Fated to the Alpha's Sons: An Omegas Rise to Fame -
Chapter 34: Tristan, the hacker.
Chapter 34: Tristan, the hacker.
"Good morning, Sir." The boys greeted at once as they walked into the dimly lit conference room, all standing in a straight line.
"Good morning. " Their father muttered, his eyes fixated on the documents they had sent to him earlier. "You may sit."
Without uttering another word, they took their positions at his sides, laying out their respective documents .
"Can someone please explain this report to me?" He asked looking up to them, his anger peeking out a bit.
"Which of them, Father?" Theo asked quietly.
"You know which, Theodore. Don’t ask stupid questions . " Sampson warned, venom seeping into his voice.
"The investigation of that case just started, Father. We are yet to reach any milestones. " Troy tried to explain.
"And whose fault is that? Huh? If you had listened when I told you three that he wasn’t to be trusted, this wouldn’t have happened!" The Alpha scolded, banging his fist on the reinforced table top.
"Well, it has happened already, Dad. And we didn’t mean to disobey you or something. You knew who he was, not just generally but to us as well. He played a vital role in this pack. Both him and his parents. Accepting such suspicion without any solid proofs would have been horrible and you know that." Tristan explained, his voice void of any emotions.
"No, Tristan. That evidence wasn’t substantial. It was concrete. " Sampson argued further.
"Oh and you would prosecute your Beta just because he was seatmates with your enemy in elementary school?!" Tristan asked, an astounded look sitting on his face.
"Tristan-" Sampson started but Tristan wasn’t having it.
"No, Dad. We are very much affected by this, just as you are and everyone else. And we have a ton of messes to clean up and that’s because we were the only ones that believed in him.-"
"- Yes, we thought we knew him so well and all but turns out we were mistaken. And news flash, Dad, everyone makes mistakes! So will you please, cut us some slack? The shareholders are at our throats already, we do not need you breathing down our neck either." He said at once, looking his father dead in the eye, leaving the older man speechless.
’Calm down, Man. You did well.’ Troy said to Tristan through their mind link. (Let me know in the comments if you don’t know what it means.)
After a while of silence, Sampson looked up to his sons. "You know, ever since the day you three were born and pronounced Alphas, I haven’t had much rest. Not from you guys of course, but from external forces. The elders, the council, most of the shareholders don’t mind much, but a few do.-"
"-Some members of the pack were opposed as well, some still are but know better than to blab. It hasn’t been easy keeping everything at bay. Family life, Alpha life and Father’s life.-"
"-I was really annoyed because I felt this situation was something we could have handled on our own, if we hadn’t trusted him, but truthfully, it really wasn’t something we could control, and now, I’ve got the shareholders who have been against your successions breathing down my neck. That was why I was tense, and couldn’t think straight. I’m so sorry for leaving you guys aside."
"It’s okay, Dad. It happens. We just need you to trust that no matter what, we’d always have each other. Just trust us and let us trust you. This whole thing was a shit show from the onset. We can’t fight it divided." Tristan said, cooly this time.
"Yeah, we can’t." Sampson said, sighing. The tension in the room was slowly dissipating. "Speaking of we, please could you guys actually explain this report." He said, lifting a document.
"It’s a transaction report of all the activities of Luther Corporation, both those on the surface amd those hidden under wraps." Troy stated.
"Okay, but why do we have it? And how did you get it?" Sampson asked, very confused.
"I hacked into their server and pulled it out. I also hacked their coms, security cameras, everything." Tristan said, scratching the back of his head, leaving his father very shocked.
"Tristan?! I thought we said no more hacking?!" Sampson scolded, intertwining his fingers, gaining composure. His sons were shocking him at every step.
"I had to do it. You know I always do what I have to. Our contact in their company chickened out so I had to get my hands dirty and at the same time, dig up as much dirt as I could on every employee of importance. We’ve been too lenient on them." Tristan explained cooly like he was talking about the weather, his eyes on the documents before him, not wanting anyone to read through him.
"I have to say, you kinda surprised me, but I believe we can make good use of the materials we’ve got right?" Sampson asked, a small smile on his lips.
"Yes, we have to. All though , I haven’t had time to deal with all of these deeply but I could use your help." He said turning to his brothers and father.
"That’s guaranteed. What is the financial report?" Sampson said, looking serious now.
"In that report is every payment and investment Luther Corp made to Drew and his cohorts, both directly and through shell companies, for every act they carried out." Tristan explained.
"Okay. That proves that Luther Corp is responsible and that Drew and his friends worked for him, so it ties them together, but that is it. It’s not exactly concrete, they could easily delete them and liquidate the shell companies." Sampson reasoned.
"No, Dad. It doesn’t work that way." Troy said this time.
"Companies do not delete transactions, because of audits from the government. If it’s realized that there were deleted transactions, the company would be brought to lime light and would be investigated thoroughly to ensure there weren’t any fraudulent activities going on. Hence the shell companies." He explained.
"Okay. So it’s concrete evidence then?." Sampson asked.
"Yes, it is." Troy replied.
"What’s our next move then? We already have the transaction receipts and evidences of shell companies. What do we do next, because I’m sure we can’t take these things to court. They were gotten illegally."
"Yes we can’t do that. But what we can do, is hunt them down and expose them." Tristan said coldly.
