Captive Mate BL -
Chapter 79: + - 79+
Chapter 79: +Chapter 79+
They were supposedly mates but Noah didn’t even know his birth date or favorite color, they sounded like strangers to him.
Caspian went right to the bedroom then, flopping on the bed.
There was actually little for him to do, Asher and Jael were handling everything with ease, he just had to keep his act up.
It was hardly an act though, Caspian was just being himself, he was just saying the things he couldn’t before.
He sat up on the bed, tapping a foot in boredom. When would Asher be back?

Asher sat with his legs spread like it was his office and Warren was the one here to see him.
The Alpha was trying to get him to invest in Moonstone, and he was still waiting for the punchline to the bad joke.
Why would he help build up what was stolen from Caspian?
They would probably never know but the only reason their lives were spared was because they held important information.
Sending an assassin to wipe them out would have been extremely easy and untraceable.
He wouldn’t even be doing it to get Caspian’s position back, he had no use for it anymore.
"I’ve never considered that before," He said thoughtfully, "I’ll spend this weekend getting a very in-depth look at Moonstone to see if it’s worth it."
Warren sat up straighter at his expression of interest. "I’ll see to it personally that you have access to whatever you might need."
Asher smiled, it was all sharp teeth and menace, his hazel eyes flat. "I’ll take my leave if that’ll be all-"
"W-Wait," Warren shot to his feet as well, "I also wanted to discuss tomorrow’s tour plans with you..." He trailed off when his phone’s screen lit up, staring at it.
"But if you’re in a hurry, we can as well discuss that tomorrow," He eased up, equally flashing a shallow smile.
Asher didn’t wait after that, heading back to the room where he left Caspian waiting for him.
The door was harmlessly closed just like he left it, and he tried it, the door opening to an empty living room.
Asher’s blood pressure spiked at the sight of no one, coalescing terror staining his blood black.
All of that faded away when Caspian timidly walked into the living room, his curious expression brightening into a smile at the sight of him.
"That was quick," Caspian beamed, padding barefoot through the room to get to him.
Asher met him halfway, engulfing him in a hug too tight for him to breathe.
"W-Wait... Asher, you’re choking me out," He protested, smiling into the hug when he eased up.
"What brought this on?" He asked, his smile clear in his voice.
"I thought you were gone," Asher spoke when he was certain his voice wouldn’t give away how much he had been affected.
Caspian snorted, "Like I’d let them take me without a fight," He boasted, waddling to the bedroom while still in Asher’s arms because the Alpha wouldn’t let go.
He didn’t mind, falling on the bed with Asher in a tangle of limbs.
"So what did Alpha Warren want with you?" Caspian asked into the quiet of the bedroom.
"Nothing important. It was only a distraction," Asher replied, his hands finding their way underneath Caspian’s top.
For a few more minutes, nothing was said. The empty room filled with the sounds of their quiet breathing.
"Noah was here," Caspian broke the silence again, his hands in Asher’s hair.
He kept talking after breaking the silence feeling Asher tense up beside him.
"I was honestly expecting Luna Tammy to be the one to show up," He rambled. "It was obvious that he was sent by her to smoke me out but even though I had my mask off, he could barely recognize me."
Asher relaxed then, "Jael did say he was a little stupid."
Caspian chuckled at that, he could see that now. But when he still lived with him, Noah was just scary, he was much bigger and he was loud.
And it felt like he was always holding himself from getting physical, even while they were in high school.
Caspian doubted that even he would get away with outright bullying the heir to the Pack. Even if the heir to the Pack in question wasn’t treated like one.
It was nice to just lie down with Asher like this but it was starting to get dark and they still hadn’t gotten dinner.
Lucy wouldn’t be happy to hear that.
"We should go eat," He raised his head up to say.
Asher quickly wore a poker face to hide his expression, sitting up as well. "Sure."

Tammy waited till the Mafia King went past before she headed to her mate’s home office.
Asher Knight was an enigma, he was unpredictable... and that was dangerous.
"Noah couldn’t find out anything," She reported to him, sitting demurely on a chair.
Warren had a troubled expression on his face, "They were mated," He reminded, "He should be the one person able to shake the facade."
Tammy looked almost nervous, "He was even saying that it couldn’t be him."
Warren’s expression darkened, "Is he stupid?"
"He’s your son," Tammy cautioned him.
Warren sighed, "I just can’t figure out what they’re trying to achieve by agreeing to this."
Tammy subtly rolled her eyes, "If you just gave up on that Omega, we wouldn’t be in this trouble."
Warren’s eyes grew cold at her words, it was clear that this was an old argument.
"We’re not criminals, Tam," He said sharply, "It was acceptable when he was mated to our son."
"Whatever helps you sleep at night, honey," She muttered, spite ringing in her lilting voice.
"Look, we just need to make Caspian reveal himself and use the authority of the High Council to keep him here and get rid of the Mafia King attached to him."
Tammy lightly patted her perfect bun, "Fine, but if this blows up, it’ll be all your fault."
Warren said nothing to that, this scenario had sounded straightforward on paper.
If Mafia King Asher brought Caspian with him, they would easily be able to get him back.
But there was nothing straightforward about this outcome...
