Chapter 183: [Weekly Bonus Chapter 6/6] You Naughty, Naughty (1)
The heavy wooden door creaked open to reveal rows upon rows of gleaming weapons and armour. The room was well-lit, with fluorescent lights casting a bright glow over the polished surfaces of the equipment.
"This the armoury," the head butler, a tall man with a stern expression, informed, leading Adrian to a storeroom. "You will find most of the young master’s creations here. If you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to call me."
Adrian replied as he and Seraphina went to take a look inside.
[The higher entity, Creator of Deformed Perfection, eyes the armoury and feels jealous not to be there.]
[The entity, Sin of Sloth, snarls at the presence of the entity she is at odds with and warns the User not to accept any gifts from them.]
Adrian sighed, ignoring the prompts altogether. After all, he had more important things to do than watch two entities fight.
"I’m... surprised," Seraphina mumbled as they looked around. "No wonder everyone wants to have his gear."
"I thought the rumours were exaggerated, but I guess not," Adrian replied, picking up a dagger.
As they looked around, they saw weapons of all shapes and sizes hung from hooks on the walls, from swords and spears to rifles and pistols. Alongside them were rows of armour, ranging from lightweight vests to heavy-duty suits designed to withstand the most brutal battles.
With armouries like these, they would have taken the fight to Nexaria long ago. Obviously, the weapons before them weren’t enough to arm an entire army. However, they could arm a small elite force for any challenge.
"Let’s see if we can find anything useful, though," Adrian said, putting back the dagger.
While there were plenty of weapons, most wouldn’t be useful against a fey. Not because they weren’t deadly, but because feys couldn’t be harmed by physical attacks as they were primarily Astral creatures.
Astral creatures were beings that existed in two planes simultaneously. While they could seen, heard and felt in their reality, killing them was a different matter.
To kill them, one would first have to sever the creature’s connection between the two planes of existence and only then could the beast be killed.
That would ’eliminate’ them from their reality, but the other part would remain in the astral plan forever. Essentially, killing them was more like banishing them from one realm while trapping them in the other.
"Magic weapons... those were difficult to come by even in Nexaria," Seraphina commented, feeling the guns for a hint of mana. "I would be surprised if there’s any here."
"Hm..." Adrian replied. "By the way, you never told me about you, the real you that is-"
"If you want to know more about Pisces, you just need to ask," Seraphina grinned. "But there are some things I might not be able to share, even though I trust you. I hope you understand that."
"I know. I wouldn’t have mentioned anything if I had doubts about your character," Adrian mumbled, eyeing a sword. "How long have you been Pisces instead of Seraphina?"
"Years before you and the rest were summoned. And before you ask, I’ve been trained as an assassin long before I was bestowed the title of the Saintess."
"Isn’t it odd," Adrian chuckled, "to be skilled in both taking lives and saving them?"
"It is, but you eventually get the hang of it," Seraphina replied, but then she caught something. "I found something!"
Adrian hurried to take a look and smiled upon using [Analysis] on the dusty black whip.

"This is perfect!" Adrian said, giving the whip a swing.
"Ooh, someone seems well acquainted with whips?" Seraphina teased Adrian, and it worked as his ears turned red.
However, Adrian quickly gathered himself before heading out along with Seraphina. At first, Adrian wanted to take Seraphina with her, but on second thoughts, he decided against it.
The news of Eudora’s arrest must have reached John by now, and god knows what he might do to Shinon.
Besides, since John was one of the few A-rankers, Adrian knew the police wouldn’t do anything, and even the DRA wouldn’t confront him directly, or at least they would try not to upset him even more.
As such, he needed someone to stay behind and protect Shinon, and someone like Seraphina was more than capable of the task.

An hour later...
"Getting James’ number was worth it," Adrian commented, remembering how he had been stopped by the cops for riding on a wolf in the middle of the streets.
With no way to prove he was a ’hunter’, Adrian had to call James to sort out the mess, which he did promptly.
’He really wants me to work with the DRA, haha.’
Either way, Adrian rode Fenris to where the fey’s trail ended abruptly near an abandoned warehouse, or at least it looked like one.
Adrian looked around but couldn’t find anything. The warehouse doors were chained shut, and since nothing was outside, he decided to force his way inside and worry about the rest later.
Using Minotaur’s sword, Adrian managed to slice through the chains like a knife through butter.
’Let’s see what’s waiting inside.’
