Chapter 1210: Statues of Faith

At first, Amalia had no idea why she was suddenly receiving so much faith energy—she even thought the Emperor had already started spreading her legend.

Later, when he learned that the statues were still being carved, he finally realized what was going on.

It must have been Major General Rafiq, out there fighting on the front lines, who had misunderstood.

At first, he thought Major General Rafiq was just particularly clever and perceptive.

"Major General." Officer Khan knocked on the door of the strategy meeting room, and Major General Rafiq’s voice came from inside, permitting him to enter.

"Is there any new development?" Major General Rafiq was in the middle of discussing their next course of action with Khalil and the others.

"Not at the moment, but just a few minutes ago, we intercepted a special frequency. It appears to be from a large-class battleship, originating from about three light-years away, near the Planet Lumora sector."

"Could it be an alien battleship?" Major General Rafiq frowned in thought.

"But we’ve already wiped out most of the alien battleships. Also, this frequency is quite different from those of the alien vessels we’ve encountered before. It seems to belong to something even more powerful than their battleships."

Major General Rafiq pondered for a moment. "Keep monitoring it and see if we can gather more concrete information. If they dare make a move on Planet Lumora, we’ll initiate an immediate space jump—we won’t let them get away."

"Understood." Officer Khan nodded and turned around to leave.

"Major General, could it be reinforcements for the aliens?" Khalil immediately asked.

"The chances are low. Even if the aliens had sent out a distress signal the moment we attacked, it would take time to reach another star system. It’s been less than a month—there’s no way they could have received it yet." Major General Rafiq dismissed the idea without hesitation. "I do, however, have a different suspicion."

Khalil pressed for details, but Major General Rafiq didn’t answer.

He was waiting for Officer Khan’s next report.

Fortunately, they didn’t have to wait long.

Officer Khan returned just over half an hour later.

The frequency they had intercepted had only passed through Planet Lumora—it hadn’t stopped.

It had continued on its trajectory, heading in the direction of Planet Veloxia.

Major General Rafiq’s expression showed no surprise.

"It seems highly likely that this is a visitor from the Pleiades Star System. Officer Khan, find a way to send word back to Planet Veloxia immediately."

Meanwhile, on Planet Veloxia—

Amalia was informed by the Emperor that the statues of her had finally been completed.

A total of two hundred had been carved.

It had taken nearly all of the empire’s top sculptors working together to create so many in such a short time.

But if they wanted to spread Amalia’s legacy throughout the entire star system, two hundred statues were far from enough.

Amalia had yet to see these statues and decided to take a look in person.

Kenny Lin was even more interested than she was—before she could say anything, he had already insisted on going along.

That afternoon, the two of them followed the Emperor, who personally led them to a grand hall within the royal court.

The hall had once been a venue for large banquets, capable of accommodating tens of thousands of guests.

Now, it was in complete disarray, with scattered stone fragments and debris littering the floor.

As soon as they entered, they saw a corner where the statues had been stacked together.

It was the first time Amalia had ever seen statues of herself—and so many of them at that.

Her expression became somewhat indescribable, an odd mix of emotions washing over her.

She couldn’t shake a strange sense of embarrassment.

"I want one too," Kenny Lin suddenly declared.

The Emperor was taken aback. "Mr. Kenny, didn’t you say you didn’t need one?"

"You could carve a tiny version of me, just a small figure, and place it in Amalia’s hand. Or on her shoulder. Or even hidden in her hair."

Kenny Lin held up two fingers, showing a length of less than ten centimeters.

The Emperor gave an awkward smile—why did that sound so strange?

"Ignore him," Amalia interjected at the right moment, stopping the Emperor before he actually went through with it.

"What materials were used to make these statues?"

The Emperor straightened his expression. "They were carved from the hardest stone available. Once finished, we’ll reinforce them with additional protective layers, such as superalloy coatings, to ensure the statues don’t fade or get damaged."

"You’ve put a lot of thought into this," Amalia nodded in satisfaction. "But I’ll have to trouble you to carve one more—a much larger one."

The Emperor’s eyes lit up. "Rest assured, Ms. Amalua, I’ve already given the order. This grand statue will be placed on Planet Veloxia, and once order is restored, I’ll have people care for it every single day."

Amalia chuckled.

This Emperor was quite different from the usual kind—just as she was thinking about it, he had already made the arrangements.

"Let me know when it’s finished."

Since she planned to cultivate the citizens of the Draconis Empire into her followers, she had to ensure that their faith remained sustainable over time.

"Ms. Amalia, don’t worry. You’re welcome to oversee the process personally if you wish," the Emperor said with a smile.

"No need for that. I trust you’ll handle it well."

Amalia wasn’t particularly concerned with the statue’s level of craftsmanship—as long as it was recognizable as her, that was enough.

"Then make one for me too," Kenny Lin chimed in, unwilling to be left out.

"You’re not even trying to gather followers. What do you need a statue for?" Amalia sighed.

Kenny Lin snorted. "Better to be prepared. What if I decide to start later?"

"So, you’re planning to compete with me for followers?" Amalia raised an eyebrow.

Kenny Lin was momentarily speechless.

After a pause, he said, "Fine, I’ll develop my followers in another star system
