A surge of karma blew throughout the entire academy, Kakashi’s who shut his eyes at the final moment opened it to discover a lady welding a karma blade had stopped William foot as it was halfway to smashing his head.

"It’s enough. You’re a higher rank demon hunter, act like one" Kyoto said, her voice plain and firm as she struggles with William’s foot. "And... Can you please move your foot?, It’s really heavy..."

Kyoto gruntled. William just hmphed and walked away and do did the others, except Leo - who was crying and Kyoto - who helped Kakashi to his feet.

"You just have to ruin the fun" Kojo smirked and walked away.

"I know you said you were going to visit me again, but I didn’t expect you to come this soon" Nurse Violet laughed as she healed Kakashi again. "Thanks to the bandages that you were wearing, you didn’t bleed much. But how did you get hurt if I may ask?"

"I sorta got into a fight" Kakashi Chuckled.

"If you keep getting injured, I might be forced to ask Miss Elizabeth to suspend you from going on any missions"

"Please, you don’t need to. I’ll just be careful next time" Kakashi jumped up from the bed and walked out after waving at Violet.

As he came out of the nurse’s office, he came in face to face with the lady that saved him.

"I guess I should thank..."

"Thank you!" Kyoto said with a bow. "Thank you for what you did!"

"What!?" Kakashi exclaimed. "That was suppose to my part, i did get beat up after all"

"No, I was talking about my brother"

"Your brother!?" At this point, Kakashi was even more confused.

"Amara Misurugi, the former flame sage. Thank you for saving him!"

Kakashi had a little flashback, he remembered the twelve years old that fell from the upper stage during his fight with Tomura. _So this’s his sister_

"I didn’t save him, I just happened to catch him when he was falling" Kakashi said, his voice was now serious.

"But... They said you rescued him and protected him while fighting a first class demon at the same time" Kyoto replied, her eyes brighten with admiration as she stared into Kakashi’s eyes. Although she was nineteen, Kakashi was still taller than her.

"Maybe I wouldn’t need to protect him if someone as young as him wasn’t appointed to be a sage" Kakashi voice was cold, and Kyoto could feel it.

She took a few steps backwards and looked downwards, her hands shivering.

"I...wanted to b...but I couldn’t, it’s my fault" her voice cracked. "I was too scared to face a demon, and when I was asked to be the sage I was too scared. S...so I pushed it on him.

# KYOTO’S FLASHBACK

"Hurry Kyoto!"

Kyoto was still in highschool, she was dressed in white shirt and a black short skirt. She carried black bag, opened it and arranged her books in it before running after her friends.

"I’m coming! Just wait a little longer!" She yelled and ran after them. She finally caught up to them, but by then she was out of breath.

"It’s just a little walk from class A to class C, how are you already out of breath?" Mion asked as she pulled Kyoto to keep up.

"I’m sorry, you guys were rushing me and we still have a lot to do" Kyoto replied, still trying to keep up with the pace of both of her friends.

"The school festival is till next week so we still have a lot of time" Shino replied. "It’s late, we should get home before the demons starts appearing"

Kyoto froze then continued walking, she quicken up her pace till she was the pace with the two girls. "Do you really have to say that?, We’re not that late, are we?"

"Don’t let Shino get to you, there’s no such thing as demon. It’s all a made up story" Mion laughed.

"Demons are really real, you just haven’t seen one" Shino retorted.

"No they’re not. It just a scam made up by the supernaturals"

"Well incase you don’t know, my neighbor was once attacked by a demon" Shino said.

"But I said him this morning"

"That was because a supernatural save him"

"Then did you see the demon?"

"No, I... That’s not the point"

"Then I was right!, There’s no such thing as demon"

"There really are demons!"

"I said..."

"Stop~!" Kyoto yelled. "Stop talking about demons, I’m really scared"

Both friends looked at each other and felt bad for their friend, and finally ended their argument. As they walked out of the gate and crossed the road, they saw a strange figure standing a few meters away and staring intensely at them.

"Isn’t it too late for girls to be out by this time of the night?"

The girls froze, visibly surprised, It was eight pm and the sky had gotten dark earlier than normal. The street lights suddenly lit up, shining upon the old woman who was holding some bags and standing beside the road, it looked like she was waiting for a bus.

"Oh, I’m sorry. We were busy at school" Shino replied as the girls walked towards the elderly woman.

"Let’s help you with that" Kyoto offering, feeling a little bit relaxed to see another person besides them.

"Aren’t you such a good girl?" The old woman smile.

The woman body kept on shaking like she was about to break as she handed the bag to Kyoto, although her skin was so old and wrinkly, it was surprisingly strong when Kyoto made contact with her as she collected the bag.
