Disguised As A Boy To Attend Belmont High School -
Chapter 36: Truth Revealed
Chapter 36: Truth Revealed
The teenagers felt trapped, like mice in a cage. Unsure if Mr. Robert had overheard their conversation, they fell silent, nervously glancing at him and swallowing hard.
"I noticed the light in your room was still on, so I came to turn it off. Luckily, your door was unlocked. I didn’t expect to find all five of you still awake. What’s the plan with the police station?" Mr. Robert inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"We wanted to inquire about Samuel’s case," Olive spoke up first, her eyes fixed on Mr. Robert, who seemed skeptical but wore a suspicious expression.
"Discussing this in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?" Mr. Robert questioned, his eyebrows furrowed in curiosity.
"And why is that any of your business? I can talk to my friends whenever I want, right? Austin asked, his voice filled with anger. "Now that you’ve discovered that I intentionally left the light on in my room, please leave."
" We were playing a game when Samuel’s name came up again. You know Austin is still deeply affected by his death, they were childhood friends and boyfriends. We’re only playing games with him because he can’t sleep." Mark added, his tone contrasting with Austin’s anger.
"I understand. Take care, kids." Mr. Robert said with a forced smile before leaving the room.
"Phew, that was a close call. Thank goodness I already hid the flashlights and we changed into our nightclothes. We won’t be able to escape now." Olive whispered, as the others nodded in agreement.
"I didn’t ask him why he was dressed in a suit at this hour on purpose. He might just say he felt like it meanwhile he’s just coming from seeing his mistress." Lara added with a disdainful eye roll.
"I think you should share the video with everyone’s phone, Austin," Mark said with a heavy sigh.
"Why?" Austin raised an eyebrow.
"It’s better to have multiple copies of the evidence. I’ll also send it to Lucas, and he can transfer it to his laptop," Mark explained, with the others nodding in agreement.
"Why doesn’t anyone have the police officer’s phone number?" Olive questioned. "It would be more efficient to send it directly to her phone."
"Only the parents have the officer’s number, and going to meet my parents to discuss something important with them and Mr. and Mrs. Robert around is a bad idea. Mr. Robert would ensure we never get the evidence to the police station, so we should head there directly," Austin replied with a heavy sigh, as the others nodded in agreement.
Austin quickly sent the video to the group, and they decided to call it a night and head to bed, eager for the next day to arrive so they could go to the police station.

The next morning, the world was bathed in a warm glow as the sun rose, casting golden rays over the landscape. Dew-covered grass sparkled, and leaves rustled in the gentle breeze.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the melodious chirping of birds. A peaceful mist rose from the ground, creating a mystical atmosphere. The world was vibrant and full of promise.
The teenagers had already bathed and left the mansion before their parents woke up. They arrived at the police station and headed straight to Officer Blackwood’s office.
"How are you all doing, kids? We didn’t call for you, but do you have anything to share that could help with the case?" Mrs. Blackwood inquired, her attention focused on the teenagers seated in front of her.
"You’re correct, Officer Blackwood," Olive affirmed, causing Mrs. Blackwood’s eyebrows to raise in curiosity.
Austin then took out his phone and displayed the video, causing Mrs. Blackwood’s eyebrows to widen in shock.
After watching the video, even though the individuals in it were not identifiable, Mr. Robert’s voice was clear. Since the teenagers claimed the other person was Miss Aimee, Mrs. Blackwood immediately made a call to have them both arrested and brought in for questioning.
Thirty minutes later, Miss Aimee and Mr. Robert arrived at the station in handcuffs. The presence of numerous reporters at the police station was due to Mr. Robert’s influential status.
Mr. and Mrs. Adam and Mrs. Robert appeared, looking concerned as they watched Miss Aimee and Mr. Robert being escorted into an inner room.
"What’s happening, Austin? Why are they arresting my husband?" Mrs. Robert asked tearfully as she approached Austin.
"We would soon uncover the truth. Let the police officers carry out their investigation," Austin replied with a serious tone, leaving his parents, including Mrs. Robert, speechless.

In the interrogation room, Miss Aimee sat across from Officer Blackwood and Officer Johnson.
"What is your connection to Mr. Robert" Officer Johnson began the questioning with a serious look.
"What do you mean? He’s Samuel’s father," Miss Aimee replied straightforwardly.
"Do you only know him as a parent and nothing more?" Officer Blackwood asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Yes...,"
"What can you tell us about this video?" Officer Blackwood asked, showing Miss Aimee the footage from the previous night, sending shivers down her spine.
"Where did you get that video?" Miss Aimee asked, trembling with fear. "Who recorded it?"
"I’m glad you didn’t deny being in the video. Now, tell me, why did you harm Samuel? There must be a reason, and I want to know," Officer Blackwood said firmly, staring at Miss Aimee, who felt trapped and frightened.
"I didn’t kill anyone," Miss Aimee denied promting a smirk to spread across Officer Blackwood face.
"I’ll advice you to spill the truth while we’re still bring nice hence we’ll resolve to torturing you till you eventually confess." Officer Johnson said his voice laced with seriousness.
Officer Blackwood and Officer Johnson serious and hard glare send fear down the spine of Miss Aimee.
"There is no justification, I just killed him," Miss Aimee replied, her voice trembling as tears streamed down her cheeks. She knew there was no point in denying the truth.
"Those tears won’t save you. You can’t tell me you killed the poor kid for no reason," Officer Johnson said with a smirk. "If you tell the truth, your time in jail might be reduced."
"I’m a woman, just like you. I know there must be a reason you did it. Did Mr. Robert order you to do it? We have evidence from the teenagers, but we also have another piece of evidence," Officer Blackwood said, also with a smirk.
"Did you know that Samuel was not Mr. and Mrs. Robert’s biological son? They adopted him," Officer Johnson revealed, causing Miss Aimee to raise an eyebrow.
Officer Blackwood cleared her throat and continued, "Did you think you could make Mr. Robert love you by carrying a child that isn’t his?"
Seeing the shock on Miss Aimee’s face, Officer Blackwood pressed on, "
Mr. Robert cannot father a child due to a genetic disorder known as klinefelter syndrome. So, whose child are you carrying? Why did you kill Samuel?"
Miss Aimee continued to cry, realizing there was nothing she could say to escape the consequences of her actions. She never knew that Robert was aware the child she was carrying was not his, which explained his rejection of both her and the baby, even after the death of his biological son.
"I suggest you start telling the truth now." Officer Johnson’s voice interrupted Miss Aimee’s thoughts abruptly.
It was all over! There’s no point in concealing anything. Besides, she knew she would be going to jail for taking a life, but she found it amusing to have someone join her, and that someone was Mr. Robert.
"The baby is Samuel’s!" She revealed.
