Captive Mate BL -
Chapter 80: + - 80+
Chapter 80: +Chapter 80+
Accusing Mafia King Asher’s ’mistress’ of being the missing heir was ridiculous if they insisted that ’he’ wasn’t.
It wasn’t like they could subject Caspian to some kind of test, they just needed to get footage of him admitting to the truth.
His brow furrowed as he thought hard of a method that would work.
Caspian would have his guard up against the three of them, and he would rather not get outsiders involved in this.
"I have a plan," He announced to his mate.
"And what is it?" Tammy asked patiently.
"Dahlia," He said shortly.
Tammy’s brown eyes widened, "That could actually work. But how do we get her here? She’s been gone for years."
"Leave that all to me." Warren leaned back in his seat, his black eyes focused.

It felt strange to walk around the Pack house while it was dinner time. Caspian usually found a corner to stay in until he could get his meal, which wasn’t often.
It felt like they were sneaking out, the foyer devoid of people.
It had been the same when they were first ushered in and he wondered if Alpha Warren had put the Pack members up to that or if they had just been freaked out by Asher.
Caspian had grabbed a jacket to wear over his top, taking one for Asher as well.
Regardless of how quickly the Alpha had gotten better last time, he would prefer if he didn’t fall sick at all.
Asher looked amused by the gesture but he took the jacket without protest.
There were a few people in the parking lot but they went out of their way to avoid them.
Caspian often forgot just how forbidding Asher must be to average people, smiling his thanks to him when he held open the car’s door for him.
"Is there anywhere you want to go?" Asher asked after getting into the car.
"Bert’s Diner," He spoke without thinking, "Actually, I don’t think that’s a great idea after all."
Asher’s gaze was sharp as he studied him, "Why not?"
"I used to go there all the time with my parents, and Old Bert, the restaurant owner, would immediately see right through my wig." He said sheepishly.
Caspian had his phone out as he spoke, searching online for a suitable restaurant so he missed the look in Asher’s eyes.
"Why don’t we go to Stardust instead? It’s new so I should be fine." He flashed the screen at him.
"Yeah, let’s," Asher absently agreed, his gaze focused on Caspian instead of the phone.
Caspian beamed, "I’ll handle the directions," He leaned back, pushing his now long hair out of his face to see better.
Asher was starting to feel like he was the one doing a bad job of keeping himself together.
Although he had told Caspian he would listen, the Omega never went into details about his past.
Even while they were in the middle of it, he only gave out necessary information.
It wasn’t his place to push so he would keep waiting and watching until Caspian was ready to talk about it.
Stardust was a little trendy restaurant right in the middle of the town, the place bustling with customers.
Caspian frowned when they were parked in the lot, looking out the tinted windows.
"Should we have gone somewhere else? There’s a lot of people here." He murmured in concern.
Asher was already out of his seat, opening Caspian’s door, "Even better, we’ll blend in."
The Alpha wore a leather jacket, an outfit that Lucy had slipped into Caspian’s bags for him.
It was the only normal jacket he had, the other options were hundreds of thousands of dollars in real fur.
"Is something on my face?" Asher interrupted his swooning.
It was only them that Caspian realized that Asher had had his hand out for a while now.
He sheepishly took the Alpha’s hand, "Your jacket looks great," He said for a lack of what to say.
Asher made an exasperated sound, "I’m not going to catch a cold again, it’s not even raining."
"Don’t jinx it," Caspian cautioned him, a satisfied smile on his face.
He held Asher’s hand as they headed for the restaurant. Moonstone was a small enough town that they didn’t need an appointment for a busy restaurant such as this one.
No one paid any special attention to them as they walked in and found a table in an empty corner.
Shortly after they sat, a uniformed waitress walked over with a notepad and a polite smile.
"Welcome to Stardust," She recited, handing them menus. "I’ll be back to take your orders."
Even with the circumstances surrounding them currently, it was nice to be out with Asher like this.
It almost felt like a date.
Despite how busy the restaurant was, they got their food in no time.
The hum of conversations around them faded into the background when he looked at Asher.
Caspian was relieved that this was the alternative to eating with the Pack, content to people watch and eat in companionable silence.
A toddler waddled up to their table, her eyes bright as she held out a chubby hand to Asher.
Asher had a piece of fry halfway to his mouth, and it was clear that was what she wanted, licking her lips like she could already imagine herself eating it.
"Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry about her," A young Omega hurried up to their table.
She wore a sundress and looked like she had had a couple of rough days.
"I looked away for a second and she was gone," The young mom continued to make up excuses.
"It’s perfectly fine," Caspian was quick to reassure her, "She was a welcome visitor..."
While he made small talk with the toddler’s mom, Asher had taken a fistful of fries and shoved it down the toddler’s pockets as it couldn’t fit in her hand.
"Asher!" Caspian scolded with wide eyes, stopping him from filling up the second pocket on her little overall.
Asher and the little toddler paused and looked over to him at that, wearing matching expressions.
