Disguised As A Boy To Attend Belmont High School
Chapter 165: Take Her Away Please.

Chapter 165: Take Her Away Please.

"What did I do?" Peace shouted, struggling to break free from the officers’ firm grip. Panic flashed in her eyes as she tried to wrestle out of their hold, desperation etched across her face.

"I’d advise you to remain silent. Anything you say here can and will be used against you in the court of law," one of the officers warned, his tone cold and firm.

"What did Peace do?" Anabella cried as she got up from the floor and rushed forward, throwing her arms out protectively as the blocks the officers path, her expression fierce. "You can’t just take a student from Belmont like this!" Her gaze snapped to Clara, confusion twisting her features. "What’s going on here? What’s the meaning of this?"

Clara’s face hardened with irritation. "You’d better let the officers do their job. Or do you want to get arrested too?" she spat, her voice dripping with contempt. "The girl you call... She and Henry murdered Louise. They’re both criminals."

A collective gasp rose from the crowd of students gathered around them, eyes wide in disbelief. Anabella and Jessica turned to stare at Peace, each hoping she’d deny it, hoping Clara was lying.

"Peace would never kill anyone! And Henry, he’s too dumb to even think talkless of doing such a thing," Anabella shouted, shaking her head as though trying to clear away the accusation. "I don’t believe this nonsense!"

Clara let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head in disgust. "Believe it or not, it’s the truth."

Anabella’s face crumpled, and fresh tears streamed down her cheeks. "I don’t believe you! You’re all lying!" she yelled, her voice thick with anguish. She then turned her gaze towards Peace. "They’re lying right?"

Peace could only turn her head away in shame not daring to look at Anabella in the eye but still Anabella refuses to believe the accusations against her.

"All this is a misunderstanding." Anabella uttered, her voice now low, as tears continued to roll down her cheeks.

Olive crossed her arms, stepping forward with a scoff. "Henry killed Louise because of Rachel. He loved her, and he was furious when Louise posted those videos."

"And it was Peace who manipulated him," Lara added sharply, folding her arms over her chest. "She knew Henry was in love with Rachel, knew he’d do anything for her. So she used him to do her dirty work and kill Louise. We figured it out because of that letter Peace wrote. She was meant to hand it to Henry directly, but maybe something important came up hence she ended up snapping a photo and sending it instead."

Peace’s world crumbled around her as Lara’s words pierced through her. She stood there, frozen, unable to deny any of it.

"We confirmed it after a thorough investigation," Clara continued with a cruel smile. "The handwriting matched Peace’s perfectly." She then turned to the officers. "Take her away, please."

The officers tightened their grip on Peace, who was still struggling, to break free. They dragged her from the classroom as the crowd of students watched, stunned into silence. Some followed the procession out of the building, watching as Peace was roughly shoved into the police van. Inside, she caught sight of Henry, already seated, his hands cuffed and his face hollow with resignation.

The van pulled away, disappearing down the road as the students of Belmont stared after it, murmuring amongst themselves.

Aiden exchanged glances with Mark and Lucas. Although Henry and Peace killed Louise but if he hasn’t released the girls sex videos then maybe Louise would still be alive.

Unable to bear the scene any longer, Aiden turned away, pushing through the students and making his way back into the school, Lucas and Mark trailing behind him. Once inside, he headed straight for the 3RM special room, his mind whirling.

Just as he was about to close the door, Lucas stuck out his foot, blocking it. He and Mark slipped in before Aiden could shut them out, closing the door behind them.

Aiden sank into a chair, burying his face in his hands. "Louise died because of that video I posted. If I hadn’t released it, maybe... maybe he’d still be alive. I feel like I killed him."

"Don’t say that, Aiden," Lucas replied gently, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You didn’t kill anyone. Peace, Rachel, and Anabella were all bent on destroying him from the onset. This isn’t your fault."

"Lucas is right," Mark chimed in, patting Aiden’s other shoulder. "Focus on getting better. Don’t get caught up in all this. None of this was your doing."

"But...

Before Aiden could form a sentence, Lucas and Mark wrapped their hands around him, giving him a hug.

The three friends fell into a heavy silence, each lost in their own thoughts.

The next day dawned at Belmont, the early sun casting a golden glow over the campus. Despite the beautiful morning, an air of unease lingered among the students, yesterday’s events still fresh in everyone’s minds.

In the scholarship students’ cafeteria, Olive, Lucas, Mark, Aiden, and Lara sat together, quietly picking at their breakfast. The mood was somber, a stark contrast to the usual lively chatter.

"Did you finish reading the textbook?" Lara asked, glancing over at Olive, who shook her head, looking exhausted.

"No, I was too tired. I fell asleep halfway through," Olive admitted, stifling a yawn. "But I’ll try to finish it tonight."

Lara raised an eyebrow. "We only have two weeks left. You’d better hurry."

Olive sighed and nodded, her shoulders slumping. "I know. I’ll get it done."

Just then, Jessica and Anabella approached, both looking worn. Anabella’s eyes were swollen and red, clearly from hours of crying, while Jessica looked exhausted yet defiant. They both settled down before the group while Jessica pulled a cigarette from her pocket, preparing to light it, but Lucas snatched it out of her hand.

"Are you out of your mind?" he hissed, his eyes wide. "This is the school cafeteria. You’ll get punished!"

Jessica let out a long sigh, running a hand through her hair. "I just... I need something to clear my head. I knew Henry was troubled, but I never thought he’d actually be involved in Louise’s death. I don’t understand what he was thinking. Now his life’s over and Peace’s, too."

Hearing this, Anabella’s face crumpled, and she began to cry again. "And Rachel... Rachel’s not coming back to Belmont. I’m all alone now."

Olive’s brow furrowed. "She’s not coming back? Why?"

Anabella wiped her tears and shook her head. "Everything that’s happened... it’s too much for her. Her family abandoned her, and now she can’t afford the school fees. She’s... she’s going to have a baby too. She decided to leave and start working."

"That’s terrible," Lucas said, looking deeply troubled. "What’s she going to do? She shouldn’t be left alone, especially in her condition."

Anabella’s face twisted with sorrow. "I would help her, but my father’s furious with me. He’s blocked my account so I can’t withdraw any money, and he’s tracking everything on my phone. I wanted to pay her school fees, Cater for her... but now I’m helpless."

A quiet voice broke through the group’s conversation. "What if she was granted a scholarship?"

The students turned in unison, looking toward the source of the voice, each one recognizing it immediately.
