Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL] -
Chapter 100: Shock
Chapter 100: Shock
Jules’ pov
I couldn’t sit still.
I was nervous as hell. Blaze had insisted on dropping me off at Andrian’s office and that was making me extremely nervous, for reasons which I couldn’t place my fingers on.
When Blaze and I made our way to the car, Roy was in the front seat. It was like somehow, he knew the air between Blaze and I wasn’t the way it was throughout our ride here. All he took was a single glance at Blaze’s face and that was it.
He didn’t try to tease me or make any comment, only asking Blaze where he wanted to go.
Blaze asked me to give Roy the address and after I did that, silence began to stretch out between us, one which was interrupted by my shaking legs because I just couldn’t sit still.
I wondered what was happening back at home, and if people actually believed that I managed to murder a whole lot of powerful magical beings.
That was so ridiculous to think about because I was nothing but an amateurish warlock who was still struggling to get a hang of my powers potentials because my entire life got turned upside down in the blink of an eye.
I let out a sigh just as the car slowly pulled up before Andrian’s office. It was a large building, and Andrian’s office was at the top of it, on the top floor.
I brushed my hair out of my face before turning towards Blaze and clearing my throat. My heart was starting to thump again as I attempted to speak.
"Uh... I’ll be off now." I whispered quietly, voice wavering a little because of how nervous I was currently feeling.
Blaze let out a hum, he was leaning against the back rest and his arm was stretched out across the top of the headrest. He regarded me silently for a few moments and I desperately wished I could read his mind at this very moment.
"Give me a kiss first." He finally called out and my breath stutter in the middle of my chest, eyes widening a little before darting towards Roy for a moment. He was staring out of the window, probably trying to pretend he wasn’t listening in.
I cleared my throat slowly, stomach fluttering and flipping around as I shifted towards him, closing the distance between us and reaching for the side of his face with my palm. Stubbles pricked my palm and I shivered and swallowed emptily, sucking in a deep breath because his eyes was boring into mine, and in such close proximity, it was like he was staring at my soul.
I licked my bottom lip for a moment before letting my eyes fall close and then I gently brushed my lips against his, stifling a tiny sound from the tingles that gathered in my lips almost immediately. I let my lips linger against his little before slowly pulling away.
When I blinked my eyes open, he had a fierce look in his eyes and I stiffled a squeak, but it ended up escaping my throat when he suddenly grasped my chin and tugged me forward till there was barely any distance between us once again.
My heart was racing so fast, I feared it was gonna tear out from the middle of my chest.
"Be careful." He finally spoke, voice gravelly and I shuddered as I was finally able to pull away.
"Okay." I whispered in response, mind all over the place and heart thumping against my ribs once again.
After gathering myself together as best as I could, I stepped out of the car and stood in the same spot until the car pulled away.
I let out a long exhale, heart thumping and knees wobbly. I remained outside for a few minutes until I was certain I have gotten myself under control before finally heading into the large building, straight to the elevator and all the way to the top floor.
Andrian pulled the door open for me and I flopped into a chair almost immediately and let out a long and loud sigh.
Andrian let out a wry chuckle as he regarded me from the doorway. "You alright?"
I nodded slowly and sat up to shrug a little. "Yeah, I am."
He wrinkled his nose a little as he walked back to his table. "You reek of a werewolf, I remember this scent on you. Is this that werewolf? The one you believe is your fated mate?" He asked and that was when I realized that indeed, i reeked of Blaze.
I blushed a little as I cleared my throat and slowly nodded in response.
"Yeah, it’s him."
He let out another chuckle before starting to type on his laptop.
"Blaze, right? Prince Blaze."
I nodded once again and Andrian leaned into the seat behind his desk, and then he began to speak after a few moments. "Are you guys close?"
I bit on my bottom lip, trying to surpass the smile that threatened to spill out.
"I believe so. That’s one of the reasons why I came to see you today." I revealed and he perked up.
"Oh, yeah? Concerning what?"
"I want to reveal who I really am to him." I announced and his eyes widened just as he leaned forward in the next moment.
"You can’t." He responded firmly and I flinched a little, mouth slacking a little.
"I can’t?" I echoed and he hummed as he pulled out of his seat, bringing his laptop along with him.
"That’s like the worst thing you can ever do in your situation. Your life is already at enough risk, if you do this, you’d be giving the enemies something really solid to work with."
I blinked a couple of times in confusion as I puffed out a deep breath. I shifted in my seat a little before leaning forward.
"You’re right. It’s stupid and ridiculous. But I do want to let him know though, I don’t want to keep lying to his face, it makes me feel sick each time. I’m ready to come clean to him." I breathed out, chest expanding a couple of times.
Andrian stopped before me and handed me his open laptop, and when I turned it around, I was met with the same image I saw back at the restaurant some time ago.
I was about to tell him about how I saw this image just when I had been with Blaze in that response, just as Andrian began to speak.
"What if I tell you that Blaze’s father is the person behind this news report making its way to this country?"
