Chapter 216: Abrupt Ending of Ten Clan Assembly

The summit vibrated as Apollo’s foot made contact with the final step, triggering a chain reaction that spread across the Heavenly Path.

BOOM!

The moment he took that step, the world around him began to tremble, and the entire Heavenly Path lit up with a bright, golden, mysterious aura that could be felt by everyone across the different platforms.

The aura carried a strange power, one that seemed to clear their minds and lift their confusion. Their bodies hummed with new strength, while the profound mysteries of the laws—concepts that had once felt distant—now glimmered before them with startling clarity. Slowly, each of them began to grow stronger as their understanding of the laws deepened.

Szzz... szzz...

A peculiar, soothing sound echoed through the air, as if the very essence of the universe was being re-tuned. The golden aura swirled gently, embedding enlightenment in the hearts of those still climbing and even reaching those watching from afar.

Spectators who could only dream of touching such wisdom could only sigh, as only the genius remaining on the heavenly path can enjoy the blessing.

Meanwhile, Apollo stood unmoved at the apex, his gaze serene but distant, as though he existed outside the flow of time.

The golden aura didn’t just wash over him—it resonated with his very being. It swirled around him, not lifting or diminishing his power but settling into his soul like an ancient promise fulfilled.

But it wasn’t over, as after the golden light started to dim, another mysterious phenomenon appeared, but it was the entire opposite; it was filled with death and devouring, and quickly half of the heavenly path was covered by such a dark aura.

With that, two mysterious, translucent figures appeared behind Apollo.

On one side stood a silver-golden warrior, clad in radiant white armour, his features stern and unwavering. His sword gleamed with celestial power. His very presence radiated calm purpose, as though he were an eternal giant standing against the endless tides of chaos.

Opposite him loomed a black demon god, its form shrouded in writhing shadows. Death clung to it like a second skin, swirling in tendrils around a massive black hole that hovered ominously behind it. The demon’s malevolent eyes burnt with hunger—an insatiable desire to devour existence itself.

Both figures were massive, their sheer presence overwhelming, even as mere shadows of their true forms. The land trembled beneath their auras, and the elders and spectators watching from beyond the mirror felt a chill of terror grip their hearts.

Even half-gods and ancient beings—monsters far stronger than most—felt the same unease, as if the aura these figures radiated came from something beyond their comprehension.

Kassandra’s breath hitched as she looked at the figures towering behind Apollo. "Is this... his potential?" She whispered in disbelief.

Aeon, who had stood resilient until now, clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles turned white. "No wonder... No wonder the future is shifting." His voice trembled with a mixture of awe and dread. "He’s not just a variable. He’s a force beyond reason itself."

Apollo, with closed eyes standing between the two transparent figures. His expression remained calm, as if he accepted the existence of both extremes within himself.

Then, as if responding to some unspoken command, the two figures raised their weapons in unison. The golden warrior lifted his gleaming sword high into the heavens, while the black demon king summoned the swirling black hole closer to his chest, as if ready to unleash it upon the world.

But instead of attacking, both seemed to dive within Apollo’s body and quickly started dispersing within him. And the moment they together entered his body, his aura started to increase rapidly.

His aura climbed from the early fourth stage to the middle stage and continued to increase at a fast rate to only be stopped at the peak of the fourth rank.

The sheer pressure was suffocating. Apollo stood there, his figure like a mountain among mere mortals, unshaken and unyielding.

Outside the Heavenly Path, gasps erupted from the elders and spectators. Although because of the mysterious aura they cannot tell what level of strength he breakthrough, from the surroundings it can be understood that he improved quite a lot.

The mysterious phenomenon remained like that for a few minutes, and finally it disappeared, leaving everyone on the heavenly path sad, as in just a few minutes they improved more than years of hard training.

Apollo also opened his eyes, and a small smile appeared on his face as he felt the improvement of his strength and could help but feel the trouble was worth it. The heavenly path saved him a year or more of practice.

Now that he has reached the peak of fourth rank, he can consolidate and be prepared for breakthrough to saint rank.

The Saint Rank wasn’t just a matter of power—it was a transformation of essence, of spirit. He needed to be ready in both body and soul before attempting the leap.

Now standing at the peak of the Heavenly Path, he no longer felt any pressure. Instead, he felt liberated. Not only had his strength improved, but his foundation had grown even steadier and stronger—a remarkable feat, given that it was already incredibly solid. Yet now, it had reached an unimaginable level.

After that, the bright golden light appeared on everyone within the heavenly path’s space, and then they quickly were teleported out, marking the ending of the final round of the Ten Clan Assembly.

The sudden shift left many stumbling as they reappeared in the grand plaza outside the Heavenly Mirror, where the Ten Clan Assembly had begun. The crowd erupted into murmurs, processing what they had just witnessed. This year’s assembly was unlike any in recorded history, with one unexpected participant standing far above all others.

Apollo, Kassandra, and Eon appeared at the forefront of the trialists. The golden light around them lingered for a few moments longer than the others, a clear sign of how far they had climbed. But Apollo’s aura shone brightest—powerful, unwavering, and filled with the promise of future greatness.

All the elders and higher of the ten clans sighed as they watched this. Thousands of years of dominance finally ended with Apollo’s appearance.

The most overwhelmed were the elders and the leader of the Rose Clan. They couldn’t be too happy or too sad—after all, Apollo represented their clan, which meant they would receive the most resources for which they should be glad. But it also left them uneasy; sometimes without sufficient strength, having too much of something wasn’t good, and this was one of those times.

The assembly overseer, an ancient figure with deep lines etched across his face, stepped forward, his voice reverberating through the plaza. "The final round of the Ten Clan Assembly has concluded. This year’s assembly will be remembered not just for its results but for the emergence of something truly extraordinary."

All eyes returned to Apollo—the dark horse from a minor Rose clan, now a figure standing at the cusp of legend.

"The champion is Apollo from the Rose clan!"

The overseer’s loud voice echoed throughout the plaza, and the crowd couldn’t help but feel boiling as they witnessed the legend that broke their expectations and brought such surprise.

Whereas the Ten great clan elders were ashamed, especially the eight clans that were directly eliminated during the scrimmage by Drakin’s alone, bringing them a great deal of shame.

But just as the crowd was excited, the sky became dark, and an ominous aura seemed to cover the sky. All of the people in the world felt uncomfortable, like something was going to happen.

The expressions of the leaders of the ten great clans changed, except for the leader of the Drakin clan, as they sensed that something was wrong.

[Interference with space-time has been detected; forceful teleportation is beginning.]

"What the fuck!!!" The sudden, cold voice in Apollo’s mind shocked him. What happened? What interference with space-time and forceful teleportation? Before he could figure out anything, he seemed to be struck by lightning and suddenly disappeared right in front of everyone’s eyes.

But the people didn’t have time to understand what just happened as a gigantic crimson hand seemed to cover the sky and appeared with a terrifying, soul-stirring laughter.

"Haha haha... finally found another one."

"Quick awaken the ancestor; use the divine artifact quick...."

The leaders of the ten clans, horrified by the aura of the crimson hand, tried to awaken them to fight the mighty being whose hands seemed to cover the world.

"Haha, the time has finally come! Haha, all of you cannot do anything—your ancestors couldn’t do anything against the Great Master. Without wasting your time, you should all accept it."

The clan leader of the Drakin clan seemed to expect this moment and laughed maniacally, like a psycho, as he looked at the mighty being that appeared in the sky with reverence and worship.

The ancestors of the other nine clans awakened and immediately used their clans’ divine artifacts to stop the gigantic hand, but it was no avail.

The space shattered, and the world trembled from their attack, but it did not stop the assault.

As the attack was about to hit the ground, something in Eon’s hand began to glow. Suddenly it enveloped a few meters of area, and he, along with Kassandra, disappeared just before the attack landed.

Boooom!
