Chapter 83: Conversations With Andrian
Jules pov
I was sitting cross legged in one the couches here while Andrian was looking through a bunch of books on his desk.
"I acquired this book at a very costly price, I believe the spell for unsealing locked magic is in there." He explained and I felt relieved of course through my veins. As I was coming to see Andrian, this was the last thing I expected to hear from him.
To think that I had almost given up on my magic getting unsealed. So many emotions were currently dancing through my insides and I was finding it hard to sit still. The thought of being able to use magic once again was so exciting that it was still hard to come to terms with.
"This is the reason why I was unable to come to you last night when you needed help. After I asked you to keep your location turned on and all." He revealed as he finally pulled up a book with an ashy, dark cover and almost chipped edges.
I sat up straighter as he approached me. "After getting a hold of this book, apparently a bunch of other people wanted it as well. They tailed me and tried to steal it from me, it’s all thanks to the friend working with me, she’s a shapeshifter, so she easily escaped with the book and I had to fight off those thieves on my own along with my guards. Sadly, the rest of them escaped before I could question them." He explained as he handed the book over to me.
The book felt cold in my palm, and I could tell it was an ancient book by how it looked and smelt.
"Oh wow, I really hope you’re okay." I offered as I attempted to open the book. Andrian chuckled as he took the couch opposite me.
"I think I should be asking you that, how were you able to get out of the dangerous situation last night?" He asked and I bit on my bottom lip as I glanced at him.
"That’s... one of the things I wanna talk to you about." I admitted and he leaned forward, motioning for me to go on.
"So, I was saved by someone whom I believe is my fated mate." I started, gauging his reaction.
"But, the thing is... he has rescued me from situations like that a handful of times, and in those situations, he’s never there when it’s happening, yet he always ends up showing up. Have you ever heard of anything like that happening before?" I asked and Andrian hummed, appearing deep in thoughts.
"You’re certain this person is your fated mate?"
"I- I believe so, although we’re of different supernatural classes. He’s a werewolf, and I’m a warlock. So at first I didn’t believe that, but so far, all of this is making it seem like we’re really fated mates." I explained and Andrian began to pace slowly.
"And he’s a werewolf?" He echoed and I nodded, then I leaned forward.
"But... I don’t actually understand this but he can teleport, and he’s as fast as a vampire as well."
"Oh Jules... this doesn’t sound good." He finally breathed out and my heart flew into my throat.
"It doesn’t?" I whispered and he sank into his seat once again.
"I believe it has pros and cons. If you’re indeed fated mates, you cannot be able to fully confirm that yet until your power gets unsealed, then you’d get a sign... like a dream or something. But so far, it sounds like you’re both fated mates." He explained and I nodded slowly.
"But, you should know that fated mates pairings like this happen one in a million times, and that’s a bad thing because different supernatural classes don’t mix together to begin with." He continued and my breath stuttered in my chest.
"The reason why I said it’s a bad thing is because the last time something like this happened was like a century ago if I’m correct, and from what I can remember of the stories, both fated mates ended up tragically dying because they both protected each other to the very end." He revealed and my mouth fell open in horror.
"What?" I whispered and he sighed, massaging his forehead.
"Werewolves do not teleport or possess speed ability. All of this doesn’t sound so good when you think about it. Who is this person?" He asked after a few minutes and I pursed my lips.
"I don’t know if you’d know him though. His name is Blaze–"
"Blaze? The alpha prince??" Andrian echoed, mouth dropping open when I slowly nodded my head.
"Jules, literally everyone in the country knows Blaze. How wouldn’t I know him? He’s a prince, and his father is a scary monster whom no one dares fucks with. Oh Jules, this doesn’t sound good at all." He breathed out while pulling on his hair.
"Blaze took care of the situation I was in last night and killed the principal whom I believe you know. But before he did, the principal confessed that Blaze’s father was the one who ordered him to capture me for him." I revealed, because it felt like that was the only logical thing to do.
Andrian looked like he had seen a ghost.
"Oh Jules, we’re undoubtedly in deep shit right now." He swore and I couldn’t agree more.
"Blaze would protect me though..." I breathed out after a few moments.
Andrian reached for my hand. "Jules, I don’t think you understand. No one can go up against that monster, not even the prince can."

The book Andrian claimed had the spell which would unseal my powers refused to open and Andrian believed only a witch or a warlock would be able to open it. He thankfully has a witch friend and he informed me he’d invite her over tomorrow.
He also informed me he’d get me a new phone tomorrow. The phone I had used in texting him this morning had been Blaze’s spare, and that was the one still in my pocket right now.
Later that evening, it was past 5 when I arrived back in the large building housing the students for now. I was feeling glad that I had arrived quite early, and I was looking forward to going upstairs to Blaze. It has barely been eight hours since I last saw him, but I couldn’t wait to see him right now.
On stepping into the elevator, the doors were about to close before a foot prevented that from happening, and said foot belonged to Kai who slipped in through the doors and gave me a long look.
"You’ve been avoiding me, Jules."
