as he attempted to flee. His body erupted in a cascade of fiery energy, his essence scattering into the void.
"Fifth," Apollo murmured, his tone unchanging.
The remaining two Void Gods, the strongest among the seven, quickly realized the dire situation they were in. Without hesitation, they unleashed their most powerful defensive techniques. One of them even summoned a defensive divine treasure, causing a radiant golden barrier to materialize around them.
The barrier shimmered with divine energy, its mysterious patterns releasing as it absorbed the onslaught of Apollo’s arrows.
Even with their combined efforts and the treasure’s protection, they barely managed to shield themselves. The sheer force of the attack caused cracks to spiderweb across the golden barrier, but thankfully it stopped the arrows, saving their lives.
The two surviving void gods were with Lady Ysera as they quickly went to her, hoping to save their lives. As a lady of the strongest clan of the galaxy, she should have many trump cards, and they will be able to save their lives.
Even Lady Ysera was nervous. While the treasure might allow her to save herself from Apollo, the real problem was that he wasn’t alone. Serena, who hadn’t made a single move yet, appeared to be his guard and might be many times stronger than him.
She can only look towards the young man beside her, as he is the only hope for her right now.
The young man beside Lady Ysera had remained relatively calm throughout the carnage. Dressed in simple but elegant robes, he exuded an aura that seemed unfathomably deep.
He smiled faintly, his golden eyes shimmering like twin suns. "There’s no need to panic," he replied, his tone carrying a strange authority.
"I didn’t expect to meet someone this talented here, but in the end, he still is half-god, nothing much. Come out, World Demon."
As he said and activated the mark on his body, it flared with a crimson glow, and an oppressive energy surged forth. A colossal beast materialized, its sheer size of ten miles dwarfing the surrounding structures. The creature had three monstrous heads, each more terrifying than the last, adorned with sharp, spiralling horns that seemed capable of piercing through dimensions.
The air grew heavy as its ferocious aura spread across the Astral Void Station. The ground trembled violently, cracks forming beneath its massive clawed feet. People far away in the station’s hidden corners gasped in fear, feeling the weight of the beast’s presence pressing on their very souls.
The aura of the beast was many times stronger than the seven Void gods, and the Void gods in the station looking from afar were trembling, and the runic formation that protected the station and was able to hold the aftermath of Apollo’s battle seemed to start to break.
The colossal World Demon stood like a harbinger of doom, its three heads snarling with a deep, guttural resonance that reverberated through the Astral Void Station. Its crimson eyes glowed with malice, and each breath it took seemed to warp the surrounding space as if reality itself recoiled from its presence.
Apollo turned to face the beast, his expression as calm as still waters. But he was surprised as he didn’t expect to see something like that.
