At the airport.

’’Oh, these old bones... There you go. I am good from here,’’ Old Master Qin tried to shoo off the servants who had followed him all the way from Beijing like stalkers.

But they stood there, ramrod straight, eyeing the small paw-printed tote bag in his hand while they handled his other luggage.

Old Master Qin tilted his head to look at his son when he heard that, ’’Talk about him? Is there something I am supposed to know?" When Qin Zehan remained silent, he shook his head, ’’Tell me now. Here.’’

His instincts told him that this was not a trifle.

Wild thoughts and possibilities ran in his head and he knew that he had to get an answer to stop feeding to his baseless hopes.

His heart could take another disappointment because of the elder son whom he had already considered dead!

Old Master Qin stumbled a few steps back.

Suddenly, all the strength and stubbornness seemed to have left his body.

As the two servants following him stepped forward to support his body, he just looked like a weak old man, a simple and heartbroken grandfather who could not believe that his dead grandchild was not dead.

Old Master Qin gulped. He wanted to approach Logan but he felt like this whole revelation would shatter like a morning dream.

Sensing the tension in the air, Qin Zehan looked at both parties before speaking up, ’’Let’s go home before we talk about things.’’

Old Master Qin took another long look at Logan and then he reluctantly averted his gaze, ’’That’s right. Let go back first...’’ his voice was strained.

Both the father and son turned to walk away but Logan stood rooted to his spot, not moving an inch.

Qin Zehan stopped in his tracks and turned to look at him.

’’There is somewhere else I need to go first.’’

Diana was stirred awake by the constant ringing of her phone.

She grabbed her phone from the bedside table and buried her face in the pillow before answering the call.

’’What is it?" she would have bothered to make her voice more presentable, instead of sounding like a sleepy porn star had she not known who would call her early in the morning.
