Chapter 47: Confessions And Chemistry
"What plans are you talking about?" Lucas asked, looking puzzled.
"Your plans with the Philip twins. How you planned to drug me and then rape me, after which you’ll post the video online and I’ll be expelled from school," Olive revealed bluntly. "I thought you were no longer a bully, but I was wrong."
"How did you find out about it?" Lucas inquired, looking shocked as he scratched his head.
’He’s not even planning to deny it. So despicable,’ Olive thought, her body boiling with anger, her fierce face fixed on Lucas.
"But you’re wrong about one thing. I didn’t plan it. The twins did. And I’ve warned them not to mess with you," Lucas replied.
"Yeah! You’re going to remove yourself now and blame it all on the twins. I expected it from you," Olive said.
"I’m serious. The twins were upset with me for talking to a scholarship student due to the fact that my sister died at the hands of a scholarship student. They wanted to deal with you for not respecting boundaries, Lucas explained. I didn’t tell you because I asked them not to harm you, and they agreed, so I kept it a secret.
’Henry only managed to record the part where you promised the twins not to inform me about their intentions," Olive uttered as she nod her head in realization.
"Oh, someone recorded it?" Lucas chuckled lightly. " Guess the person didn’t capture our entire conversation, so there was a misunderstanding."
" I’m sorry for misinterpreting your actions. I thought you were trying to manipulate me into trusting you and then hurting me," Olive said sadly.
" I’ve been wondering why you’ve been ignor
ing me. You’ve been giving me the silent treatment since yesterday," Lucas said with a burst of laughter, and Olive joined in.
"I’m sorry about that and I also forgive the twins," Olive said with a smile. "Since they’ve realized their mistakes, it’s normal to forgive them."
"Oh, that’s so sweet of you. Thanks for that, Arthur," Lucas said with a bright smile on his face even though he knows that the twins didn’t realize their mistakes and only apologized because they wanted him to talk to their father not to purnish them.
"You mentioned something about being friends while I was still angry with you? Do you really mean it? I thought we were just teammates," Olive inquired, her eyebrows raised in curiosity.
"That’s what I thought, but I’m starting to see you as a friend. It’s crazy, I know, but I want to keep you as a friend. I don’t know if you see me as one, though," Lucas replied, his gaze locked with Olive.
"It’s just surprising," Olive said with a light chuckle. "Friends it is then!" She added as she grabbed Arthur’s hand, sending waves of shock down his spine as he swallowed hard.
"I believe we can share secrets with each other now that we’re friends," Lucas asked, his gaze still locked with Olive.
"Oh no! Don’t tell me you want to be my friend just to know my secrets," Olive said.
"No, no! You only tell me what you feel like. Besides, I want to share a secret with you that’s why I brought the topic up. I don’t really feel like telling Mark and Aiden yet. I want to tell you because I believe you’ll understand me better," Lucas said with a smile on his lips.
"Okay! You’re only sharing your secret, but I have no secret to share," Olive said excitedly.
"Fine!" Lucas said, his gaze fixed on Olive. "I think I’m gay or perhaps straight," he added.
"Huh!" Olive exclaimed with a shocked expression as she swallowed hard.
"Yeah! It’s crazy, but I think I am or probably straight. I’ve done lots of research, thought about it before accepting this fact that I’m gay."
"Why did you say that? Your research might be wrong," Olive replied. "You can’t just assume you’re gay just because of some random research."
"Yeah! But I kissed you and felt nothing wrong about it," Lucas revealed, which made Olive swallow hard. "You’re a guy that I kiss, and yet I felt nothing bad in doing so."
"Our kiss was a mistake. It’s not real; hence, you shouldn’t assume you’re gay just because of those kisses. Did you kiss another guy and get the same feelings?"
"No! I’ve only kissed you," Lucas replied, his gaze still locked with Olive.
"Then you can’t assume that you’re gay. Do you feel horny whenever you stare at other boys’ manhood and ass in the bathroom?" Olive asked, her eyebrows raised.
"No! And I don’t think I’ll ever feel okay if I actually kissed another guy. But I do get a boner when I’m close to you, even though I’ve never seen you naked. I have a boner right now," he added, prompting Olive to gaze down at Lucas’s trousers and behold his manhood has risen and is visible under his shorts.
"What the heck!" Olive exclaimed as she got up from the chair, with Lucas following suit. "You’re overthinking things. I’m not gay, and clearly, you’re not either since you don’t like kissing other guys. Maybe you’re feeling this way towards me because we’re sharing a dorm room.
"But I’ve always shared a room with Mark and Aiden, and I never felt this way, even though I’ve seen them naked and gotten close to them many times," Lucas replied, frustration evident in his body language.
"Is he feeling this way because he thinks I’m a girl? Is that why he’s acting like this towards me?" Olive wondered to herself, feeling nervous and her heart racing.
"I think I’ve developed feelings for you. Yes, I’ve fallen for a guy. It’s crazy, but you’re the only one who makes me feel this way. My heart flutters when I’m with you, I worry when you’re not around, and I feel lost when we argue," Lucas confessed, moving closer to Olive, who was at a loss for words.
"I know you may not feel the same way, but I like you. I wouldn’t mind being gay if it means being with you," Lucas continued.
"You’re overthinking things, Lucas. Maybe you’re stressed or unwell. I’ve never heard of a guy getting feelings for just one person when there are so many others around. You should see a doctor," Olive suggested, trying to walk away but being pulled back by Lucas.
"Let me show you that I’m not crazy. True love is when your heart beats for one person and not for many," Lucas said, locking eyes with Olive.
Before Olive could respond, Lucas kissed her on the lips. As their lips met, Olive felt a jolt of electricity. She couldn’t deny the chemistry between them, and Lucas’s words echoed in her mind: "I’ve really fallen for you."
