Death… And Me -
Chapter 3527: Tell Me Everything
Chapter 3527: Tell Me Everything
"Could it be they stayed here all this time, hoping we haven’t really left?" Rean wondered.
"Would that really work?" Kentucky wasn’t as sure, though. "I mean, how many experts from various races passed by this area in the past year?"
Rean had to admit Kentucky was right. Could it be they were taking every single one of them? Well, most of them would be demon beasts, as the nearest city was almost a hundred thousand kilometers away and this was a Demon Beast Territory.
Fortunately, Rean’s Divine Sense Bending Skill was working just fine. As always, its efficiency depended on how far he was from the source of Divine Sense and the strength of the Divine Sense, which goes higher with cultivation. A Divinity Realm Divine Sense was definitely strong enough to break through his skill, especially at Rean’s cultivation level, but only if Rean got too close.
In this specific case, Rean calculated he would need to be around twenty to thirty kilometers close for his bending to fail. At that distance, it would be useless to think about 20 to 30 kilometers since the Divinity Realm guy’s Natural Spatial Perception would catch Rean and Kentucky’s presence way earlier.
Let’s not forget that Divine Senses have a much bigger range than Natural Spatial Perceptions. However, Spatial Perception from a Divinity Realm expert wasn’t so small that he couldn’t detect someone within that range of 20 to 30 kilometers. It was probably around 50 to 60, more or less, depending on the expert’s abilities.
"Alright, just fly around and avoid this guy, or girl, or demon beast, or whatever..." Rean spoke.
Kentucky did as asked and changed direction slightly, flying around the border of the Divine Sense’s range. Yet, to Rean’s surprise, another one appeared. "Divinity Realm Middle Stage..."
Kentucky changed direction again, and more experts began to appear one after another. "Divinity Realm, Initial Stage, Late Stage, Middle Stage, Late Stage. Not to mention many, many Space-Time Realm experts. What is happening here? Are all these guys here for us after over a year?"
Even though there were many experts, regardless of which side Rean and Kentucky flew to, the space between them was still enormous. After all, we are talking about several tens of thousands of kilometers range of search. That was more than enough for Rean to bend all their Divine Senses while also guiding Kentucky to keep a safe enough distance.
Rean and Kentucky took the chance to enter a mountain range, where it would be better to hide if there was a need. Yet, suddenly, all those experts began to move at the same time, and they were all coming after Rean and Kentucky. "What?!"
More and More Divine Senses began to touch Rean’s Divine Sense Bending Skill, as more and more experts approached and entered its range. "How do they know we are here? Sister Orb, any formations?"
[None!] Sister Orb already checked that. [If there was any formation active in this area, I would have known.]
Rean narrowed his eyes. "Kentucky, let’s go down. Find a cave and enter it. I’ll try to build a concealing formation again."
"Uh? There are Divinity Realm experts coming," Kentucky spoke. "At their level, they will be here in a few seconds! Can you build one that fast?"
"Fuck!" Rean knew Kentucky was right. "I didn’t want to use this again, but so be it. Roan, you fine with it, yeah?"
"Just throw them already," Roan agreed.
Following that, Rean took four small flasks with blood inside. The cooldown for the Body Reformation had already ended. They could rebuild their bodies again if necessary as long as at least a drop of blood remained.
Flying close to the ground, Rean let his, Kentucky’s, Celis’s, and Roan’s blood fall in an inconspicuous manner before ordering Kentucky to leave. "Fly at full speed. Leave this place behind."
"On it!" Kentucky’s Light and Dark Elements gathered around his wings, space bent at his will, and his wings flapped.
*Kabum!*
A blast of wind was left behind, and Kentucky flew in the direction of an oppening in the encirclement that was coming for them. During all this time, Rean didn’t turn off his Space and Light Bending Skills, just in case they were still working somehow. It didn’t seem they were, though.
All of this didn’t take more than 15 seconds, and Rean finally felt the first Divine Sense that was about to pierce his Divine Sense Bending. Besides, the guy’s Natural Spatial Perception would definitely catch Rean and Kentucky’s presence first. Sure enough, it came from a Divinity Realm expert as the guy approached quickly. Well, since Rean and Kentucky were being detected somehow, it wasn’t as if it would make a difference right now.
However, just as they were about to be caught... something happened not too far behind Rean and Kentucky. They saw how a ray of yellow light flew in their direction at a speed even higher than their own. Obviously, it was due to the element and skill of the expert inside it that created that show of lights. Whatever it was, it wasn’t using Divine Sense, so Rean and Kentucky, who weren’t using their Divine Senses either, hadn’t noticed until now. ’What the hell is that?!’
Rean’s eyes lit up, and he patted Kentucky on the side. Kentucky made a quick turn, flying in a different direction from that yellow light. Rean nervously guided Kentucky around the various Divine Senses approaching from all sides. Several times, his Divine Sense Bending got close to failing, and the two of them were almost detected due to so many Divine Senses washing over simultaneously. It was even worse with Natural Spatial Senses, as they could detect their presence from further away than that.
Fortunately, one thing became obvious now. The ones being pursued weren’t Rean and Kentucky. Instead, it was the expert inside the yellow light! It’s just that they had been flying in the same direction, and it made Rean and Kentucky think they were the ones being pursued.
*Zush!*
Finally, Kentucky flew out of the encirclement, especially since Rean made sure to fly in a different direction than the yellow light. Kentucky flew high into the skies, avoiding the many experts that were much closer to the ground where the yellow light was also found.
Then, around two hundred or so kilometers away, the two of them finally turned back. Kentucky’s eyes filled with Sky Energy, and his vision penetrated the clouds, watching the events far below. Without using Divine Sense, Kentucky was the only one capable of seeing that far. "Shouldn’t we leave straight away? We were almost caught here."
Rean laughed. "Hahaha! Come on, let’s watch the show. I want to see just what caused us to be almost caught. Tell me everything."
