Crashing into an Old Flame -
Chapter 98: Turned him gay
Chapter 98: Turned him gay
Ryle quirked a brow, ’’You are letting him take it, beautiful?"
The receptionist felt like she was floating on clouds. Beautiful, Princess.... She could brag to her friends that her life was no longer dry. She got nicknames from two gorgeous as hell men after all. She only regretted not recording it. But how could she see this coming when she came to her usual daily days of boring work?
The heavy pie that fell from the sky nearly crushed her to death.
Daisy was speechless. This man... Wasn’t he seducing that innocent girl just for the sake of a room? Men... Tsk. ’’I was here first. I get this room,’’ she stepped forward.
’’I will pay double for it,’’ Ryle said without turning around.
Daisy narrowed her eyes, ’’Four times the original price,’’ All these years of side gigs and part-time jobs she had taken up would go down the drain if she could not afford the price of a motel room.
The receptionist was speechless. Not just handsome, these men were rich too. Oh my lord!
"8 times.’’
’’16 times,’’ Daisy’s fingers curled, this man had never looked so annoying to her before. If it was not because of finding her best friend, then she would have left this place after throwing a punch at his face and breaking his nose.
’’32 times.... Well, no...’’ Ryle frowned as he turned around and leaned back on the reception desk as he sighed, ’’Call your manager, beautiful. We will start negotiating the contract.’’
The receptionist was stunned by another onslaught of butterflies after the nickname but she soon recovered her senses, ’’Uh... manager? Contract...?’’ Weren’t they raising the price of the last available room by the multiples of 8? Why did he stop? He couldn’t afford it?
As her heart started leaning towards her rich and suave Prince, she could not help but wonder what contract this poor Duke was talking about.
Daisy felt creeped out by the smirk that tugged up at the corner of Ryle’s lips.
To other girls, it might have looked charming and swoon-worthy. To her? It was downright creepy and it gave her the feeling that this man was not up to something good.
Ryle did not disappoint, ’’I am buying this motel.’’
The receptionist who had labeled the Duke as poor: "_"
Secretary: "_"
Driver: "_"
Daisy was so angry that she almost spat a mouthful of blood. This place was not a 5-star hotel but buying this property was not coming at some cheaper cost. And even if she had money, she was not that wasteful prodigal ass who would do it.
The gears in her head started turning. It was still better to mess with the security system and sneak inside. Even though it involved a few risks but she could still avoid ending up in prison if she played it safe and remained cautious.
With that thought, she glanced at the receptionist, ’’Get him the manager, Princess.’’
The receptionist blushed harder. Her insides had melted like wax by now.
Daisy turned to look at Ryle. ’’And you, Young Master, since you love this place so much, I’m giving this up for you,’’ she tilted her head to the side and smiled lazily.
Ryle’s eyes widened when he saw that charming smile on that man’s face. The tips of his ears were tinted red as he turned his face to the side, wondering whether men were supposed to be that pretty too...
From the corner of his eyes, he watched the man turning around to leave, ’’Hey, you...’’ he stopped him hurriedly.
Daisy turned around, ’’What is it?"
’’You want this room,’’ Ryle was taking a bet. He had been observing this guy since the moment he stepped inside the motel.
Initially, he had thought that he saw the wrong person on the road and there was no way that this guy would get dressed as a maid but apparently, his eyes did not fail him. He must have some weird cross-dressing hobbies.
Daisy frowned. Breaking into the security systems was time taking and tedious. Getting a room would still have been easier but...’’What has it got to do with you?"
"Well, I am here for work. Since this is the last room available, we can share. I am offering it as your kind ex-boss. Take it or leave it,’’ he shrugged casually as if any of this had nothing to do with him.
Daisy fell silent. Staying in this place and hacking into the CCTV was much more convenient than residing at some other place and coming here to break in, getting past the humans and systems, finding her friend, and holding a conversation, all the while trying her best to not end up behind the bars. ’’Sure, I’d take it. Thanks,’’ she looked at Ryle.
Ryle nodded, ’’Great then,’’ he turned to look at the receptionist who seemed to be waiting for the instructions, ’’No manager needed. Room keys.’’
He dropped the nickname as soon as he got what he want? Typical men. Daisy sighed, ’’Thanks for the trouble, Princess.’’
The receptionist blushed.
Ryle was speechless. What a flirt!
Once they left, Ryle’s secretary and his driver looked at each other, ’’Our boss.... Did he just coax another man into sharing a room with him?"
’’He... Of course, the boss did that,’’ the driver mumbled, ’’He is no ordinary man.’’
’’What?" The woman was bewildered.
’’He is your predecessor. He used to be Boss’s right-hand man until he mysteriously disappeared.’’
The woman was stunned. There were many legends in their company.
For example, take their Boss’s grandfather, everyone talked about him but nobody had seen him. And their Boss’ true love. Given how much of a playboy he was in his private life and a ruthless man on the work front, people assumed that he must have been a sweet guy once and his first love broke his heart which turned him into this.
Yet the greatest, most talked about legend was this person and his mysterious disappearance. She had always been curious about it too, ’’What exactly is the deal with this man?" she had not been able to see his face but he seemed pretty much normal, with the figure of a teenager probably.
The driver frowned as they walked towards the lobby, ’’Boss used to fire two people every 15 days. But this was the first person, who survived for more than a month...’’
’’I have survived for more than a year already,’’ the woman glared.
’’People say Boss has now lowered his standards. Keeping a secretary or not keeping one is just a formality after this man left his side...’’
’’What nonsense!" The woman was speechless, ’’And why are you talking like they don’t have a boss-employee relationship but like that of lovers instead?" Since she was in a high position, nobody at the company dared to approach her, let alone gossip with her so she had never been able to hear the details of this incident.
’’Because they were indeed considered to be a gay pair. It was said that this young man had turned our boss gay,’’ People had guessed wildly but he, as Ryle’s driver had seen his lost puppy look after this man left the company, ’’He was the only person who was never scolded by our Boss but some people had even seen him scolding boss.’’
The assistant got goosebumps, ’’Scolding Boss? Gay pair?"
’’Exactly. Some keen-eyed fellows had even noticed that Boss’ pupils dilated and his face flushed around him...’’ Trained men had good observation skills after all.
’’How could it be? Our Boss can’t be gay. I have literally heard the sound of his activities with girls countless times,’’ she was speechless.
’’Well, maybe Boss bends both ways.’’
’’Or maybe it was to cover his orientation? It’s good that I never developed special feelings for him. Tsk.’’ The woman tsked.
You tried to seduce him in your initial days but he never looked at your twice. The driver thought but he did not expose the woman. He shut his mouth suddenly, realizing that he had gossiped about his Boss due to his excitement.
At the same time, he could not help but think how he had wished for a lady Boss earlier so that he could de-stress. But, God seemed to have his own plans. Regardless of whether it was a male or female, he would gladly welcome them with open arms as long as they tamed their wild boss.
Bohooo~ Boss’ scariness and unpredictability have been off charts lately.
While it was chaotic in their heads, the two people in talks were inside the motel room.
Ryle sat on the bed as he crossed one leg above the other. It has been almost thirty minutes since they checked in and the guy had locked himself inside the bathroom.
The room had thin walls so the sound of the intense typing of the keyboard rebounded in the empty space.
