Death… And Me -
Chapter 3554: It’s Time
Chapter 3554: It’s Time
"Oh... then that’s good," the Divinity Realm guy wasn’t expecting such a fast answer. But then it dawned on him. The twins’ group obviously noticed how dangerous their situation was to appear here like this and with such low cultivation. Thus, even if he was forcing the twins’ group, it was much better than if some other groups tried to kill them right out of the bath. "You will move ahead of my group, testing the terrain for traps and such. If, by some miracle, you survive, perhaps I won’t mind giving you some crumbs at the end."
"Sir is extremely generous," Rean nodded, his expression showing ’huge appreciation’ for not being killed instead. "We will do our best not to let you down. How should we address you, sir?"
The Divinity Realm guy was quite pleased with Rean’s words. "Good, I like smart guys. I’m Derravan, and these here are Clicli, Ambev, and Ritey." He only told the names of the other three Divinity Realm experts. As for the Space-Time Realm ones, they seemed to be wearing the same clothes as Derravan, so he didn’t bother telling their names as they were his personal subordinates.
"Senior Derravan, it is our luck to have you taking us with your group, even if we are just acting as trailblazers. We thought we would be killed instantly because of our poor cultivation. We truly shouldn’t have come here," Rean spoke, ’feeling’ distressed with the situation they found themselves in.
Even poor Elsie couldn’t help but believe Rean’s words. He really looked extremely convincing to the point that she had to contact him. ’Are you this desperate?’
’Hahaha!’ Rean laughed in her mind, but it did not show on his face. ’They are offering themselves to act as our shields until we get inside the palace, so why should we refuse them? Don’t worry, we are just trying not to get more attention than we should.’
As that happened, Rifindio couldn’t help but look in the Camazotz Bats’ direction. Those were his elders in the past, after all. He made sure to use his mutated bloodline, hiding the fact that he was a Camazotz Bat, so as not to get their attention. As a Camazotz Bat, he shouldn’t have been here to start with. ’They truly came with quite a big entourage,’ Rifindio commented with his group, a little nervous.
Kentucky and the others looked at the Camazotz Bats while Rean spent his time ’licking’ Derravan’s boots.
’Wow! There are over five hundred of them there, half of them all in the Divinity Realm,’ Kentucky commented. ’That’s at least fifty portraits.’
Roan agreed with him. ’They sure are showing why they are the controlling power of Universe F956. However, they aren’t any better than the controlling powers of the other universes.’
Looking in other directions, they saw that each Universe Color had a similar group inside, while the rest only operated in small groups of ten to thirty at most. The Dread Ship Sect was obviously one of such big groups that controlled their Universe.
Rifindio continued to look at the Camazotz Bats. The elder Zick from before was someone famous in the Supreme Palace, one of the top elders and capable of contacting Triaglia if a need for it appeared. Few had such privilege there. It made sense that he became the spokesperson of their Universe.
Then, his eyes opened wide as he recognized another Camazotz Bat in that group. ’Rafa!’
His group noticed his change of emotions. Looking in the same direction, they noticed the female Camazotz Bat called Rafa, a bat in the Space-Time Realm Middle Stage. ’You know her? Well, of course you do, you came from the same Supreme Palace.’
Rifindio sighed, shaking his head. As mentioned in the past, pretty much all Camazotz Bats of the Supreme Palace that he had contact with treated him with disdain due to his low bloodline concentration. But he also mentioned that it wasn’t like every single one of them was like that.
’Some of the other Camazotz Bats with low bloodline concentration at least understood how I felt. It’s just that even among them, I was at the rock bottom. Still, within the elders responsible for the younger generation like ours, there was one or another who didn’t treat us too bad. That over there is Elder Rafa, one of such elders. She was very strict, but she didn’t judge by bloodline, only effort, so I quite liked her.’
No one was surprised. There were always exceptions, even in such a competitive environment as the Supreme Palace. It would be ridiculous to say that within the countless Camazotz Bats of the Supreme Palace, every single one of them hated or disdained Rifindio for his lack of bloodline concentration.
’Just don’t go around revealing your identity,’ Roan warned him, leaving the story to rest.
Rifindio nodded. He, at least, was happy to see some of the very few bats he respected from the Supreme Palace. He didn’t say everything, though. His interactions with Rafa went a little further than just that. But then, he sighed and shook his head. The past was the past, and the him of now didn’t have what it takes to reveal his real identity yet. He turned his head away, paying attention to the various other groups around and trying to remember them for later.
However, Ridindio didn’t notice, but a moment after he turned his head away, Rafa’s eyes glanced in his direction. With Roan’s pills and Rifindio’s mutated bloodline, Rifindio definitely didn’t look the least bit like he did in the past. Still, a tiny smile appeared on her face, just for it to disappear a second later as she turned her attention back to her own group.
Within the discussions going on between the top powers of each Universe, only one agreement had been reached. Using seven different names made no sense, so they all agreed to simply call it the Golden Palace during this excursion. It might be useful in the future if they need to join forces. Other than that, they all decided not to decide anything. In the end, the law of the strongest would be the only rule.
*Ding... dong.... ding.......*
*.......*
Suddenly, the bell stopped, and the area became silent. No one knew what to expect inside the Celestial Supreme Palace.
*Clang... dlang, dlang, dlang, dlang...*
A sound that reminded one of chains going through a gear echoed, and the massive Golden Gate began to open. No one rushed inside, nor did they try to squeeze through, as the Golden Gate was definitely several thousand kilometers wide. Even a tiny opening was more than enough for all of them to pass through, and there would still be a big gap between each other.
Derravan saw that, ordering everyone, especially the twins’ group. "It’s time. Let’s go."
