Chapter 134: iii

Jules’ pov

I huffed out a sigh as Blaze began to kiss down the line of my throat, shivering a little as I buried my fingers in his dark curls, it instant reminded me of how he had made me grab his hair and hold until it while I rode his face. Thinking about that right now didn’t help matters in any way, it only made me feel breathless to the very core.

It took a few more moments for what he said about my friends to register within me.

"They aren’t dumb." I mumbled before whimpering as he scraped the sharp edge of his blunt fangs across my collarbone.

He chuckled against my throat before slightly pulling away so he could stare into my face.

"Oh but they are." He announced, a serious expression across his face right now.

I blinked a few times to get the hazy feeling of lust out of my mind as his words sank into my head.

"They’re not." I argued, knowing I was currently sounding defensive and that was because it felt like I needed to do that, because that was what friends do, right?

Blaze brushed my hair out of my face, fingers slicing across my nose and lower to settle on my chin. He had a lazy expression on right now as he regarded me. It took a few more moments for him to finally speak.

"Alright. Perhaps not the beta, but the omega is pretty dumb,"

He was currently talking about Taylor.

I breathed out a sigh before blinking slowly, I was currently unsure of what to say next. After the entire interview I read in the group chat, I wasn’t sure of what to think of Taylor. But that was why we were meeting up, to have a conversation like normal people were supposed to.

Taylor might have his bad sides, like how he never bothered to hide that he was trying to pair me up with Kai. But he was the first person who approached me on my first day of resumption. Without me being attached to his hips back then, I’d have undoubtedly lost my life that same week.

"What makes you say that?" I ended up asking instead of defending him again, because it sounded like there was a reason Blaze believed he was currently right.

Blaze’s head tilted sideways as he stared at me for a few more moments before finally speaking.

"How much do you care about this omega?" He asked instead of responding to my question and I shrugged slowly.

"A lot, I guess. He and Josh are the only friends I made on getting to this school." I explained and this time, Blaze threw his arm across my waist and tugged me close to him till only a few inches separated our faces.

"So, are you saying we aren’t friends?" His voice had a teasing lilt in it but I still felt my heartbeat accelerate a little.

"We’re friends too." I ended up mumbling after a few seconds and Blaze hummed sd he tugged me closer.

"Friends that kiss." He drawled out, lips lightly moving against mine as he spoke and I felt my heart flutter around in my chest.

"Friends that kiss." I agreed and he brushed his nose against mine, making me feel tingly to the pits of my stomach.

"You’re not allowed to kiss your other friends though. I’m the only exemption." He spoke up after a few moments, a serious expression across his face.

My mind briefly travelled to Elio at once.

"Okay." I ended up squealing out while my cheeks colored a little.

Blaze only hummed before lightly pressing a kiss against my lips, I felt my stomach do flip flops at once.

"Friends aren’t supposed to kiss each other though." I mumbled, watching as he chuckled before grasping my chin and thumbing my bottom lip.

"Well, it’s a good thing we’re fated mates, no?" He drawled, eyes twinkling and I nodded while feeling extremely breathlessly. He gave me a quick, toe curling kiss after that before pulling away.

I loved it when he refer to us as fated mates.

I loved it way more than I was supposed to, way more than I could have ever imagined.

In the past, I dreaded the thought of being fated mates with him, but right now, there was nothing I loved more than that.

Because of how much I loved being fated mates with him, I refused to let myself think about what Andrian told me about how this kind of fated mates pairing works.

To be fair, since the moment I began to feel weary about him, I had decided to let myself think about him, because the thought of him actually being on the enemies side.

"Why did you say Taylor was dumb though?" I asked before I could forget and Blaze shrugged a shoulder.

"It’s not important, bunny." He responded, and if that was supposed to make me stop thinking about it, then it succeeded on doing the complete opposite.

It was like Blaze read my mind in the next moment because he rolled his eyes and reached out to stroke my cheek.

"Stop thinking about it, bunny. This omega isn’t important enough to occupy your mind." He said seriously and that was what made me conclude that he seriously didn’t like Taylor.

That bordered me and made me feel confused uneasy, because I could remember how much Taylor hates Blaze as well.

Which was what prompted my next question. "Did you guys once one each other personally?"

My heart slowed to a stop as I asked the question and I watched as Blaze blinked once before laughing a little.

"What? No! We don’t. Surely you didn’t believe that I used to fuck every omega out there, did you?" He asked, eyebrows arched snd I shook my head while my cheek flushed a little.

Granted, I thought that at first, way before we began to have anything to do with each other.

But after witnessing how everyone were so scared of him, it made me discard that thought without hesitation.

"Good, because I wouldn’t even be able to. He’s not my type to begin with." He continued and I perked up this time.

"What’s your type?" I asked and I watched as the side of his lips twisted as he leaned down and lightly bit at my cheek.

"You’re my type." He responded and I frowned at him, because that was what I half expected him to say.

"It’s the truth." He continued and I found myself huffing and rolling my eyes.

I attempted to roll out of the bed but his arm wrapped around my naked waist, tugging me against his chest which vibrated with laughter.

"What’s your type, bunny?" He asked and I blinked slowly, because I never actually thought of that before.

"Um... someone nice?" I began and he laughed again, an incredulous expression across his face right now.

"You’re literally with me right now." He reminded me and I grinned while nodding in response.

"Well, you’re nice to me." I mumbled with a shrug and this time, he laughed again.

But it was the truth. Blaze had been more than nice to me. Nice was me putting it extremely lightly.

He began to palm my ribs and waist but before he could do anything, my phone began to ring.

"Don’t answer it." He spoke against my chest which he was littering with kisses and I shuddering a little while struggling to not lose focus right now.

"It could be important though."

Blaze licked across my nipple and I whimpered.

"Or it’s not." Blaze spoke as he blew hot breath across my nipple and I whimpered again.

The call ended up going unanswered, but then it came back in again and this time, I couldn’t ignore the shrill anymore. I grabbed the blanket with me as I walked towards my phone and accepted the call which was from Taylor, and that was when I remembered that I had kept them waiting this whole time.

"Hey guys." I started after accepting the call and at once, Taylor began to rant about my tardiness and lack of presence.

Blaze’s chest pressed against my back and he began to slid his hand underneath the blanket and I squeaked as I struggled to hold unto it tight.

"What was that?" Taylor demanded just as Blaze began to suck at the side of my throat and I panted for a few seconds, voice unsteady when I spoke next.

"It’s nothing, Tay. I slipped and almost fell." I breathed out and Taylor didn’t bother to pretend to not have figured out that I was lying.

"Are you getting down and dirty with Blaze right now? While being on the call? Jules?! When did you become like this? The is why you delayed us so much today?"

I cursed within myself as I tried shoving Blaze away but I felt him start to slide to his knees while kissing a line down my back and tugging down the blanket which I have wrapped around me.

"I’ll be down soon, Taylor. See you soon!" I called out and abruptly ended the call.
