Ashley and Tristan along with Gwen and Karl reached Alice’s apartment. Everyone was happy for the couples that they decided to celebrate the news.

Uncorking the champagne bottle, Tristan gave a toast to the couple, congratulating them. He was happy that his playboy friend finally decided to settle down in life and the girl was nonother than Alice.

Cheering for the couple, everyone then settles down on the couch and had their drinks.

"So, when is the auspicious day," Gwen asked eyeing excitedly at the couples.

"Whenever Alice says. If she asks me to go now, I am in for it" Noah declared winking at Alice.

"Really," Alice asked arching her brow in questioning.

"Of course. Just one word my lady and I am ready to take you to the registration office" his words made Alice roll her eyes. He was so eager that he kept blabbering the same thing from the moment she gave him a nod.

"Stop now or else I will take back my words" Alice warned and watched the smile on his face drop.

"By the way, seriously when do you both plan to register your marriage," Gwen asked.

"Day after tomorrow, after Grandpa’s surgery" Alice answered.

Taylor was the one assisting the surgeon who was going to operate on Dante and it was his request to be present at his son’s marriage. So they decided to get their certificate the day after tomorrow so his parents would also be present with them.

"But the reception will be grand. Mom wants to invite everyone since her heartfelt wish is finally coming to true" Noah said zipping the champagne from his glass.

" Everything looks like a dream to me" She said as soon as Ashley joined standing next to her.

Back inside the living room, Gwen and Karl got busy talking to each other while Noah and Tristan remained silent as they kept sipping the champagne.

"He won’t do anything. I can guarantee it" Tristan cut in stopping him from finishing his statement.

Noah arched his brows at Tristan’s confidence. How can he blindly put faith in that scheme man? Gabriel was like a cunning fox and no one other than him knew it. Then why was he so laid back and not in action yet?

"And what makes you think that?" Noah straightened himself on the couch and asked. He wanted to know what was going on in Tristan’s mind and why was he so confident about Gabriel’s intention.

Looking into his eyes for a few seconds, Tristan’s lips curled up into an evil smile, giving goosebumps to Noah.

"Don’t tell me you will let him woo your wife" Noah asked.

The way Tristan was all relaxed gave him the thought that he didn’t mind Gabriel lurking around Ashley.

Tristan didn’t answer him and continued having his drink, leaving Noah clueless.

"Did you tell Noah about it?" Ashley asked once she was back to normal.

She could see that Alice was struggling with her thoughts. She said she wasn’t sure if it was imagination or if she really did see Brooke. But the fear she witnessed in that very moment brought back all the horrible memories.

Alice gulped the drink and sighed. She was torn between her own thoughts. Did think of telling it to Noah but what if was not like what she saw? What if it was only her imagination and she didn’t see Brooke?

"I don’t know what to do" Alice sighed pinching the bridge of her nose and lift her head. She was feeling helpless.

Watching Alice like that, Ashley reached her hand and placed it on her shoulder slowly patting it.

"I’ll ask Jack to check through the CCTV footage in the supermarket. Let’s confirm if Brooke was really there or if it was just your assumption" Ashley assure and quickly dialed Jack’s number.

Ending the call she then looked at Alice and smiled." Let’s join others" she said and they both walked inside the living area accompanying others.

"What were you both doing outside," Noah asked as soon he watched the two join them.

"Girls talk" Alice answered with an assuring smile and took the seat next to Noah.

"Babe, this celebration party is for us and you are not even physically present in it" Noah moved closer to her and wrapped his arms around her hand like a clingy boyfriend.

Everyone was busy planning the wedding but the soon-to-be bride wasn’t even volunteering for it.

Alice shook her head watching him whine like a kid and pinched his nose." What do you want me to do when everything is been taken care of"

Since the work was equally distributed, Alice and Noah had nothing to worry about. All they had to do was to walk down the aisle.

"Don’t do anything, just stay by my side" Noah mumbled resting his head on her shoulder, snuggling closer to her neck like a fluffy kitten.

Inside the silent room, both Avera and Natalie looked at Brooke who sat in front of them lazily.

"Is he going to say anything or we are just wasting our time on him" Natalie was getting impatient. They hired this man to scare Alice. But his silent and indifferent attitude was bothering her.

Avera glanced at her and then looked at Brooke." Alice... where you able to scare her" after a long pause, she finally asked.

Brooke who was laid back all the time raised his eyes at the girl. She was Dylan’s woman and also the one who hired him for getting even with Alice.

"She was" he answered keeping the words minimal.

Brooke didn’t know why Avera approached him and even bail in out of the prison. But after much thought, he came to understand that just like him even she held grudge against the girl, or else why would she come and lend a helping hand?

After that night Brooke had been on the run trying to save himself from the cops but unfortunately, after some days they were able to get a hold of him and since then he had been rotting inside the cell.

He thought Dylan would come and get him out but even his friend turned his back on him and flew back to his country leaving him and Adan to deal with the cops.

And now after so many years passed, he was again approached but not by Dylan but by his fiancé Avera, who assured him that she would get him out of the prison but in return, he had to help her.

"Good" Avera bobbed her head and continued," I want you to keep on scaring her for some time until she loses her mind and slips back to depression once again, and don’t worry about the money. You will get a fair share" she assured.

Once again silence engulfs the entire room but for not too long when Brooke’s husky voice breaks the ice," By the way did you both know Alice and Noah are getting married soon" his words took both Natalie and Avera by shock, but the one who wasn’t able to grasp much was Natalie and she yelped," What!!"

Her eyes grew wide as she stared at Brooke who shrug his shoulder moving his eyes from Avera and her.

"Aren’t you aware?" he asked and saw Avera shook her head in denial.
