Kaiju briefly understood the current note of the Gacha System. However, that cost him several more wounds to appear.

"Why are you distracted?" Qwanisha scolded.

However, Kaiju ignored her and summoned the Shadowfang dagger. At the same time, as he deactivated his Emotionless Skill, the effects of the Pain Tolerance triggered.

’Just in time!’ Kaiju suddenly perceive everything clearly, making the arrows even seemingly moving slow. He could even appear to be discerning the trajectory of the arrows, increasing the chances of evading or parrying it efficiently.

What he liked the change the most though was the burst of physical strength and his reflexes, he even felt he would not be tired by overdoing his body movement. In addition, the arrows left a wound not deeper and wider than before. However, in the end, Kaiju was still suffering from bleeding.

Kaiju assumed he had three minutes at most to parry all Qwanisha’s arrows and counterattack. However, there was a problem. He was still getting used to dual daggers, his left hand, as a result, barely able to move at all, as he was right-handed. Kaiju felt frustrated, but with a clear mind, he was beginning to adapt.

Slowly, as Kaiju finally was able to evade with a slight body movement and parry all the arrows, he took his first step. Three seconds later, followed by another. Five seconds later, Kaiju took the third step. But each time he got nearer, the difficulty to parry the arrows, even more so in eluding them, soared. However, Kaiju achieved his first goal.

He finally stepped on a shadow. There, the effects of his artifacts triggered.

Now, despite the difficulty increasing, his response elevated, too. Even Qwanisha was beginning to take it seriously. At this point, Qwanisha and Kaiju’s distance was five meters. Kaiju grinned under the hood.

She sensed his presence appearing behind her back, sensing no danger as she reacted just in time. The arrow left her hand at a speed faster than her crossbow could produce.

The swift arrow startled Kaiju as he hastily blocked it with his daggers simultaneously. The first dagger tried to diminish its speed and the second dagger parried it away. Kaiju successfully blocked the arrow without destroying the Shadowfang, but seeing the cracks all over its body, his heart could only ache from the amount it would cost to repair it.

Kaiju was momentarily distracted and Qwanisha said, "What are you doing? Like I said, we don’t have a rest."

Kaiju was taken aback, but was awakened by his reverie when an arrow bolted towards him, blocking it with the Bloodthorn. Kaiju gritted his teeth, watching another round of endless arrows flying towards him.

Three minutes later, Kaiju fell to the floor, ignoring the countless arrows piercing through his body. He was literally filled with arrows yet his eyes were opened wide. Qwanisha purposely evaded to hit the vital parts and her arrows did not penetrate deep enough to disturb Kaiju’s blood flow.

At the same time, Kaiju’s heart ached bringing the Shadowfang in front of him, losing its body as it could not endure the endless arrow bombardment. Kaiju almost wept, grasping the Shadowfang tightly and threw it away in exasperation.

However, his unluckiness did not end yet.

Qwanisha noticed Kaiju’s body was healing. She was taken aback but then quickly recalled it should be the effects of the passive resistance skill. However, Kaiju seemed to not be intending to be healed, letting the arrows on his body, preventing the wound from being healed.

She shouted, "What are you doing?"

Kaiju grumbled and hastily took out all the arrows. Thirty seconds later, another round of parrying the arrows and attempting to counter attack took place.

Kaiju didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
