Noah decided to stay with Karl while Tristan and Ashley decided to return to the Knight mansion to check on Gwen.

They couldn’t leave her alone knowing how the situation between her and Karl had tensed.

Once they way out of the hospital Tristan was about to open the door of his car for Ashley to step in when suddenly his phone rang.

"Just a second," he said and pulled out the cell phone from his pocket and noticed it was Gabriel who was calling him.

"It’s Gabriel," he said and answered the call.

"Hello.." the moment his words reached his ears, Tristan’s entire aura turned dark.

Ashley noticed the change as his eyes turned extremely cold while he just kept listening to Gabriel on the other end.

"Just inform me what you plan to do next," he said with a deadpan tone and ended the call.

"Is everything alright?" she asked as she watched him turn to face her.

"Nothing is alright, Sandra... she is alive" The words came like a thunderbolt, leaving her speechless for a moment.

Ashley’s mouth fell open as she tried to gasp his words. So they were right all the time. Sandra had truly faked her own death, but why?

Tristan roamed his eyes everywhere trying to scan their surrounding. His men were everywhere monitoring them secretly but after whatever he heard from Gabriel about Sandra and how Dr. Jaden have been treating her for her mental health issue, he couldn’t neglect anything.

Their life had been going in a circle with no peace to be found and he wondered how long they had to fight this battle.

[Sandra’s place]

Sitting inside the room, Sandra watched the video playing on her phone where she could see her sister knocking on Dr. Jaden and then there is another person who is Gabriel’s alley dragging him to their car as they shoved him inside, and soon the car drove away.

"I guess by now they have come to know about you Madam" Lucas spoke with a cold expression.

After Natalie got prisoned, Lucas entirely submitted himself to work with Sandra. There wasn’t any way for him to get his daughter out as he knew the crime imposed on her was strong enough to detent her lifelong imprisonment.

Now he only wanted to seek revenge from the person who did that to her not caring about what it will bring him in return.

Sandra’s eyes turned darker as she finished watching everything She gnashed her teeth in fury before she threw the phone away.

"Damn you Tori. How can you betray your sister like that" Sandra snarled as she couldn’t believe her sister was the one supporting them. She was the one who told them about her and then the search for her started.

Thankfully being with Gabriel gave him a lot of details about their progress or else, he wouldn’t have been able to find that they have already learned about her existence.

That day when she had sent that man to kill Ashley, she didn’t realize her plan and failed like this. Not only did the man was caught, but they were also able to trace the person who send him the money.

"I underestimated them all. I should’ve known they are leaders of a powerful mafia gang and tricking them isn’t an easy task" Sandra snapped suddenly feeling the sense of failure rush through her mind but she wouldn’t let it intimidate her.

"We have to be careful from here on. Make sure you keep me updated about everything without getting caught, Lucas. I am counting on you" she declared before motioning him to leave.

Once she was the only one left inside the room, she pulled out a cigarette and lit it before taking a deep buff and blowing the smoke out.

Her eyes turned red as she looked ahead blankly. She thought after everything was done, she would bring it back Tori along with her, but after whatever she saw and learned, her faith in her sister faltered.

’After all, she decided to go against her’ she thought as a humorless grin marred her lips but it soon faded and her face turned cold once again.

The couple finally reached the mansion. Entering the house they ascended upstairs when they noticed Gwen who stood by her door staring at them.

The moment their eyes met, they noticed the restlessness in them as if she was asking them about Karl’s well-being.

"How is he?" she finally asked as she couldn’t handle the silence that kept drowning her heart.

"Why don’t you go and meet him" Tristan spoke.

Both Gwen and Karl were acting stubbornly. When they care for each other so much then why can’t they sort everything?

A wave of relief passed through her eyes but she quickly masked back her expression to blank. "Everything has ended between us brother" With that she turned and stepped into her room shutting the door close once again.

Tristan and Ashley stood there in utter shock. "They broke up" Ashley muttered as she turned her head to look at Tristan who seem to be still in denial just like her.

"I think it’s time for Mom to return. It’s only her who would make them understand" Tristan declared as he turned and stepped into the room leaving Ashley dumbstruck, but soon she too agreed with his decision.

’It was only Grace who would put some brain into their empty head’

The next day, Tristan’s parents and Dante returned from Country X. After whatever they heard from their son, she couldn’t neglect her kids like that, and the very next morning they traveled back home, to their kids.

"I am telling you, Mom, they both are being too stubborn" Tristan huffed, complaining to his mother like a child who couldn’t understand his sister and friend anymore.

Grace and Trevor shared a glance at each other before she turned to look at Tristan," Is she awake?" she asked.

"I don’t know. She isn’t answering anyone" Tristan was now hell tired and was on the verge of losing his wits to his stubborn sister. Just because she was dealing with a heartbreak that didn’t mean she would shut everyone out from her life.

Grace squinted her eyes narrow as she shot glared at her son for being this loser. "Why didn’t you forcefully check on her then? Such a useless big brother"
