Chapter 158: Blaze meets Andrian
Jules pov
Blaze accompanying me to go see Andrian was the last thing I expected to happen. That was the last way I expected this day to go.
Him opening up to me shocked me the most because I never anticipated it to be to this extent. I’ve always wished he’d open up to me, but I never expected it to be today of all days that he’d pour it all out to me.
I also never imagined that he went through all of that while growing up. After Kai had told me he was locked away a lot while growing up, I had been undoubtedly curious but I never expected that it was like that, I never expected it to be that horrifying.
It perfectly explained most of his behavior. It explained why everyone claimed he was deranged. Who wouldn’t be affected mentally after living through a childhood like that?
For the first time in my entire life, I was taking a train.
After I provided the address of Andrian to Blaze, he suggested we take the train and there exactly what we did.
In the train, we sat beside each other and held hands. I wished we were back in our room right now instead of on the way to see Andrian, because after everything today, there’s nothing I want more than to be in his arms.
I wasn’t sure of how Andrian was gonna react to seeing Blaze arrive with me. I didn’t even know what he had planned. During the call, he sounded very worked up and his voice had been sharp, like he didn’t remember to keep his voice soft like he usually does.
After we alighted the train, we trekked towards the office, hands in each other’s and it made my heart feel really warm. I wanted to say something but I didn’t know what to say.
I wanted to ask him more questions about his childhood but I also didn’t want him to start thinking about it again, especially now that I know how much trauma he went through. It’s just gonna be cruel of me to ask him about it knowing that was gonna make him start thinking about it all over again.
Thinking about him being sexually assaulted as a child made me feel sick to my stomach and I shoved the thought away because it was seriously making my stomach turn.
We stepped into the building and up the stairs to his office.
"You ready?" He asked as he dropped my hands and I nodded as I knocked twice.
The door got pulled open and Andrian stood in the doorway, eyes widening comically as soon as he noticed who I was with.
He blinked once and then he awkwardly cleared his throat while a hard smile formed on his face.
"Oh, you brought company." He breathed out, eyes locking with mine for a moment and I nodded as Blaze took my head in his.
"I hope you don’t mind. Can we come in?" Blaze’s voice filled the atmosphere in the familiar rumble and I watched as Andrian awkwardly chuckled as he stepped back and let us in.
I stepped into the office with Blaze and we sat down beside each other. Andrian asked if he could offer anything and Blaze declined while his gaze wandered around.
"Can we talk?" Andrian asked me from across the room and I nodded.
"Of course."
"Alone." He added and I stiffened just as Blaze’s hand tightened on mine for a moment.
I hesitated for a moment before nodding and rising to my feet, telling Blaze that I’d be right back as I accompanied him through the door leading into a smaller room.
As soon as Andrian closed the door, he turned sharp eyes towards me.
"What are you doing? Why is he here?"
I bit on my bottom lip as I shrugged a little. "We were on a date before you called. I told you we were really doing something together before you called."
He began to pace while pulling on his hair a little. "You were supposed to come alone and not with him." He snapped and I secretly rolled my eyes, already fed up with playing clueless but still having to keep the charade up.
"He offered to come and I didn’t think it was a problem." I mumbled and he cursed underneath his breath.
"It’s a serious problem. He doesn’t know about your real identity, does he? Then he shouldn’t be here." He reminded me, voice sharp and face hard.
I let out a long sigh and shifted my weight around a little.
"I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking." I mumbled.
"You really weren’t. You were supposed to show up last night, why didn’t you?" He demanded and I sighed.
"I was with Blaze, and..."
"Blaze, Blaze, Blaze." He stated. "Is he all you think about now? Is he all you care about? You don’t care about your reason for enrolling into that school in the first place?" He demanded and I remained silent, feeling extremely disgusted that he still believed I was still unaware of most of his motives at this point.
"Of course I do." I finally breathed out.
"If you do, you have to show up whenever I ask you to, and alone. You should stop spending too much time with Blaze as well, this is for your own good, okay?"
I pursed my lips and reluctantly nodded. "Okay, Andrian."
He began to say something else when a knock sounded on the door, making him instantly stiffen. When he pulled the door open, Blaze was at the doorway, peering into the room.
"Sorry to interrupt but can I borrow my mate?" He asked Andrian who coughed awkwardly and stepped aside for me to walk towards Blaze.
Blaze led me back to the couch and wrapped his arm around my shoulder once I was seated beside him.
"So, you know I’m his fated mate, right?" Blaze asked Andrian who was currently moving a bunch of things around on his table.
"Of course. It’s nice to finally meet you." Andrian breathed out. He stepped forward and offered Blaze his hand, but Blaze only stared at it without accepting it.
"I assume you know who I am because well, everyone does." Blaze continued and Andrian coughed again while nodding.
"Er... your highness..."
Blaze waved him off. "Aw, there’s no need for that. I just wanted to confirm."
"I’m glad to have finally met you, Andrian. You see, I care about my mate so much. I don’t want anything to happen to him. Ever." Blaze rose to his feet as he spoke. He was taller than Andrian so he had to stare down at him.
"I believe you also share the same need since you’re his uncle. I believe we’d get to see a lot of each other in the coming future because of that. Keep up the great work and I’d do the same." Blaze held his hand out this time and Andrian chuckled awkwardly as he shook the offered hand.
"Of course." He agreed, gaze darting towards me for a moment.
"So... there’s one more thing though." Blaze added and I tensed up a little.
"You got him a new phone, a beautiful one at that... but I mistakenly broke it a few days ago. I hope you don’t mind."
Andrian chuckled and shook his head. "Of course not. Mistakes happen, I’ll just get him another one."
Blaze waved him off while speaking. "There’s no need for that. The phone he’s currently using doesn’t seem to have any problems. I don’t think he minds it."
Andrian glanced over at me and I shook my head as I got to my feet. "I really don’t mind it."
Andrian clapped his hands together. "That’s settled then.

On our way back, the shy was already extremely dark.
"He was definitely pissed." I breathed out and Blaze snorted.
"It was quite obvious. He’s a shitty actor."
"Do you think he’s gonna make a move or something?" I asked and Blaze hummed.
"I believe so. I goaded him on purpose because I want him to reveal his cards as fast as possible. The earlier, the better." Blaze explained and I couldn’t agree more with his logic.
"I wonder how Kim is fairing. Do you think he’s really gonna die tonight?" I asked after a few minutes and Blaze snorted.
"Of course not. Kim is a fighter. He’d undoubtedly be able to pull through."
