Disguised As A Boy To Attend Belmont High School
Chapter 37: The Aftermath Of Truth

Chapter 37: The Aftermath Of Truth

Miss Aimee’s revelation was so shocking that even the heavens seemed to echo with a loud thunderstorm. The officers were in disbelief, their mouths hanging open.

"Samuel?!" Officer Blackwood asked, trying to confirm what she had just heard, her body still tense with shock.

"Yes, I was intimate with both the father and son," Miss Aimee replied with a heavy sigh, tears still streaming down her cheeks. "Sorry, they’re not even related," she added with a smirk.

"Samuel is gay, as far as we know," Officer Johnson interjected.

"He may appear gay to you all, but he’s actually straight. He can date both boys and girls," Miss Aimee revealed, still laughing with an evil tone.

"Why did you kill him?" Officer Blackwood asked, her expression more serious than usual.

"He was angry when he found out about my relationship with his father. He threatened to expose the truth to Robert," Miss Aimee explained.

"I love Samuel and Robert. I see Samuel when Robert is away on business trips, but when Robert returns, I end things with Samuel," she continued.

Officer Johnson sighed heavily, pondering the situation.

"I can’t be with Samuel or have a child with him. He’s a minor, and I’m much older. It would ruin my career. Giving the baby to Robert would secure my place as his second wife and ensure the child’s future," Miss Aimee explained, gently caressing her belly.

"When Samuel discovered my plan, he threatened to sabotage it by revealing to Robert that we had been in a relationship and that I was pregnant with his child." She concluded.

"So you murdered him to conceal the truth. And once you marry Robert, you intend to slowly eliminate Mrs. Robert and become his sole wife." Officer Johnson added.

"I did intend to gradually eliminate her after marrying Robert, yes. However, even after Samuel’s death, Robert remained unwilling to acknowledge me or the child I was carrying out of fear of losing everything he had with his wife and family.

"He had the legal right to manage and possess her assets as her spouse. That’s why I made the choice to eliminate her and then marry Robert a year later. This way, Robert wouldn’t lose the property, and I would become his wife. However, it turned out that Robert was unable to father a child, so he realized that the baby I was carrying wasn’t his."

Officer Blackwood applauded sarcastically, "Bravo, what a brilliant scheme you had. I must say, you’re quite the master planner." She clapped her hands with a smirk on her face.

"Anyway, one thing I can assure you is that you will be imprisoned." Officer Johnson said with a serious tone. "You have taken a life and Mr. Robert, who may have thought his secret would remain hidden forever, never expected to be exposed one day," he added as he handed a file to Officer Blackwood.

"This is an evidence that proves his involvement in corruption. As the Minister of Finance, he has been found to be corrupt by misusing government funds. He will also face imprisonment." Officer Blackwood stated with a stern expression.

Miss Aimee could only bury her head in her hands and cry uncontrollably.

"Today is not the day for tears. You will have plenty of time for that in prison. I can assure you of that." Officer Blackwood said before leaving the interrogation room, leaving Officer Johnson and Miss Aimee alone.

"How is my husband?" Mrs. Robert asked as soon as Officer Blackwood exited the interrogation room.

"You should all come to my office," Officer. Blackwood replied, leading the way as the others followed.

The tape recording Miss Aimee’s confession was played, causing shock to ripple through those present.

"This is surprising! Who would have thought Miss Aimee was the murderer?" Mrs. Adams whispered, her eyes wide with disbelief. Life is full of unexpected twists.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Robert continued to cry uncontrollably at the revelation, struggling to come to terms with the truth. First, her adopted son was killed by her husband’s mistress, and now her husband was facing prison time for embezzlement.

"Let’s head home now! Mrs. Williams whispered to Olive and Lara, who both nodded in agreement as they exited the station. Mr. and Mrs. Adam also left with Austin, leaving Mrs. Robert behind.

A week had gone by, and the vacation had come to an end. The sun rose over the quiet town, signaling a new day filled with opportunities for fresh beginnings. The morning light streamed through the windows, casting a gentle glow on the rooms and faces of the students returning to school after the break.

The air was filled with a mix of excitement and nerves as students reunited with friends and prepared for the day ahead. L

aughter and chatter echoed through the halls as everyone caught up on the time they had missed. The vacation was officially over!

Olive and Lucas arrived at school in Lucas’s car and parked in the lot before getting out.

"You two look like a couple, to be honest," Aiden remarked, dressed in a white shirt and shorts.

"Can I mention that about you and Mark? You both drive to school together, right? And what are you wearing? Aren’t you starting school today?" Lucas inquired, looking at Aiden next to Mark’s black Honda SUV.

"Isn’t this how we usually dress? Who has time to put on a school uniform all the time?" Aiden responded with a frown.

Just then, a car pulled up next to them, and Austin rolled down the window.

"Hey guys!" He greeted with a big smile, stepping out of the car in a white shirt and blue jeans, his black hair dyed a wine color.

"What’s up? You’re not in your school uniform either." Lucas observed, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I won’t be going to Belmont anymore." Austin disclosed, shocking Olive, Lucas, Mark, and Aiden.

"What’s the matter?" Lucas inquired, looking concerned.

" I just can’t handle it. Being at this school, living in this country. I just need to get away from here and everything in it." Austin explained with a heavy sigh.

"Even us?" Olive asked, her expression sad.

" No, of course not! You guys will always be my friends. Samuel murder case was solved because of all of you." Austin reassured. " Leaving the country doesn’t mean I’ll stop talking to you guys. I just need a break. This school and this country keep reminding me of memories with Samuel."

"I get you, Austin. Lucas said with a smile and hugged Austin, while the others followed suit, except for Olive who gave a side hug to avoid revealing her gender.

"Okay! Take care, everyone. See you later. " Austin said as he got into the car.

The five teenagers watched sadly as the car drove out of the school compound and onto the empty street.
