Death… And Me -
Chapter 3558: Charge!
Chapter 3558: Charge!
’But would leaving this place be a good idea? Is it possible to leave and come back?’ Kentucky asked. ’At the moment, we only know the first step to reach the Celestial Realm, nothing else.’
Back then, when the twins’ group reached the Divinity Realm, they experienced a tribulation. With that, they managed to absorb the Celestial Laws. Light and Dark for Rean, Roan, and Kentucky. Wood and Absorption for Celis. (Chapter 2853)
According to Sister Orb, they would need to merge their laws with their absorbed Celestial Laws. Once that was done, they would comprehend the Celestial Laws. That was the first step. So, when the twins thought about Triaglia and the others who reached the Celestial Realm in this Golden Palace, they got the same idea.
From the start, they felt the Celestial Laws in the portrait, and they could also feel them around this place, even if they couldn’t touch or comprehend them because of their low cultivation.
In fact, the only reason the Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and Celis could feel those Celestial Laws around was because they still had their own absorbed Celestial Laws. Otherwise, they would be oblivious to it.
They just knew it was there since they absorbed some. Even to this day, they could still feel those Celestial Laws in their Souls that they absorbed during that time back in Lisan Universe.
Anyway, the first step was for them to merge the Celestial Laws they absorbed with their normal laws after reaching the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm. Since that was the case, perhaps this Golden Palace had a way to give the necessary Celestial Laws for the experts who find it. No one said that the tribulation was the only way to acquire the Celestial Laws, after all. In fact, chances are there are various other methods that most are simply not aware of.
But then again, that was ONLY the first step, merge one’s normal laws with the absorbed Celestial Laws of the same type. For that, the twins’ group didn’t need the Golden Palace, they had their own. However, what were the next steps? They didn’t know, including Sister Orb.
Let’s not forget. Triaglia and the other Universe Owners reached the Celestial Realm in the Golden Palace. That obviously meant that not only could you somehow acquire the necessary Celestial Laws for absorption, but it also provided the next steps to achieve the breakthrough.
’So, there are two problems,’ Kentucky continued. ’First, what if we leave and then we can’t come back? We might lose the chance to learn about the next steps, if there are any. We are still in the dark here.’
’Second, what if the amount of exploration we did isn’t enough, and, once again, we can’t come back? Not only would we have lost the chance to learn about the steps for the Celestial Realm Breakthrough, but we would also lose the Celestial Points of the System’s Quest.’
Everyone heard Kentucky’s words and couldn’t come up with a reason to refute him.
’The overgrown chicken is right, let’s continue and see what we can find,’ Roan said, giving up the idea of going back. But it wasn’t just because of Kentucky’s reason. Above all, it was the environment. ’Besides, we barely have to care about any of the experts in this place now that cultivation is suppressed while laws can be used.’
’Right!’ And so, they continued.
Elsie saw everyone running again, feeling left out. "Have you decided something?"
"We were just wondering what to do next," Rean answered with a smile.
"That was obvious! But what have you decided?" Elsie asked again.
"Keep running! Hahaha!" Kentucky laughed as he answered.
"Fine, don’t answer then! Hmph!" Elsie didn’t believe them... even though they didn’t lie. They were indeed just running and hopping to find something. Well, they could have told her that they considered turning back and leaving, but there wasn’t much of a point in doing so.
"Hum? Hey, what’s that light?" Kentucky suddenly asked, his vision capable of seeing further than most.
Yet, before anyone could answer...
*Zim!*
*BOOM!*
An enormous explosion occurred far in the distance, and just the powerful aftershock was enough to force the twins to hold their ground. Gravity in this place is many times higher, so for it to force the group to hold on, it had to be something incredibly powerful.
"I guess the light you saw was the light of the explosion..." Rean shrugged, getting up and using his Divine Energy to shake the dust.
"Oh, thank you for your answer, Captain Obvious." Kentucky didn’t need that answer after what happened, though.
"Should we go take a look?" Rifindio was more interested in the reason for that to happen.
"Perhaps there are just some Divinity Realm experts fighting over some treasure," Elsie commented.
"Not possible," Roan denied that notion, though. "With our cultivation suppressed to the Transition Realm, no expert in this palace has anywhere near the necessary firepower to cause something like that. Even if a bunch of them join forces, it will still not be enough."
In the end, they kept running in that direction, curious to see the reason behind it. Of course, they weren’t the only ones. The explosion was so big that anyone could see it from several hundred kilometers away. And it wasn’t just a normal explosion, but an explosion fueled by Divine Energy. So, its shockwave went far and wide many times faster than an explosion caused by common means.
Soon, the twins’ group noticed a few other groups running not far from them. Using the Light and Divine Sense Bending Skill here was meaningless. Since the Divine Senses of Peak Stage Divinity Realm experts couldn’t go much further than five kilometers or so, it was many times better to rely on one’s Natural Spatial Perception. Rean’s skills couldn’t hide from those.
"Stop!" Suddenly, Rean and Roan called out, and their group came to a halt. It wasn’t because of the experts around, though.
They weren’t the only ones. The other groups also seemed to have noticed something. Then...
"Shit, run!"
*Roar!*
Out of nowhere, thousands of beasts, seemingly made out of energy, came running in their direction. Just their speed alone could match any Elemental Space Realm expert, which told a lot about their strength. Even access to the laws wouldn’t be enough to win against such a huge difference in power.
Elsie was taken aback and immediately turned around to run as well. However...
"Charge!" Rean shouted, and everyone in their group rushed at the beasts!
Poor Elsie felt like she was seeing something ridiculous. Who the hell would charge at that mob of energy beasts? "That’s suicide!"
Roan snorted. "You are free to flee."
Ignoring her, they accelerated. No one understood what they were thinking.
