Jules’ pov

Blaze’s curiosity was clearly piqued because he turned around till he was facing me fully this time. I kept my eyes solely on his face, refusing me let my eyes pan lower because I knew he was still hard.

"A dream? What was it about?" He inquired and I hesitated for a moment before responding, letting the dream materialize in my mind.

"It- it felt so real, so fucking real. I was alone, the entire place looked like something out of a fairytale. The background changed a bunch of times, but what actually happened in the dream that I found jarring, was that I was able to use my magic in it." I admitted quietly, watching as Blaze digested all that I was saying.

"Did anything else happen?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Not really. You showed up after I was all alone there for a long while, and you were clad in black. You looked like you didn’t recognize me and that felt bad in the dream, so I told you that you’re my fated mates in the dream, more like the words got ripped from my throat..." I explained, blinking slowly as I spoke and Blaze hummed this time.

"Was there a waterfall there?" He asked and I nodded at once. There was a large waterfall, that was the waterfall whereby I saw my reflection there and realized I was clad in white and had my natural hair on me.

"And you were clad in white, while I in black?" Blaze continued, his forehead marred with a few foldes and I slowly nodded in response while confusion slowly bloomed in my mind over how he was getting all of this right.

"You used magic to rise in the air as well, right? Like a fairy..." He continued and my eyes widened this time as I slowly nodded.

"Then you got ripped away after telling me that we’re fated mates."

This time, I was beyond confused but Blaze didn’t seem to be worried.

"How did you –" I began to speak but trailed off when he hummed and reached out to brush my hair out of my face.

"I had this same dream the second time after I met you, that was how I was certain that we’re fated mates." He revealed and my mouth fell open, shock filling up my veins.

"Oh." I whispered, feeling a large amount of awe. My eyes were widened as I leaned towards him and continued.

"So this dream... it’s the dream I was told I’m gonna get which would make me certain that you’re indeed my fated mate?" I whispered, mind reeling. When Andrian told me about this, I didn’t think I’d be able to get this dream with my powers still locked away, so I never saw it coming in any way.

"I’m still blown away though. So we had like the exact same dream from different perspectives and at different timelines, which leaves me wondering if this dream is gonna one day happen in real life, or..." I ended up trailing off as my mind slowly got flooded with worry because I just remembered what happened at the end of the dream. I got ripped away by an invisible force.

What does that even mean?

Blaze tugged me across his laps, wrapping his arms around my sides and I felt myself melt into his chest.

"I know what you’re thinking, and I want you to stop thinking about it." He breathed out but I pulled away from his chest a little to say something but he shook his head.

"I had the same dream, bunny. I remember what happened at the end of it, but I want you to know that it’s never gonna happen. We’re gonna figure this shit out, whatever it is." As he spoke, his hands massaged my sides a little and most of my worries fell off my shoulders.

"What if it’s some kind of prophecy?" I whispered, fear temporarily gripping my chest. "You didn’t recognize me in the dream, what if something happens in the future and you- and you forget about me?"

My voice broke at the end of the question and I tried to stop myself from growing fully hysteric at once by taking in a deep breath.

Blaze pulled me off his chest and cupped my cheeks with his hands. "You’re overthinking this, bunny. That’s never gonna happen. Why the hell would I forget you? That’s never gonna happen, okay? This dream might not be a prophecy after all, it might be something else entirely... like the past or something."

My eyes widened and I grasped his wrists. "You think that could be our pasts?" I whispered and he hummed while huffing.

"Of course. We could be past lovers, don’t you think so? I feel like I gave up my life for you or something close to that in the past, that should explain why I was instantly smitten with you in this world." He explained, sounding really serious and my mouth dropped open, thoughts scattering around in my mind.

"T- that’s not a good thing." I mumbled, while trying to consider if we might really be past lovers. "Wondering if you might have given your life for me in the past is nuts. If that really happened, it means I killed myself right after. There’s no way I’d keep on living with you being dead, past or present."

Blaze was silent at first before breathing out a small chuckle. "Why do you look so surprised? You think we really couldn’t be past lovers? You think I can’t give my life for you?" He asked and i felt my heart hammer against my chest.

"We could have been past lovers, I- I don’t doubt that, even though that sounds really wild. But, about you giving your life for me, I- I don’t want that, I’d never want that. If we had been past lovers, I’m sure I’d have never agreed to that. That’s insane for me to even think about. Please don’t ever say that again, let it never be an option for you to consider giving up your life for me."

"What if you’re in the line of death and I decide to die in your place?" He asked, brows arched.

I pursed my lips as I responded, eyes locked with his. "Let me die instead."
