Disguised As A Boy To Attend Belmont High School
Chapter 126: Speak Of The Devil..

Chapter 126: Speak Of The Devil..

Henry soon walked into the classroom, his face downcast as he replayed the conversation between Rachel and Jessica in his mind.

"Drugs? Baby? She’s pregnant?" he murmured under his breath, the weight of his thoughts pressing heavily on him.

"Hey! When did you start missing class? I hope you realize exams are just around the corner," Lara said, her voice sharp with concern as her eyes landed on Henry. "Where is everyone, though? Jessica, Rachel, Aiden... Where the hell are they?"

Instead of responding, Henry made his way to his seat, slumped down, and buried his head in his arms, his shoulders shaking with barely concealed sobs. He didn’t want his friends to know the depth of his despair.

"What’s wrong with him?" Lara asked, turning to Mark, who simply shook his head, equally clueless. "He just ignored me, like... seriously?"

"Just leave him be. He’s probably going through something tough," Mark suggested, his voice gentle and understanding.

"Anyways, are you going to stand there fuming all day? Lucas is gone," Lara said, shifting her gaze to Olive, whose silence and tense posture had gone unnoticed until now. Instead of replying, Olive stormed out of the classroom without a word.

"What the heck is wrong with everyone today?" Lara exclaimed, her eyes wide in frustration. "I’ve been ignored twice! Twice! Like, seriously?" Her hands clenched into fists as she looked back at Mark, her anger flaring.

"It’s okay, babe. Just leave them alone to deal with their stuff," Mark soothed, placing his hand on hers in an attempt to calm her down, a warm smile on his lips.

Meanwhile, Olive made her way to the boys’ bathroom, her mind racing. But the moment she stepped inside, a strong arm grabbed her and slammed her back against the wall. Her breath caught in her throat as she looked up, it was Lucas, his face contorted with fury.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Olive spat, her voice trembling with both anger and shock. "How did you even know I’d come here?"

"I just knew," Lucas growled, his eyes locked on hers as he panted heavily. "I was waiting for you."

"And for what?" Olive snapped, her heartbeat quickening. "What could you possibly want?"

"Why were you staring at Louise like that in class? Your eyes kept wandering to him the entire time. Are you crushing on him or something?" Lucas demanded, his voice low, laced with accusation.

"Huh? You cornered me in the bathroom to ask me this?!" Olive raised an eyebrow, her anger rising to a boil. "You seriously think you can control me? You don’t get to make decisions for me! Let’s go back to minding each other’s business like we did after we got back from your family vacation. Stop being a thorn in my side, it’s irritating."

Lucas’s jaw tightened. "So I was right, wasn’t I? You’re into him. Or is it that seeing me with Anabella all this time has finally gotten to you? Now you’re trying to get back at me by drooling over Louise? Is that it?" His voice dropped into a taunting whisper, his gaze sharp as he waited for her to crack.

Olive’s eyes narrowed. "Why should I care about you and Anabella? You need to get over yourself and mind your own damn business. You don’t need to involve yourself in my life, and you sure as hell don’t have any say in it." Her words were fierce, but her eyes betrayed a flicker of emotion that Lucas didn’t miss.

He smirked, his eyes glinting with satisfaction. "You’re lying. You’re a terrible liar, Olive. You’re hurt, and it’s obvious. You’re pushing me away because you’re mad. And now you’re trying to hurt me by using Louis, just like I used Anabella."

Olive glared at him. "Stop deluding yourself, Lucas. You think the entire world revolves around you, don’t you? Not everyone is going to fall at your feet. Even Jesus wasn’t loved by everyone. What makes you think you’re any different? I don’t like you, and I never will."

Lucas’s smirk faded slightly, but he remained undeterred. "You can keep lying to yourself all you want. But I’m going to start chasing what I want now. And what I want is you, Olive. No one is going to take what’s mine."

Her heart raced as she swallowed hard, trying to keep her composure. "I am not something you can own, Lucas. I’m a person, not a commodity," she shot back, her voice filled with disgust. "This is exactly why I can never like you, you’re too full of yourself."

"Oh, really?" Lucas challenged, stepping closer. "But you’re fine with Louise, right? He’s not full of himself in your eyes, but I am? If seeing me with Anabella didn’t bother you, why didn’t you fight me on it? Why didn’t you confront me?"

Olive’s mouth opened, but no words came out.

"Yeah, that’s right. You’re not like me. You lie to yourself. You’re not bold enough to admit how you truly feel," Lucas said with a sneer. "I’m going to make you fall for me, Olive. Just like I’ve fallen for you. I’m going to hold your hand, take you on dates, and..."

Before he could finish, the bathroom door swung open, interrupting their tense moment. Olive and Lucas instinctively moved apart as Louis walked in.

"Speak of the devil," Lucas muttered under his breath, his arms crossing over his chest as he shot Louis a look of disdain.

"Hey, Arthur, Lucas," Louis greeted, flashing his charming dimpled smile. "Hope I’m not interrupting anything?"

"No, you’re not," Olive responded quickly, her voice overly bright as she smiled back at Louis, which only seemed to irritate Lucas further. "I was just about to come find you."

"About to find him?" Lucas scoffed under his breath, rolling his eyes in annoyance.

"Thanks. I’m ready when you are," Louise said, heading into one of the stalls and returning moments later. "I’ll meet you in the garden, Arthur. And Lucas, we should catch up sometime. We’re close, after all. Just because you broke up with Anabella doesn’t mean we should be strangers."

With that, Louise left the bathroom, leaving Olive and Lucas alone once again.

Olive’s heart was pounding in her chest, not from excitement, but from the weight of Lucas’s words. She could barely believe what he had said moments ago.

"You’ve made up your mind, haven’t you?" Lucas spat, his voice dripping with venom. "You’re just going to ignore everything I said and run after him."

Olive turned to face him, her expression calm but her heart racing. "I’m not running after anyone, Lucas. I agreed to help him, that’s all.."

Before she could finish, Lucas grabbed her and kissed her roughly, his lips crushing hers with desperation. Olive’s eyes widened in shock as she struggled against him, her hands pushing against his chest. But Lucas didn’t let go. His hands roamed, groping her as she fought to break free.

When he finally pulled away, Olive’s palm connected with his face in a resounding slap.

"How dare you!" she screamed, tears welling in her eyes as she wrapped her arms protectively around her chest. "Is this how you think you’ll win me over? By forcing yourself on me? By not even thinking about what I want?"

"No, Olive, I.." Lucas stammered, his voice shaky, his eyes wide with regret. "I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me."

"Seriously?" Olive’s voice broke, her chest heaving with emotion. "Just stay away from me, Lucas. Stay. Away."

Lucas stood there, his face pale, his eyes filled with guilt. But before he could say anything more, Olive turned on her heel and stormed out of the bathroom, leaving him alone to wallow in his regret.
