Chapter 111: Confrontation

Jules’ pov

I stood before the door and tentatively knocked on the door while my heart pounded away. I was beyond nervous, and it was because of a lot of things, not just one thing.

The highest reason on that list being because of how we had parted ways today at early noon. Whereby I had heard into Andrian’s office hoping that I’d get some sort of permission and reassurance from him that it was alright for me to confide in Blaze and come clean to him. I didn’t count on him asking me to do the complete opposite of that.

Which was why I was really nervous right now, because I didn’t know how I’m gonna act in his presence, especially after he called me out about hiding something from me and me apologizing to me. Now, I couldn’t try to take that back and claim that I’m not hiding anything from him, he’s never gonna buy that, he’s way too smart to believe that.

Another reason why I’m currently nervous is because of the time.

I’m late.

He wouldn’t be pleased about this one bit.

I knocked again after a dw moments and the sound of the door getting unlocked made me suck in a sharp breath, chest tightening around my heart from how nervous I was currently feeling.

I exhaled deeply and reminded myself to stop feeling so nervous because despite all what Andrian believed, Blaze wasn’t gonna hurt me.

Witt that thought sitting at the front of my mind, I pulled the door open and my eyes settled on Blaze who was standing on the other side of the door.

My mouth dried up as my eyes trailed up, from the top of his low pants, over his bare, glistening chest, all the way to his face where a blank expression was sitting.

I let out a shaky exhale as I blinked a couple of times.

When I spoke, my voice came out scratchy.

"Hi." I breathed out and in the next moment, a frown settled across his chiseled face as soon as his eyes lowered from my face and zeroed in on my throat.

I let out a gasp and reached for my throat which was undoubtedly starting to bruise but Blaze’s hand clamped on my wrist which he used in tugging me in and then the door was being pushed close behind me. In the next moment, I was being trapped against the closed door.

Blaze had my head tilted sideways and I sucked in a sharp breath as I felt the tip of his nose trail down the side of my throat, and after a few seconds, his grip on my chin tightened right before he pulled away, a dark look on his face.

"Fucking Alexander." He swore as he looked me up and down, right before his fingers trailed over the other side of my throat which was hurting.

"That bastard." He growled and I shivered as he massaged his thumb against a spot on my throat.

"Did he hurt you anywhere else?" He asked and I shook my head at once, because he really didn’t.

He pulled away after a moment and tugged me along with him, through the passage and into the kitchen.

He looked through the fridge for something cold, which he wrapped with a soft cloth and lightly pressed it against the side of my throat.

"I’m gonna have a talk with him tonight." His voice was filled with so much anger as he spoke and I shivered again. I bit on my bottom lip for a moment before speaking.

"Are you gonna beat him up?" I tentatively asked and Blaze snorted before shaking his head.

"No, bunny. I’m gonna have a talk with him, a talk which would take him weeks to recover from." He responded and I swallowed emptily before slowly nodding my head in response.

I didn’t fully understand what he meant, but if I’m to guess, I’d assume he still meant he was going to see him later tonight to beat him up.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by Blaze hoisting me up and placing me on the counter, temporarily knocking the breath out of my lungs.

He retrieved the cold pack and placed it on the side, and then he took a look at my throat and his eyes got filled with so much anger again. He looked so angry and I kept feeling like I’m supposed to apologize even though what happened to me tonight wasn’t my fault in any way.

"What did he plan on doing to you if Kim didn’t show up?" He asked and I exhaled slowly and struggled to meet his gaze as I responded.

"H- he uh, he said he was gonna make me suck his–" I ended up trailing off to exhale slowly.

"He seemed really angry, and he refused to let me go despite how much I pleaded. He didn’t let Kim take me at first but ended up agreeing at the end." I breathed out a sigh once I was done and Blaze hummed while nodding slowly.

"I knew Kim was the perfect person for this task." He muttered while nodding again, and then his eyes trailed over my face and I gulped as a shiver roll down my spine, breath stuttering in my throat when he easily parted my thighs with his hands and stepped between my parted thighs till there was barely any gap left between us.

"You were late tonight." He commented as his fingers tilted my chin up and I bit at the inside of my cheek as I blinked a few times. My heart was racing and his hand on my left lap tightened a little.

I attempted to speak but he continued, making me swallow my words down.

"You’re also hiding something from me."

My heart pounded sharply against my chest and I swallowed emptily, unsure of what to say next.

He continued after a few moments, eyes searching mine.

"I expect the two of us to talk about that tonight."
