"What the fuck is wrong with you Tori" Max yelped anxiously as he engulf the girl in his arms, tightly.

When he returned to the surveillance room and didn’t find Tori anywhere, his heart dropped.

He had this nagging feeling of something wrong going to happen, and that’s when he decided to check the cameras. He noticed her walk out from the base aimlessly and he quickly dashed away.

He had been following her, calling out her name but she was too ignorant to listen to any of his calls and that’s when his eyes widen as he noticed a trunk emerging her way.

"Tori.." he called her name out once again as fear engulfed his heart and he sprinted toward her with all his speed and pulled her before the truck could touch her.

If it wasn’t for his quick response, she would’ve been crushed under its wheels.

Tori on the other hand stood still. She was so drowned in her sorrow that she didn’t feel anything. Her heart was numb as she couldn’t accept the fact of her sister being this evil to trick every one of them.

She thought it was some kind of misunderstanding that created this drift between them but now when she finally began to see the truth, Tori realized it wasn’t anyone’s fault but her sister who was after their life because of her obsession towards Tristan.

She was the reason behind all this confusion. She fooled everyone, faking her death the entire time.

An entire minute passed when she finally spoke, "You should have let me go.." her voice came out like a whisper. It was so low that no one could hear it.

"Huh?" Max asked as he slowly watched her let go of his embrace.

His heart broke when he saw that dead look in her eyes. It was as if she was tired of everything and now had no strength to fight.

"What did you just say" he knew she wasn’t very audible in her voice but he heard her every single word.

Tori raised her head and looked at Max. He looked so hurt by the words she spoke. All of sudden everything stopped and she felt her heart fill with immense pain. Tears started to well in her eyes and she finally broke down.

"Everyone lied to me...my father, my sister, Gabriel, you... everyone manipulated me" She said those words with utmost pain as she pushed him away.

"You all are liars... everyone! Every one of you lied to me for your own benefit" Tori yelled as she watched Max with detest.

Max knew everything yet he remained silent. He was so devoted to his duties towards Gabriel that he didn’t even mind lying to her the girl he thinks to be in love with.

’What kind of love is it that makes you lie to them’ she wondered suddenly feeling everything around her to be a lie. All this time she was living a lie, fighting for a lie, craving for a lie.

Max stood stunned as he watched her vent her anger on him. She looked so done with everything and everyone that she didn’t care if she died a few moments ago.

He knew she felt betrayed by everyone, but even they were manipulated. Her sister was the reason why everything turned like this and they just merely became her pawns.

If she had not faked her death and written that letter Gabriel would have never turned this crazy to destroy everyone who hurt her. His love for her was pure but it was she who didn’t reciprocate back.

She demanded revenge in those words and that stupid lover didn’t think twice before starting on his revenge plan.

Max couldn’t bear to see her cry and reached out his hand to hold her but she jerked it aside.

"No!.. don’t you dare touch me. I want to be alone..." she screamed her lungs out and turned around walking away from where he stood.

Max could only watch her retreating back understanding that she had finally reached her limits.

No one except him knew how sensitive as a person Tori was. She would always mask her true feeling from everyone as she didn’t like showing her weakness but in front of him, she would be her true self.

He stood there until she disappears from his sight.

Karl was getting bored sleeping on the sick bed. He just wanted to leave this place at stay at home, but the doctors decline his request and asked him to rest or else they will inject him with anesthesia.

His body was still weak and dehydrated and all he needed was to have a proper rest.

Heaving out a deep breath, Karl finally pushed himself up on the bed and sat upright. His head felt so heavy that he suddenly felt dizzy. "Ah.." a low growl escaped his lips as he held his head, stopping it from spinning when the door to his ward opened.

Karl was startled for a moment thinking it was again the nurse who came to check on him and he quickly spoke in his defense with his eyes still closed.

"I am not going anywhere. My back hurts from too much sleep"

"But still you shouldn’t get up" the person standing inside the room spoke with Karl shot opening his eyes and looked ahead.

Grace stood there with her hands crossed over her chest as she eyed the young man who looked so fragile and weak. His pale face and dry lips made her feel bad for him.

"Mom.." the throbbing pain in his head was gone as he looked at Grace with wide eyes.

He didn’t expect her to be here but now that she was standing in front of him the guilt once again engulfed his heart and he lowered his eyes in shame.

"When did you return" he mumbled under his breath. He couldn’t look straight into her eyes as the sin he did keep replaying in his mind.

Gwen had told her everything but still, she couldn’t agree with her as she wasn’t aware of his side of the story.

Grace knew Gwen but she also knew Karl. There was something about this situation that left her hanging. She knew it wasn’t the entire truth, so here she was standing in front of him.
