Chapter 68: Who Will I Give The Treasure?
Herforao coughed out a mouthful of blood all of a sudden, causing him to drop to his knees. Kaiju failed to react and finally managed to arrive beside him, comforting him.
"W-What happened?" He panicked.
"Don’t fret." Herforao waved his hand to stop Kaiju from worrying. "This is just a result of calling her name? Bizarre, right? That’s how enigmatic she is."
Herforao smiled bitterly.

In a pitch-black world, darkness creeping to every corner, swallowing every light it found, a pair of round golden lights exploded, illuminating a bit of the place. They have pupils, They were covered half by the golden eyelids, the golden eyes were the size of the human eyes, yet on this world, the sovereignty of the darkness failed to conquer them.
The golden iris suddenly narrowed, concentrating the light to her face, revealing a milky-white skin. Her nose, however, was shrouded by darkness, her lips, as well, even her hair, often revealed as raven-black by the golden light, including her eyebrows. However, a pair of white teeth was revealed, curving upward, smiling.
Her seductive, womanly voice resonated in the somber, silent pitch-black world. "He called the name I have given to him. This is unusual."
She chuckled. She cast a magic spell to Herforao, a sneaky one he failed to see through, that would explode inside his body, running rampant, once it recognized a word uttered by him. For the first time, it was activated. There was definitely something fishing happening to him.
"That guy is doing something behind my back." She grinned. "Let me see."
Her golden eyes tilted upward and another ball exploded in the pitch-black world, causing even her body to be revealed. However, for some reason, her face was still shrouded, leaving behind her flawless milky-white legs–atop, especially her private part was covered by a black dress.. The ball was her another closed eye, but this time, it was considerably massive. It suddenly opened, manifesting a square projection, revealing Herforao and Kaiju.
She was stunned when she spotted Kaiju and her lips curled upward. "So, he revealed me to him." She soon felt disinterested and shrugged. "Whatever. Nothing will change anyway."
She closed her eyes and the massive round ball faded into sparkled sand. Darkness soon swallowed every light. The last speckled golden light managed to reflect a black feather floating, dancing downward and landed with thousands of black feathers. The pitch-black world returned to its usual state, as though the bizarre scene did not occur at all.

"She knows about me now?" Kaiju was deeply frightened. It did not take a minute for him to understand what had happened and quickly formulated a terrifying assumption.
"Yes." Herforao chuckled. "But, don’t worry. I know that woman very well. In her eyes, you are insignificant. She will treat you like nothing important."
"How can you be so sure?" Kaiju would not believe on the answer, seemingly lacking convincing arguments.
"I know her very well, Kaiju. I know her too much." Herforao shook his head. "You are panicking. I doubt now if you can fight her. You are too weak."
Kaiju was taken aback. He soon forced himself to calm down. He shook his head and laughed lightly. "How can I not be anxious? You even feared her, so try to see it in my shoes, will you?"
"You have nothing to fear. The very least you fear is death. But death is always present. Even I can kill you right now. It is you who can control death. Panicking will lead you to nothing. It only just shows how weak you are."
For once in a while, Herforao’s yapping was enlightening. Kaiju closed his eyes, respirated heavily for a while. He realized he had been relying on Emotionless skill so much that he even failed to control his emotions. Although his emotions had become dull for overusing it, it quickly returned to normal for how emotionally fragile he was.
He sighed, helpless and depressed at the same time. He shook his head and said, "You are right. Nothing will change now even if she knows about me. I can only trust you now. I hope she really does not put me in her eyes."
"She does not." Herforao finally managed to stand straight, though blood was still leaking from his mouth. "It is normal for her to feel that way. After all, the strong always do not care about the weak much, except if they put their interest in it. "
Kaiju nodded. "Anyway, is it a coincidence that I know a woman whose name is Lucy as well?"
Herforao was taken aback, he asked agitatedly, "Really?"
Kaiju took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and nodded.
"Can it be her?"
"I’m unsure either." Kaiju shook his head. "Although she might be the strongest human, I am definitely certain she can’t fight you. The danger I felt from you is much stronger than what I felt from her. But, she might be hiding something. I will try to observe her for now."
Herforao was too stunned to speak, he fell into a daze, contemplating. He then stared at Kaiju in silence, pondering for a while, and suddenly shook his head.
"Don’t be conspicuous. It might arouse her interest. I suggest you will only be cautious of her once you succeed in stealing the treasure."
Kaiju’s eyebrows furrowed. "Why do you think so? I have already decided to give the treasure to the Werewolves, hoping I will gain a pet from them."
Snow suddenly hissed, communicating with her Master. "Please do not, Master. Just choose the Witch, so you can learn Curse spells from her."
Kaiju shook his head and said, "I have thought about it but I have decided not to. She might give me nothing after offending her."
"That is the same for the Werewolves." Snow cried.
"You will give the treasure to no one, Kaiju." Herforao snorted. "You will die early before completing the Trial. Own the treasure and defeat Vladislaus."
Kaiju was gobsmacked.
