"I hope you like it" Tori muttered pulling back her hand.

Patrick looked at the watch inside the bag and smiled. "I like it" he quickly replied with a smile and soon they settled down on the couch taking their respective seats.

Tori had no clue who she would start a conversation with her father. It had been years since they lost track of him and suddenly he showed up out of nowhere. The comfort that was present back then was gone and now she found it a little awkward to initiate a talk with him.

Patrick too sensed the discomfort and decided to speak instead. "My men are still searching Sandra. Hopefully, we would be able to find her" he said.

The mention of Sandra’s name made her stiff and she looked at Patrick with indescribable gaze before slowly bobbing her head.

Tori felt a void in her chest when she recalled her father was soon going to leave and once again she would be left alone.

All these years, she had been craving her father’s love, and now when he was there standing in front of her she couldn’t voice it out loud. She knew he made a mistake by getting Sandra out using illegal means, but now he was repenting.

To make up for his mistake, he even decided to help them, but unfortunately, Sandra was way too smart to fool so many men and escape. It wasn’t his fault that Sandra turned out to be way more evil than anyone could imagine.

He was just blinded by his fatherly love and did everything to keep his daughter happy.

Patrick still regretted the time when he wasn’t there for his family. He took the most heartless decision of leaving his family without thinking about how they would survive without him.

Maybe this was the punishment for him. He left them alone for selfish reasons, and now it is his turn to be alone until the day he dies.

"Anyways let’s not think about her and spoil our mood," he said and changed the topic.

"By the way, do you have anyone you like?" Patrick asked moving his eyes from her to Max.

Tori flushed at his words and bobbed her head. She then turned her head towards Max and clasp their palm together before looking back at Patrick.

" It’s him. Max is the one I love" She didn’t hold back and opened up. Since she had already made up her mind to let her father be aware of their relationship, she didn’t find it hard to confirm it.

"So I assumed it right" Patrick responded with a smile and added," You both have my blessing"

Both Max and Tori were stunned by his reaction, especially Max who didn’t have the slightest idea that Tori would let her father know about them in this meeting.

He just tagged her along because he didn’t want to leave her alone but who would’ve thought, she would introduce him as her beloved.

Tori was more than relaxed the moment Patrick gave them his blessing. Spending some time talking, the trio then headed towards the dining hall.

Tristan and Ashley had their dinner at the five-star restaurant before the couple decided to hit the road for a long drive. It had been so long since they had their private time.

Before they would go on drives, spend some time walking on the beach, and even have ice cream. But after all the unexpected events taking place, they had to be careful and guarded with so many men.

But today Tristan dropped all his worries and followed his wife’s request. He just wanted to let forget all the pain. He wanted to see that shine in her eyes and the same old smile she would give him whenever she was happy.

After driving for about an hour, they finally reach the cliff top and Tristan stopped the car.

Ashley creased her brows in confusion as she never came to this place before. It was her first time coming here. It was so dark outside with only the headlight of their car turned on.

"Come" she heard Tristan say and soon they both stepped out.

Walking to her side Tristan held her hand and they walked ahead when a beautiful view came into her sight.

The small city lights looked like a galaxy with stars glittering beneath them. The view itself was breathtaking and Ashley couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.

Tristan smile at her reaction and quickly wrapped his arm around his waist from behind.

"You have always loved looking at the sky, silently admiring the stars and relaxing in the cool breeze. I always wanted to bring you here, but couldn’t find the right time. But tonight, the moment finally arrived. Did you like it?" he asked resting his chin on her shoulder.

Ashley was speechless watching such a splendid sight. Taking a moment admiring the view, she then bobbed her head and wrapped her hand over his.

Turning her head to the side, she leaned forward motioning Tristan for a kiss. Understanding her action, he slowly moved forwards and seal her lips.

It wasn’t a long one but just a peck before they pulled back and turned their eyes ahead.

"Thank you," she said feeling lighthearted as she slowly rested the back of her head on his shoulder and they stood silently admiring the beauty ahead.

After spending some time, they both then headed back. On the way, Tristan stopped the car in front of the ice cream shop and brought Ashley her favorite blueberry flavor ice cream.

"Here, have it," he said passing the cup and watched her take the first bit.

"Umm.. why haven’t you got once for yourself. Are you simply going to watch me eat" she asked bringing the spoon closer to her mouth ready to take another bite when Tristan said.

"Who said I am only going to watch you eat? Did you forget I have my ways of sharing" he muttered and the moment she took the spoon in her mouth, Tristan pulled her by her neck and captured her mouth taking the bit of the ice cream through it.

"Umm... now I understood why you like this flavor so much," Tristan said licking his lips, tasting the ice cream.
