Chapter 361 Secret
Chapter 361: Chapter 361 Secret
"Huh? Does he live here?" Ava asked, furrowing her brows and resting her chin on the edge of the window, trying to get a better view.
"Maybe?" Nova replied, though he didn’t sound convinced.
Lilith stayed quiet. Her eyes didn’t leave the entrance. There was something about Quinn’s body language, he was too cautious, too alert. This wasn’t someone returning home. It was someone hiding something.
"I say... we wait," Ava whispered, sitting up straighter in her seat.
"Agreed," Nova nodded. "Let’s give it ten minutes. If he doesn’t come back out..."
"...We go in," Lilith finished, her voice calm but firm.
The car fell silent. Only the soft hum of the engine and distant sound of wind outside filled the air as the three of them stared ahead.
Ten minutes passed. The street remained still.
Just when Ava was about to yawn and say something silly, the building gate creaked open and Assistant Quinn stepped out again.
All three of them instantly sat up straighter.
"There he is..." Lilith said under her breath, eyes narrowed.
"Oh my god," Ava whispered, her voice laced with disbelief.
The three of them watched in stunned silence as a woman walked beside Quinn. She was young, soft-looking, with shoulder-length hair and a nervous smile. Quinn glanced around again—cautious as ever before gently placing a hand on the woman’s back.
Then, shockingly, he kissed her cheek.
Ava’s jaw dropped.
Nova blinked twice. "Wait... what??"
He even opened the car door like a perfect gentleman, letting the girl sit in the passenger seat before walking around to his side.
"I... I don’t think we should follow him anymore," Nova mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "Looks like Assistant Quinn is just... having a secret date."
Ava leaned back in her seat with wide eyes. "That was... unexpected."
Lilith didn’t say a word. Her eyes were still fixed on the car, her lips pressed into a thin line.
"Still..." Ava said slowly, turning to Lilith. "Why would he lie so much about boss’s whereabouts? This feels weird."
Lilith’s gaze didn’t soften. "He might be lying about more than one thing."
And just as Quinn’s car started to move again, Lilith turned the ignition and followed, but this time—more carefully.
She wasn’t done yet.
Something about this... felt off.
And Lilith hated coincidences.

"Goodness..." Quinn muttered under his breath, biting his lower lip nervously as he glanced in the rearview mirror.
Miss Lilith was way too smart.
Thank God the secret guard had warned him that she was following from behind.
His hands tightened slightly on the steering wheel. He had to stay calm.
Faye, sitting beside him, looked at his face. She noticed how tense he was—his brows furrowed and his jaw locked.
She gently placed her hand on his thigh and leaned in. "Please don’t worry... It’ll be okay."
Quinn glanced at her and gave a small smile. But his heart was still beating fast.
"I still have to go check boss’s condition," he whispered. "And I need to get those files sent to Atlas by tonight."
"Hmm..." Faye tapped her chin and suddenly got an idea. "What if... we stop by the market area? Lots of traffic. Or maybe even the public park? If they think we’re just on a cute date, maybe they’ll stop following."
Quinn turned to her, eyes lighting up. "Baby, you’re a genius!" he said softly.
Then he leaned in and whispered, "Give me a kiss."
Faye giggled and kissed his cheek quickly.
Both of them blushed.
"Let’s show them a proper couple date, hm?" she said, adjusting her little hairclip.
"Yeah..." Quinn smiled, turning the car gently towards the main road. "Let’s keep this up. But after that, I still need to go... no matter what."
Faye nodded. "I’ll stay with you."
And with that, the couple turned left at the junction, heading straight into the market lights, ready to fool the ones tailing behind.
From behind them, Lilith’s car turned slowly into the same lane, its headlights dimmed slightly to avoid suspicion.
"He’s heading toward the market area..." Ava muttered, staring at the back of Quinn’s car.
After following for half hour...
"We should stop following them," Nova finally said, his voice low but honest as he slumped in his seat. "It’s just a date... I really don’t think he’s doing anything shady tonight."
Lilith didn’t reply right away. Her fingers gently tapped the steering wheel as she watched Quinn and Faye disappear into the park.
After a few moments, she gave a small nod. "Alright. Let’s not waste any more time."
Ava sighed in relief, leaning back in her seat. "So... what should we do now?" she asked, glancing at Lilith’s side profile.
Lilith shifted the gear and smoothly took a U-turn. "Let’s head back home," she said quietly, her tone unreadable.
The car rolled through the city lights, soft music playing faintly from the radio. No one said much during the ride, each of them had their own thoughts running inside. Ava rested her head against the window, blinking slowly. Nova stared at the dashboard screen, lost in silence.
Lilith stayed focused on the road, her face calm but her eyes heavy with thought.
Once they reached Ava’s place, Ava hugged Lilith tightly before stepping out. "Text me if you find anything," she whispered with a smile.
Nova nodded too. "I’ll get my car from the company tomorrow... Goodnight, Lilith."
"Night," she replied softly, watching both of them enter their gates safely before driving off again.
Now alone, she finally let out a long breath.
The city felt colder at night.
Lilith turned the steering wheel and drove through the quieter lanes, her thoughts drifting to everything she had seen today.
Something about Quinn’s performance bothered her deeply. Maybe he really was in love. Maybe he really was just hiding his girlfriend.
But... something in her heart refused to believe that was all.
She pulled into the familiar driveway of Rose Manor and stopped the car.
She parked her car a little distance away from Rose Manor and turned off the engine.
She sat there quietly, hands resting on the steering wheel, her heart feeling strangely heavy.
The sky was dark now, the moon hiding behind soft clouds. Streetlights flickered gently, casting long shadows on the ground.
She should’ve gone inside. She was tired. Her feet ached in heels, her mind even more. But something about tonight made her feel... uncomfortable.
