Chapter 389: Truth

Tristan’s eyes widen shock when Grace started to scold him. He thought reaching out for his mothers help would somehow give him a sense of assurance but nothing turned out as he thought it to be.

"You should’ve forcefully ask her to open the door" Grace was annoyed on how much stubborn her daughter turned in her absence. She thought being with Karl would’ve given her some sense, but no... she turned out to be more adamant then she already was.

"M-Mom..." Tristan whined like a child who was been scolded for nothing but Grace just brushed off his words aside and left the room in hurry.

Everyone was left in shock, especially Tristan who was neglected by his mother with even letting him speak. He then turned to look at his father who just shrugged his shoulder and got up to leave.

"Dad.." he called for his father but Trevor just walked away without listening to him. He wasn’t the one to speak in this matter as he couldn’t go against his wife. If she thinks Tristan didn’t try much then she was right.

When his father too walked away Tristan huffed and turned to look at Ashley as he groaned in annoyance.

"Why is everyone scolding me... I didn’t do anything" he asked suddenly feeling wrong. It wasn’t like he didn’t try to convince Gwen, but she was too stubborn to neglect his words.

Ashley pouted a little when se saw how child like he appeared when no one tried to listen to him.

"Come sit next to me" she said patting the seat next to her.

Tristan had a deep frown on his face which slowly eased when he noticed the gentleness in her gesture and like an obedient husband he was, Tristan immediately followed her words and sat next to her.

"Do you also think I didn’t try much?" he asked as he turned entirely to face her.

Ashley gasped when he suddenly questioned her. She could see that now he was having second thoughts or else he wouldn’t have asked her for the confirmation.

Staring at him for few seconds, she then reached her hand to cup his face and started to caress it. "No, I don’t think so... " she said and watched his face relaxed a little, but the little crease between his brows was still there.

"But being a mother, she is worried for her child" her words then cleared the lines on his forehead and he slowly calmed.

Grace loved her children equally and he should’ve know why she seemed so upset with him.

"I should’ve tried to talked to her" he muttered as he realized his mothers anger was right. He should’ve have left her door until she didn’t opened it for him.

Just like her, he should’ve acted stubborn.

Heaving out a deep breath, Tristan pulled her for a hug and buried his face into the crook of her neck. "Why am I so slow to understand" he muttered.

"Because you care for everyone so much that sometimes you get confuse" Ashley answered as she embraced him even more tightly and heard him chuckle next to skin.

"I think it’s better if mom talks to her and get her out of that room" Tristan grunted as he was irked by the name room with every conversation he had had in these two days.

"Let’s hope for the best" she assured him and they slowly pulled apart.

"Let’s hope for the best" he muttered following her words.

Meanwhile Grace reached Gwen’s room and was about to knock when suddenly the door flung open and her daughter walked out surprising her.

"Hello mom" Gwen muttered but she didn’t see that excitement in her eyes and actions.

He daughter would’ve jumped hugging her like a koala but this girl in front of her just smiled at her.

Grace opened and closed her mouth like a gasping fish when she noticed that Gwen had got ready and was leaving.

Brushing aside her astonishment, Grace tried to cheer up her mood and asked," I you going somewhere honey" she sounded normal in front of her as she didn’t wanted to let her noticed that she returned because Tristan called her.

Maintaining the same smile, Gwen bobbed her head and replied," Yes I am leaving for office mom. There is so much work I need to finish" she then tucked her bag on her shoulder and was about to leave when Grace stopped her.

"Gwen... don’t you want to talk to you mom" Grace dropped all her act and directly asked. She couldn’t see her daughter like this.

Grace knew she was trying to act strong , hiding the pain which was quiet evident in her eyes that didn’t seem to be at peace. It was too much for her to behave as if everything was fine when in reality she was breaking.

Gwen stopped and lowered her head as she was turned by Grace to face her. "I know something has happened you and Karl and I just want to know that" the gentleness in her voice was long gone and now she was determined to know what exactly happened for them to behave like this.

Once she hears her out she would then visit Karl in the hospital and beat him black and blue for acting this childish.

Gwen who was trying to act strong finally broke the wall and burst into tears surprising Grace as she tightly hugged her.

"He cheated on me mom... he cheated on me" she cried as she finally spoke the truth...

Meanwhile Tori who recieved the biggest shock of her life left the base without telling anything to anyone.

She kept walking to an unknown road with her mind entirely messed. The truth she heard from that Dr. Jaden stirred her entire world upside down.

In the beginning she didn’t realized why Gabriel wanted her to join Max to abduct the doctor but when she came to know that the doctor was working for someone who she knew shattered her heart.

He confirmed that the women on the screen was non other than her sister Sandra whom he had been treating all these years. Her identity was sealed as the man who happens to be her father never wanted anyone to know about it.

Tori had recieved then biggest shock of her life when she learned that Sandra had faked her death and was now staying with her father who was secretly helping her to destroy them.

She kept walking on the road ignoring the sound of the vehicles that drove passed her. Some even pull on a sudden break stopping their car from crashing her but the girl didn’t seem to bothered by any.

As if she didn’t care about life anyone, Tori kept on moving when a huge truck speeded from the other side alerting the girl but she didn’t seem to listen.
