Chapter 99: Little egg
A/N: If any of you are younger than 16 or even older and feel uncomfortable about kinks, crude language, and explicit scenes then please get off this book. I have already put the R-18 tag but if you guys missed it, I will add trigger warnings in the synopsis. If you are uncomfortable with any of it, then please please drop this book~
TW—suicide, depression, rape, abuse, child trafficking
And other than these heavy topics, the book will have explicit sex scenes, mature content, and usage of the crude language as I mentioned before. Do take your decision wisely and see if you want to stick or leave.
I don’t want people to curse me over these things later because it would affect my mental health as the author. On a second note, my readers are all super sweet and they are always patient with me so I know for a fact that regardless of anything, they will not be harsh to me. I have noticed many new readers joining us so yeah, this note is for them in case anyone has triggers~

Ryle pushed himself to his feet as he went to knock on the bathroom door.
No response.
’’Get out of the bathroom unless you want to be kicked out of the room.’’
That elicited a response. The sound of intense typing on the keyboard paused.
The bathroom door opened and the handsome guy stepped out while holding a laptop in his hand, his lazy eyes glanced at him nonchalantly, ’’What is it?"
Ryle was speechless, ’’I... need to use the bathroom.’’
’’Go ahead,’’ Daisy stepped aside, making more way for him.
Ryle was irked for some reason, ’’You have nothing to say?"
’’Say what?" Daisy was genuinely confused as she glanced at the man.
Ryle almost puked a mouthful of blood.
He was used to firing people. The position of his secretary and personal bodyguard was quite tricky and he could not help but find most of those people intolerable. If it was guys, then they would cower in front of him. Girls... well, they would take their own sweet time in dressing up and seducing him. Getting laid was not usually a bad idea but a good fuck was not what he looked forward to when he worked.
So, when he finally found someone suitable to be his right-hand man, and he decided that he would never fire him, that person took the initiative to run away.
It has been more than a year, almost 2 years since this guy disappeared but Ryle could not decipher the mystery behind it at all.
Just why in the world would someone do that? Leave a highly profitable job. By running away like that, was this guy not afraid of provoking him?
But then again, Ryle had tried to look for him but he could not find anything at all. Not a single piece of information.
While he eventually got over it, but this issue kept nagging him at the back of his head. He was not over the grudge that he wanted to settle with this brat.
’’Were you not paid well? Were you not treated well in my company? What the heck did you mean by disappearing suddenly? You...’’ this guy didn’t even turn up his resignation letter. That arrogance, that bratty attitude even left him speechless.
’’Oh, about that...’’ Daisy stepped towards the bed and threw the laptop on the mattress. She stole this laptop from another internet café. She did leave her diamond ring there as compensation though. After all the owner was a girl, ’’I was bored,’’ she answered, remembering the other presence inside the room.
Ryle almost staggered back, suffering a huge blow right there and then. He stood there like a withering flower, ’’You... were bored?" he invested so much time and energy to think about this issue but this...
Uh... the world didn’t do him justice.
’’Mhm, what about it?" Daisy frowned. Men were so weird. Couldn’t they be more straightforward? Why was he playing merry-go-round with his words here with her? So annoying.
Ryle suppressed the urge to clutch his chest just in case he suffered from a cardiac arrest.
The countless conspiracy theories, the mystery plots in his head, the questions, the grief of losing the perfect right-hand man.... All of it summed up to ’this guy was bored’?
Compared to his exaggerated thoughts, Daisy did not think much about it.
Although she said that she was bored, it was not only that.
Ever since she started living independently, she had gradually cut herself off from her parents. Although she was a business graduate and the heiress to Chens but she had no interest in that company whatsoever.
To earn more money and do some adventure, she had been traveling around countries to do different side gigs in a low-key manner.
But she never worked at the same place for long to avoid her parents’ attention and let them meddle in her private life. Hence, working as Ryle’s personal secretary at Harper Security, one of the huge companies under Harper Society was one of her jobs. She stayed in Angeles for around 6 months or so.
That job paid her damn well. And she had initially wanted to stay there longer but then, her life took a sudden turn and she knew it was the time for a plan change when her little egg came into the picture. Or at least, she did make an appearance in the ultrasound scans.
’’So, you didn’t regret leaving that job?" Ryle observed the guy’s face to spot any hint of regret in there. It would probably soothe his hurt ego.
But Daisy’s face remained unmoved, ’’What’s there to regret? I didn’t do it under the influence of drugs. I was in my senses when I decided to drop that job,’’ At that time, she was more concerned about her future bulging belly and bladder and a fetus which had started growing inside her at some point.
To hell with some random job.
If Ryle had heard her calling that position a random job, he might have passed out but her words alone had the same impact.
’’You didn’t even turn in your resignation letter,’’ Ryle accused.
’’So what?"
So what? So cocky. So arrogant.
Not wanting to be infuriated any further, Ryle went to the bathroom.
Daisy did not spare another thought for him as she sat on the couch and started fiddling with the laptop, her gaze scanning through the CCTV recordings that she had hacked into.
She finally spotted the person she was looking for. Her best friend.
But Si Yena was not alone. As Daisy zoomed in, she spotted a sturdy man with her. He had a hand placed on the small of her back as he led her inside the motel.
She checked the consecutive cameras till she spotted them entering a room.
And the room number... it seemed to be two rooms away from the one she was staying in.
Daisy removed the recordings, and reset the laptop before she pushed herself to the door.
As soon as she stood up, someone fell into her arms and another person crashed beside her.
’’You...’’ Daisy glanced at the woman who had her face buried in her chest before glancing at the driver who had crashed beside her.
’’Soft...’’ Ryle’s secretary raised her hand to touch the woman’s chest in a daze, her face still half-buried in there.
’’What are you doing?" Daisy’s eyes widened and she stepped back immediately.
Just as the woman was about to crash on the floor, Daisy grabbed her hand and helped her up.
’’You felt soft...’’
’’Uhh... I have soft skin,’’ Of course, she would feel soft. She had lessened the number of bandages she had wrapped around her chest because her breasts had started aching after all the actions at the Chen mansion. That’s why she even got herself a baggy black hoodie and some other similar clothes.
As the secretary recovered her senses, she was once again stunned as she glanced at the beauty in front of her. Such a beautiful man... no wonder their boss was bent that way too.
The driver greeted Daisy by her old alibi ’Dexter’ before he dragged the secretary with him and left the room.
Daisy was bewildered. The way these people had crashed inside the room, it was as if they had pressed themselves against the door. But why?
She pondered over it for another moment but in the end, she tucked one hand in her jeans and strode towards her friend’s room.
She raised her hand to knock on the door but her hand paused when she saw the ’Do not disturb’ sign.
As if that sign was not enough, the sound of flesh slapping sounded against the door.
’’Ahh... yes yes...ah... harder.. rougher... faster....’’
This voice... Daisy was stunned.
This... She would have said that she did not recognize the voice but she recognized it. How could she not recognize her best friend’s voice? The voice that consoled her depressed ass over the years whenever she had felt down.
She was more mystified. It seems like the woman was here with her boyfriend. But why a motel like this? Where the room was not even soundproofed enough to mask the sound of their against-the-door activities.
While Daisy stood there with a blank face, a certain someone was observing her every move from afar.
Ryle was leaning back on the room’s door with his hands crossed in front of his chest as he observed his ex-right-hand man’s antics.
At this moment, Dexter had already steered clear of any shared connection between them and the usual Ryle would have solved his grudge and hammered ego by torturing this man or by kicking him out of his sight.
But Ryle was observing him instead. It was not everyday that he came across a mystery like this, one which amused him and made him want to solve it at the same time.
As he stepped closer, he could roughly guess what the people inside the room were doing. Fucking against the door like wild bunnies.
His gaze traveled to the guy standing in front of the door. Dexter, that guy, wore a blank expression on his face as if...
