Jules’ pov

Blaze refers to me as his mate frequently, and it always manages to make me feel flustered. However this time, knowing that we were now mated, made every feeling of within my body to feel extremely heightened.

His eyes were boring into mine and I was finding it hard to breathe properly the more I remained trapped underneath his body. I exhaled slowly and tilted my head sideways and exposing the side of my throat to his hungry gaze, my teeth catching on my bottom lip as my heartbeat quickened.

He was silent for long seconds but I could feel his eyes zeroed in on the mark which was throbbing and feeling prickly right now. When his fingers tangled in my hair and tugged my head sideways even more, a whimper bubbled in my throat, stomach filling up with heat at once.

The tip of his nose grazed my ear, grazing the edge of my lobe and the spot behind my ear that had my eyes fluttering a little. He sucked an audible breath in as his nose trailed down the side of my throat. My breath hitched in my throat when his breath fanned across the mark which felt like it was being charged. His nose grazed over the mark featherlightly and a gasp spilled past my throat at the amount of shivers that rolled down my spine.

"You smell like mine." His voice was thick and heavy with emotions as he spoke, sound rumbling against my skin and I gasped, heartbeat accelerating again. I tighten my hold in the sheets and blinked at the roof.

"Now you’re mated to me, officially... which means you’ll always have my scent on you wherever you go. Scent blockers wouldn’t be able to mute my scent on you ever again." As he spoke, his lips lightly grazed across the mark and I panted, arching off the bed a little as a rush of heat began to flow through my insides.

"Anyone who comes to you would be able to tell that you’re now mated to me, you won’t be able to hide it. As we return back to school, we’re returning as mates, and you’d always be under my care. As your mate, I’d always protect you and keep you safe no matter what. No one would be able to mess with you in school this time as soon as they get a whiff of my scent on you."

His hold in my hair tightened a fraction and I gasped as he slid his tongue across the mark, making me let out a stuttered gasp as I arched off the bed while my eyes fluttered close. As soon as his tongue made contact with the mark, it was like it got charged with sharp currents, sending a sizzling spark through it, which rushed through my entire body.

"Do you like that? Knowing everyone would be aware of whom you belong to once we’re back in school?" He asked as he kissed against my collarbone and I panted as I struggled to focus on his question.

Of course I loved it. There’s nothing I’d like more than that. The only reason why I wore scent blockers sometimes whenever I had his scent on, was because it attracted me a lot of attention and I always like avoiding attention as best as I could.

But now, I know that on returning back to Carnivals after being mated to him, I wouldn’t have to worry about people messing with me. I know that the attention I’d be attracting to myself would be tenfolds, but that’s a compromise I’m willing to accept, especially since I know that can’t be avoided any longer. After the amount of times Blaze and I have made public appearances throughout the past weeks, I was gonna be the center of attention on returning back to school, mated to Blaze or not.

I exhaled slowly and nodded my head. "I do, I love that everyone can be aware of who I belong to hence forth." I admitted, biting on my bottom lip as heat filled my cheeks a little while my chest expanded with a rush of heat. That was nothing but the truth, I really do love the fact that I belonged to him.

"And who do you belong to?" He pulled away to stare into my eyes this time.

"To you." I whispered in response, blinking slowly and instead of saying something else, he leaned down and took my lips in a searing kiss. My eyes fluttered close and I reached for his biceps, holding on to him as he licked into my mouth and tangled his tongue with mine.

When he pulled away, I was panting hard, and my head tilted sideways on instincts when he lowered his head. His lips closed around the mark and he sucked hard on the mark, making me let out a breathy whine as pleasure sharply coursed through my veins.

I thought that was just a one time thing, but it seems like the mark is always gonna be sensitive to his touch.

He nipped on the bite and I mewled, trembling underneath him as he finally pulled away. His thumb gently glided over the spit slicked bite and I gasped as sparks shot through the mark.

"It’s gonna take a few days to heal." He breathed out as he finally pulled his thumb away, trailing it across my collarbone and over my hard nipple. I sucked in a sharp breath as he rolled his thumb down on the nipple for a few seconds.

"You’re sore, right?" He suddenly asked and color flooded my cheeks as I nodded, watching as he hummed while his eyes glide down the rest of my body. His hand followed his eyes, sliding over my stomach and pausing on my hip. He squeezed on my hips for a moment before sliding off my body and sitting up.

"I guess we should take a shower then." He echoed and an exhale escaped my lungs as I tried to regulate my heartbeat as I rolled into a sitting position, trying to ignore how aroused I currently am.

Before Blaze could get off the bed, I reached for his wrist. He paused and turned towards me, brows arched a little.

"You aren’t trying to beg me to fuck you, are you? Because I won’t, not when you’re sore." He drawled and I spluttered while shaking my head.

"Did you wanted to tell me something else?" He asked moments later and I nodded, biting at the inside of my left cheek for a moment.

"I- I had a dream."
