Chapter 217: Becoming Saint (Part-1)

Szzzz... Crack!

Slam!

With that noise on Sky City, Apollo returned with bewilderment, as he was still in a bit of shock about what the fuck just happened.

He looked at Sky City and couldn’t help but tremble. Just before he was forcefully transported back, he had sensed the same nauseating aura he’d felt on Drakin—but this time, it was unimaginably more powerful, a magnitude beyond anything he’d encountered before.

In fact, there was no comparison at all. The difference between them was vast. If it weren’t for the faint resonance with his sword’s aura, he wouldn’t have believed they were connected in any way.

But as he was thinking about that cold mechanical voice, a gain rang in his mind.

[Forceful Teleportation Successful]

[Task- Win the Championship of the Ten Clan Assembly]

[Completed]

[Reward being issued...]

[Winning the Championship- Rewards 3000 Sky Points]

With that announcement, the cold mechanical voice in his mind disappeared, leaving the Apollo in his thoughts.

He looked at the rewarded Sky points and felt that although the task was difficult, the reward didn’t seem that bad, even though the last moment of transportation was weird.

But he had to say that the more he stays and clears those tasks, the more he feels weird about Sky City and Tower of Sky. He wonders what the connection is and why there are so many such anomalies, as there seems to be another force competing with them.

"Three thousand Sky points," he murmured to himself. "What should I do with them?" He let go of these thoughts; he had a feeling that in a few months, he would know everything he wanted to know; currently, he only needed to continue to become stronger.

He after doing the task, was a bit tired and quickly went back to his place to rest, and then decided how to spend his points for his next breakthrough.

The next day, he met with his master and Sol, who were also improving at a fast rate and had made breakthroughs in their strength.

His master, Aaron, had reached the late stage of the fourth rank and had increased his understanding of the Law of Lightning.

Sol, on the other hand, finally crossed a major hurdle and broke through to the fourth-rank Grandmaster level after understanding the unique Law of Compression. This law allowed him to compress any energy, including laws, to a certain extent to create devastating attacks.

He was frankly surprised when he discovered this. There are many weird laws that do not fall under the five elements or fit into general categories; for example, while sword aura is common, there are also fist aura and many other unique powers that stem from individual will, creating distinct abilities that do not entirely depend on the world’s general laws.

"It’s a strange power, really," Sol admitted, flexing his hand as if feeling the energy flow. "It’s not as straightforward as lightning or fire, but it’s powerful when used correctly.

Apollo nodded, fascinated. The uniqueness of Sol’s law was a reminder of the diversity in cultivation paths. His path, especially with his balanced foundation, allowed him to engage with various elements and powers. He knew that consolidating his newfound strength and preparing for the Saint Rank would demand careful planning.

That evening, back in his quarters, Apollo sat down to strategise his path forward. With three thousand Sky points at his disposal, he could choose powerful items, rare resources, or even access to areas within Sky City that offered insights into higher laws.

The path ahead was still shrouded in mystery, but with every step, he was shaping his destiny, ready to face whatever challenges lay beyond the horizon.

His foundation was solid even though he broke many small stages at the same time because of the Heavenly Path. Thinking of that, he couldn’t help but think, What happened there? But he cannot find anything about that from here.

He now needed to do is increase all his laws to the peak-level law domain, which is 59% of the law. Currently, only his law of space and death is just above 45%, and other law domains are barely above 30%. Even his ice law, which he was supposed to be the best at, was also at that level.

From now on, he was going to grind his points in the temple of laws until he reached his desired level of understanding of his various laws and sword aura.

With that, Apollo immediately went to the temple of laws and started to improve his understanding of laws.

As time passed, he continued to spend his points on the temple of laws, and when he emptied his points, he would do some tasks. As not all tasks are deadly, he continued this for two months.

In these two months, everything was calm, and he didn’t face any trouble or somebody come for the revenge of Salvation Society. He just grinded these two months, and today he finally reached his peak with nothing but to break through the saint realm. He looked at the row of laws and swordsmanship in the system’s profile and couldn’t help but feel proud.

[Law- Ice (59%), Death (59%), Devour (30.94%), Five-Elements (59%), Space (59%)]

[Swordsmanship- Eternal Sword Domain (99.9%; when it reaches 100%, Sword Domain will transform into Sword World), Thirty-three sword style (15th sword)]

Not only had he improved his laws, but he also created his very own 15th sword, surpassing his master and taking a step closer to completing the Thirty-Three Swords.

He further advanced his Law of Devour to the domain level, as his mental strength was already strong enough to control the strange urges associated with this law.

Apollo was finally ready to take the next step and reach the fifth rank—the realm of Saints. It was a significant milestone, as becoming a Saint would allow him to stand as an equal among the realm’s powerful geniuses. His age had always been a disadvantage, but now he was even going to overcome that challenge.

He was already many times stronger than he had been two months ago, and he couldn’t even guess how powerful he would become after he broke through and became a Saint.

Today was not just another day; it was the day he would break through to the Saint Realm, a step that would define his future. Apollo’s heart raced with anticipation as he prepared for the momentous event. Becoming a Saint would not only elevate his strength but also be a major step towards godhood.

He went back to the star core room and paid the required points. He closed his eyes and took a moment to gather his thoughts, centring himself in preparation for the breakthrough.

Inhaling deeply, he felt the cold energy of the Ice Law merging with the fierce aura of death, the steady flow of the Five Elements anchoring him, while the vastness of space surrounded him like an endless horizon. The Law of Devour pulsed within him, a reminder of the primal instincts he had tamed, and he embraced it as a part of himself rather than a threat.

With one final exhale, he focused his will on the core of his being. "Now," he whispered to himself, "is the time."

Suddenly, a surge of energy erupted from within, igniting his soul as he channelled the culmination of his training and understanding. The air around him crackled with power, resonating with the laws he had come to master.

The Star core room filled with brilliant light, and he could feel the very fabric of reality shifting as he began his transformation.

BOOM!

The ground trembled beneath him as a shockwave radiated outward, and for a brief moment, the entire space seemed to hold its breath. Apollo’s aura exploded in intensity, flooding the room with light and sound, as though the universe itself were bearing witness to his breakthrough.

The energy in the star core room began to be devoured by his body and soul like a black hole swallowing everything. As this happened, his body, soul, and laws started to merge within him.

The first transformation of his body began as his blood, bones, and organs changed at the cellular level. A certain mysterious divinity seemed to manifest as his blood and organs slowly transformed, becoming golden.

Second, his soul, which is the most mysterious, also started to transform; before, his soul had a rough figure of himself, but as the transformation continued, it became entirely identical, with a clear figure to the small detail.

Not only does his soul seem to now astral project himself out of his body like a ghosts, meaning he can, for a few minutes, break free from physical constraints.

As the transformation continued, both his mage paths started to change as the new foundation rune started to form within his mind. Slowly, a new virtual palace started to appear in his mind.

Virtual Palace is the major power-up of Mages who break through Great Magister, and only after becoming Great Magister can Mages show their true strength.
