Chapter 1156: The Prince’s Wrath

"He is so ruthless," Thalaxia gritted her teeth. "Does he really think he can ignore the laws of the universe?"

Gryphion’s face was grim. "Universal laws only apply in higher-dimensional universes. And if Aelra managed to drive away the Space Insectoid Queen, he must have used some special method—something we weren’t meant to know. That’s why he wants to silence us."

"So are we just supposed to wait here and die? I refuse!" Thalaxia shouted angrily.

"Of course not. If Aelra wants to keep this secret, we’ll make sure he fails. Even if we die, we must get this information to the Prince." Without hesitation, Gryphion activated the secret transmission channel and entered a string of encrypted commands.

The channel opened.

He encoded everything that had happened into a series of encrypted messages and sent them through the secret channel, initiating the transmission.

When the system confirmed that the message had been successfully sent, both he and Thalaxia let out a sigh of relief.

At least now, they wouldn’t die in complete silence.

Even though they had called for help, they had no intention of giving up.

"Close the transmission channel. We’re making an immediate space jump," Gryphion ordered without hesitation.

With Hess gone, he now held the highest authority on the ship.

"But the ship’s energy reserves are too low. We won’t be able to make many jumps," Thalaxia hesitated.

"It’s better than dying."

That single sentence from Gryphion silenced Thalaxia.

She immediately got to work.

With the command given, there was no time for extensive system checks.

The Skeleton Ship began preparations for a space jump.

As it gathered massive amounts of energy for the jump, the opposing battleship detected the energy fluctuations almost instantly.

"They actually dare to attempt a space jump in front of a cosmic battleship? They must have a death wish."

Officer Khan gave the attack order without hesitation.

A barrage of cannon fire roared to life.

Halfway through the Skeleton Ship’s energy buildup, several direct hits from the enemy fire destroyed its engine, halting the energy output.

Moments later, the terrifying silver Skeleton Ship—feared by all humans—was obliterated by the firepower of their own battleship.

In the depths of space, it bloomed like a brilliant explosion, dazzling like a cosmic firework.

Far across the Erythar Star System, on another cosmic battleship—

An alien crew member suddenly received a distress signal from the silver Skeleton Ship.

With lanic expression, he rushed over to inform the Prince.

At the entrance, he was stopped by the royal guards.

"Halt. The Prince is occupied. No one is allowed to disturb him," the guard said coldly, his expression rigid and unforgiving.

"I have urgent news for the Prince. If anything goes wrong because of this delay, you’ll be the ones to answer for it," Roberdyck retorted, his face turned dark.

He knew exactly what the royal guards meant by the Prince being ’occupied.’

The guard hesitated.

The Prince despised interruptions.

If he was disturbed in a bad mood, someone would surely die.

"It concerns Lord Velzok," Roberdyck pressed, his voice turning even colder when he saw the guard still unmoving.

Fortunately, the guard was aware that Lord Velzok had been sent on a mission by the Prince.

Finally, he stopped hesitating and turned around to knock on the door.

A furious roar came from inside, accompanied by a few weak gasps.

"GET OUT!"

Bracing himself, the guard spoke through the door. "My Prince, something has happened to Lord Velzok and his team."

A moment later, the door swung open with a sharp whoosh.

A tall, strikingly handsome alien man stepped out from the room while naked.

Behind him, the room was in complete disarray.

Several bodies—whether dead or unconscious—lay sprawled across the floor.

His chiseled features were sculpted with an icy sharpness.

His piercing sapphire eyes held the cold edge of a blade as they locked onto the guard.

"If this news is unimportant, you’ll take your punishment personally," he warned.

The guard instantly regretted his decision.

If he had known, he wouldn’t have listened to Roberdyck, even if it was about Lord Velzok.

"My Prince, something happened to Lord Velzok and his team just now. I received a transmission from Gryphion through the secret channel," Buddy said with a grave expression.

The Prince of Doomsday stretched out his arms.

Instantly, the two alien maids emerged from the shadows, carefully draping a long robe over his shoulders and fastening the belt.

Without a word, the Prince of Doomsday strode toward the adjacent room.

"Gryphion said that it was General Aelra’s cosmic battleship that killed them. Lord Velzok and his team were sent by you to search for an energy planet. While on their mission, they encountered General Aelra’s battleship. According to them, that area was swarming with a group of Space Insectoids, but Aelra’s battleship drove them away. After that, he claimed sole possession of an energy planet with a purity level of at least seventy to eighty percent..."

As soon as the door closed, Roberdyck began relaying the distress message he had received.

"They’re saying that Aelra killed Velzok and his team just to silence them?" The Prince of Doomsday’s presence darkened with fury.

"Yes," Roberdyck said, bowing his head.

The Prince’s hand, which had just lifted a cup, suddenly let it drop.

The glass shattered into pieces across the floor.

"Aelra dares to lay a hand on my people? Just to silence them? Does he really think I wouldn’t have secret communication channels on my ships?"

"He likely doesn’t know, my lord. Not all battleship have such configurations," Roberdyck replied.

Establishing a secret communication network was no easy task.

Only because their master was a Prince did they have access to such technology.

"No. He knew," the Prince of Doomsday said coldly, his rage simmering. "He knew and still deliberately provoked me."

As for the fact that Aelra’s battleship had been taken, that was never even a consideration for the aliens.

Roberdyck fell silent for a moment.
