Chapter 935: Unyielding Resolve

"Surrender," Elder Wong’s calm voice echoed from outside the barrier, reaching Seonho Ming’s ears.

"Elder, I can still fight!" Seonho Ming’s eyes burned with fury and unwillingness. He couldn’t accept losing; something must have gone wrong for him to be defeated.

"You are the future of Eternal One Sect. Losing now doesn’t matter; there will be more opportunities ahead." Elder Wong’s gaze was icy as it fell on Kenny Lin, hinting at unspoken intentions.

Seonho Ming understood, his heart filled with bitterness. But Elder Wong was right—he’d have another chance for revenge. When they entered the Path of All Immortals, life and death would be beyond outside control, and he swore to take Kenny Lin’s life and wipe away this shame.

"I surrender." With that, Seonho Ming returned to the Eternal One Sect camp without a backward glance.

"Elder, without a gold token, the Eternal One Sect won’t enter the Path of All Immortals..." Sect Leader Mao looked grim.

"We’ll see," Elder Wong replied coolly. "The Green Lotus Sect can’t hold onto two tokens without resistance. Even if we don’t act, others will."

At this, Sect Leader Mao fell silent, his gaze cold as he looked at the Green Lotus Sect.

"It seems the Eternal One Sect hasn’t given up yet," Peak Master Houshan murmured darkly, noticing Sect Leader Mao’s gaze.

"It’s fine," Tan Kai said with a smile. "Whatever they’re planning in the Path of All Immortals tomorrow, every situation there is different. As long as Jirandal Tang, Taeseon Lei, and the others stick together, the Eternal One Sect won’t find an opening."

Elder Wang replied, "I just worry they might get separated and give other sects a chance to strike."

Tan Kai smiled again. "The Path of All Immortals is both a blessing and a risk. Let’s leave the rest to fate; if we gain, it’s our luck, if we lose, it’s our destiny. It’s all meant to be."

The others nodded their heads respectfully to him.

With Seonho Ming’s surrender, the second challenge officially ended. Everyone quickly gathered around Kenny Lin, with Seongwoo Jin nudging him excitedly.

"Martial uncle, you really pulled it off! Truly, quiet strength!"

Kenny Lin suddenly coughed up blood, his face even paler than before.

Seongwoo Jin froze, noticing everyone’s accusing looks. He quickly explained, "It wasn’t me—I barely touched him!"

"We know exactly how hard you hit," Jinhwa Hou retorted, taking the opportunity to scold him. "How could you go nudging the martial uncle right after a bloody battle? He’s in a vulnerable state!"

"Enough, Jinhwa Hou," Seongwoo Jin replied, catching onto the hidden criticism.

Amalia couldn’t help but glance at Kenny Lin. Still putting on a show?

Kenny Lin met her gaze with a wink. He wasn’t acting—he’d just accidentally coughed up some blood.

"Can you still handle the third challenge?" Jirandai Tang asked with concern.

Kenny Lin wiped the blood from his mouth with a confident smile. "Of course. We defended the first gold token, so we must defend the second one too."

"One is plenty; no need to risk your life for another," Jirandai Tang said. If he hadn’t been injured so badly, they might’ve hoped for another victory, but seeing him in this condition, she doubted he could defeat a second opponent.

"A pity we couldn’t keep both gold tokens," Jinhwa Hou said with regret, hitting his fist into his palm.

Taeseon Lei replied calmly, "Two tokens would make us a target. Losing one may not be so bad after all."

"You’re right, Taeseon Lei," Eunbyeol Ling added. "Martial uncle, your spiritual power is exhausted. Even if you start recovering now, you won’t reach peak condition. Your next opponent is at the peak of the Soul Formation stage, and these challengers are all elites. To beat them, you need more than a bit of spiritual power."

Jirandai Tang nodded. "Besides, we can always win back the gold token. And if you worry about not retrieving it, we still have the crystal, silver, and black token saved from before."

"No need for that. Once it’s given, we won’t take it back," Amalia said on behalf of Kenny Lin.

"Aren’t you worried about martial uncle’s safety?" Eunbyeol Ling asked with a slight frown.

"You’re underestimating him. He only looks weak—he can still fight. If I remember right, there’s a short break allowed between each of the three challenges, right?" Amalia looked over at Jirandai Tang.

"Yes, there’s a two-quarter-hour break between rounds," Jirandai Tang replied, curious about Amalia’s intentions.

"So, if I wanted to challenge someone myself, that’d be allowed?" Amalia asked, her gaze shifting toward the Eternal One Sect’s side.

Everyone followed her gaze toward the disciples of the Eternal One Sect. Jirandai Tang paused, surprised. "You’re thinking of challenging one of their disciples?"

"Why not?" Amalia replied.

"Well, it’s allowed, but I don’t see much point," Jirandai Tang replied, beginning to understand. Maybe Amalia wanted to boost morale, but this wasn’t the same situation as Martial uncle’s.

Although both were at the Soul Formation stage, the gap between the two minor levels could be bridged. But the difference between the peak of the Nascent Soul stage and the late of the Soul Formation stage was an immense one, nearly impossible to overcome.

"It’s a natural divide."

"You want to challenge that Jiheon Yang? He’s hardly worth it; he only has a few tokens," Kenny Lin commented calmly while restoring his spiritual energy with more pills.

"It doesn’t matter. His tokens aren’t my goal," Amalia replied.

"Still, gaining a few extra sect tokens for the Green Lotus Sect wouldn’t hurt," Renshu Chang added reflexively.

"Renshu Chang." Jirandai Tang shot him a look. What was he thinking? Renshu Chang was usually level-headed—why was he encouraging Amalia to challenge someone beyond her level?

Only after Jirandai Tang called him out did Renshu Chang realize his mistake, feeling annoyed at himself. He should have urged Amalia not to take such a risky path, just like the others.

"Amalia, Jiheon Yang is annoying, but can’t this wait? With your cultivation speed, revenge in ten days wouldn’t be too late."
