Chapter 201: New Discoveries
Jules’ pov
The car pulled up to a stop in an open arena, and I let out a long sigh before shoving my phone into my pocket, just as Blaze finally got off the call he had been engaged in for almost ten minutes.
He arched a brow as he stared at me. "You okay, bunny?" He asked and I nodded in response. I was more than fine, we were returning back to school, and even though it was gonna be confining, at least we’d be safer there.
I noticed Roy staring at me from the rearview mirror and he winked at me, which made me roll my eyes a little. Roy was the one who had driven Blaze and I from that penthouse, Blaze had called him over so that he could take the car away after dropping us here.
Blaze stepped out of the car and I stepped down as well, and so did Roy. I walked around the car just as Blaze’s hand settled on Roy’s shoulder in a squeeze which was too soft for them to be nothing but worker and employer. They were silent as they stared at each other, but I knew they were silently communicating. Roy finally nodded one before Blaze dropped his hand and turned towards me. He tugged me against his side and draped his arm around me.
"I’m really gonna miss you, Roy. You’re really cool, you know ..." I started, because once we return to school, it would take months before it vacates. Roy grinned and squared his chin, eyes darting towards Blaze.
"Hear that?"
Blaze snorted and rolled his eyes. "Fuck off, Roy."
"You’re both cute, like super cute. Also, congratulations on being mated. It shouldn’t feel like it was overdue since you’ve not known each other that long, but somehow, it still feels long overdue." Roy continued, looking genuinely happy for us as he spoke and I unconsciously reached for the side of my throat which was exposed. I had almost forgotten that everyone would be able to tell that I’ve been mated with just one glance and I felt my cheeks heat a little.
However, Blaze’s arm around me tightened. "Trust me, I get that. It does feel long overdue." Blaze drawled in response just as a sharp gust of wind went up in the air, along with sharp whirling sounds. I followed the sound and my eyes landed on a jet in the far end of the open space.
Blaze’s phone vibrated in his pockets and after a quick glance at it, he explained that we have to go.
I waved at Roy. "I guess I’d be seeing you later." As I spoke, Blaze was already walking towards the jet and tugging me along but Roy called out his name and he paused and turned around.
"No goodbye hug?" Roy asked him and he got an eyeroll in response which made him snicker as he closed the distance between us. His hands were in his pockets as he spoke.
"What about Kim?" He asked, eyes on Blaze who instantly narrowed his eyes.
"What about him?" Blaze asked and I watched as Roy rolled his eyes.
"Just answer the question." He responded.
Blaze pursed his lips. "Don’t tell me you’re into him, Roy." He said those words flatly, but Roy was already snorting while shrugging his shoulders.
"He’s hot." Roy responded matter of factly, and I have to agree with him. Kim is sex on legs.
Blaze didn’t look impressed, if anything, he looked disappointed. "Roy..." He started to speak but Roy waved him off.
"I’m not making a move or anything, I only asked about him, that’s all." He reminded Blaze who scoffed this time.
"He’s gonna lose his life sooner than later. It’s inevitable because he’d never stop working for me in order to protect Jules, and I’m certain my father’s team has given him one final chance. They only give three chances and he has messed two up. He’d still have to end up blowing up this final chance because of the fear of facing my wrath, and those people giving him these second chances would end up putting an end to his life this time." As Blaze spoke, he didn’t miss a beat, but his voice grew a little colder.
I tried to make myself invisible as possible, because I was started to feel guilty once again at the thought of Kim losing his life.
Roy let out a breath and stepped back. "Oh well. That’s a shame though, that ass is too fine to waste away like that." He drawled and Blaze shrugged carelessly.
"He brought it upon himself when he decided to touch what belonged to me."

Once on the jet, I let my eyes wander around the exquisite interior. The last time I was on a jet was when Andrian transported me from my country after that massacre. It seemed so far away, but I knew it wasn’t. It only felt that way because a lot of things has happened since then.
"I can’t believe you have access to a jet." I whispered, awe filling my voice as I glanced over at Blaze who let out a snort. He reached out and unbuckled my seatbelt now that we were safely in the air, tugging me into his lap and wrapping his arms around my waist. I melted against my chest, heartbeat accelerating a little. It doesn’t matter how many times he puts his hands around me, I’d always want it, and I was certain I’d never get tired of it.
"It’s all thanks to my grandfather." He spoke up and I blinked at him in confusion, right before he clarified.
"He talked about me having access to a private jet. It’s all thanks to my grandfather." He explained and I blinked again, in shock this time.
"I didn’t know you have a grandfather." I blurted out and he chuckled.
"I have a lot of family members, bunny. But they all want me dead, so they don’t count." He explained and my eyes widened.
"Oh." I whispered and he hummed.
"Except my grandfather. He’s the reason I have a lot of riches to my name, he’s the reason I have access to the penthouse we went to last night, and the reason I have access to a lot of money, and not my father like everyone automatically thinks." He explained and this time, my mouth dropped open in shock.
"One of the numerous reasons my father hates me, is because his father detested him, and chose to teach him a lesson by writing all his inheritance off to me as soon as I was born. I think that’s one of the reasons why my father punished me when I was young. As punishment to my grandfather, my father didn’t let him ever see me, so I never got to meet him. Not once."
"Oh, Blaze." I whispered, heart aching.
"The will he left me was impenetrable, and very secure. My grandfather died when I was ten, and I believed my father was the one behind it."
