Chapter 81: Who Do You Belong To?
Jules’ pov
Blaze just teleported?
He just freaking teleported!
I felt the breeze whooshing over me in such a dizzying way, and the next moment, we weren’t in the hotel any longer. Instead, we were in the middle of the dorm we shared.
I gaped at him in shock, mind circling around what had just happened, while reflecting over the fact that he had been able to move at the speed of a vampire as well.
He was staring down at me when I blinked up at him, hands still wrapped around the back of my head and my waist and I was still tightly gripping his shirt. My mouth dropped opened and closed but nothing came forth, there was a lot of questions dancing through my head right now, but nothing managed to come forth.
His hand around the back of my head slid down till it was circling the back of my neck, grip squeezing a little and I felt myself melt against his body, mind almost going blank in a heartbeat.
"What should I do with you?" His voice was low as he spoke, head cocked sideways. "You’re always getting yourself in one mess or the other. What am I to do with you, bunny?" He continued and I struggled for what to say in response.
His grip around the back of my neck squeezed tight once again and I let out a sharp exhale, breath stuttering in my chest.
"I’m sorry." I whispered, feeling like I needed to apologize for how I was always attracting trouble every damn time, and how he always had to come save me each time.
He let out a low chuckle before dropping his hand from my back. His other hand around the back of my throat moved up till he was grabbing my chin and tilting my face up.
"There’s a lot of things we need to discuss. Things we need to talk about and important things which I need to explain to you. I need you to be honest with me henceforth, bunny. Can you do that for me?" He asked, eyes boring into mine and I felt a small tremor course through my veins as I blinked a few times.
"I can." I mumbled in response, heart racing. He hummed once, dark eyes feeling like it was tugging at my soul.
"Good." He breathed out and then he was tilting my head sideways, eyes trailing over my swollen cheek.
"Who hit your face?" The question made me jolt a little and I swallowed emptily as I responded.
"The principal." I whispered, remembering that Blaze had actually killed him back at the hotel. That sudden thought made my heartbeat accelerate.
"Should’ve made him hurt some more before I killed him." He husked out and my eyes widened, mouth falling open.
He dropped his hand and suddenly swept me off my feet, knocking the breath from my lungs as I scrambled to grip his broad shoulders even though I was certain he wouldn’t let me fall.
He was in the kitchen in no time, settling me over the counter and looking through the fridge. He ended up emerging with a can of soda.
"No ice in there." He announced with an eye roll as he stepped right into my space, lodging himself between my thighs and stealing the breath from my insides once again as he grasped my chin and tilted my head sideways, lightly pressing the cold can against my cheek. I gasped as it made contact with my cheek, and even though I tried telling him that it doesn’t hurt that much, he chose to ignore that.
"How did you end up in the principal’s car?" He asked and I blinked once, heartbeat accelerating at the unexpectedness of his question.
"Willingly. After I was convinced it was only a few buildings away. He said we were going to talk in a restaurant. If I- if I knew it was a club, I wouldn’t have agreed to go with them. Although I was suspicious at first, but I- I didn’t know how to refuse the principal." I revealed and he hummed, eyes focused on my cheek which he was icing. He remained silent until he put the can away.
"Bunny, aren’t you aware that you can now refuse to do anything you don’t want to in this school because of me?" He inquired and my mouth fell open, eyes widening in disbelief. He snorted at my facial expression.
"Silly pup. Don’t tell me you didn’t figure this out yet." He continued as he helped me off the counter and I felt my cheeks grow hot.
It wasn’t my fault that I was so dumb and slow.
"I- I didn’t know that could apply to the principal." I admitted, suddenly feeling breathless now that he had a hand on the counter behind me, with barely any gap between us.
"Oh, bunny... It applies to everyone here in this school. You only need to say my name and remind them of who you belong to, and that’s it." He explained as his other hand tilted my chin up.
"You’re aware of who you belong to, aren’t you?" He husked, eyes piercing and grip firm around my chin. I felt my breath hitch in my throat the next moment as I slowly nodded my head.
"Y- yeah." I responded quietly, voice slightly stuttered. He let out a pleased hum and took a step forward, erasing the distance between us until I could feel every inch of him against me.
"Who do you belong to?"
It was a simple question, but it felt so significant. My heart was racing and my stomach kept fluttering. Various images flashed behind my eyes, of him resembling the monster described by everyone when I watched him kill the principal and then threaten Kim within an inch of his life. I remembered being frozen and scared shitless in that moment, but that fright didn’t take long to morph into a completely different emotion because he had been protecting me in that moment, and nothing was as significant and impactful as that.
"You." I whispered in response, eyes fluttering a little. It was a simple word, but it felt so heavy, so powerful, like I was finally openly acknowledging something which I should have, ages ago.
Blaze’s eyes darkened, his scent thickening in the air and then he leaned down and brushed his lips over my forehead in such a light way that sent shivers down my spine.
"That’s right, bunny." He growled softly against my forehead and I shivered against him, eyes falling close and breath hitching once again.

Later that night, Blaze had his arm wrapped around my waist, eyes boring into mine and sandalwood scent almost making me light headed. The room was dark, but light filtered in from the ajar door, casting a soft glow over Blaze’s face and making my stomach tighten up, breath hitching in my throat when he tugged me closer, large palm sliding underneath the thin shirt I had on to melt against my soft skin.
A shiver rolled down my spine as I tried to regulate my pounding heartbeat.
"Thank you for saving me... again." I whispered for the hundredth time tonight, while my heart fluttered in my chest.
He chuckled a little, hand squeezing my bare waist a little and sending another shiver down my spine.
"Give me a kiss, bunny."
The words settled in the pits of my stomach and I felt tiny bubbles of heat roll through the insides of my veins as I reached for his face, closing the tiny gap between us and slotting our lips together.
