Captive Mate BL -
Chapter 61: + - 61+
Chapter 61: +Chapter 61+
Asher broke off the kiss first, stealing one last kiss before rising to his feet. "I’m going to take a shower."
Caspian silently watched Asher walk off, his knees pressed together.
There was no reason for him to take a shower as well but he kind of expected Asher to invite him regardless.
He watched the sun set alone, not moving from his spot until Asher came back out much later.
"Jael called while you were asleep," He said, propping up his cheek with a small hand.
Asher’s poker face was solid, wet skin gleaming in the warm lighting of the room as he dried his hair.
"He did? What did he say?"
Caspian’s stare was fixed on Asher’s physique, shamelessly turning his whole body around to keep him in his line of sight.
"Um, that’s he’s going to shoot you in the foot if you get rid of your phone one more time."
Asher’s chuckle filled the room as he stepped into the closet. He was out again in no time, long hair damp, wearing nothing but low-slung sweatpants.
"Are you hungry?" He asked as he walked closer.
Caspian’s gaze dropped down his body, he was hungry alright. "Yes," He quietly answered.
They barely ever ate when they were together, he was looking forward to the aftermath.
Asher joined him on the couch after making the request for dinner to be brought, pulling him close right after.
They might not even get to eat dinner. Caspian went easily, beginning to feel a little warm in the shirt he wore - he needed to lose it.
A knock on the door interrupted the kiss, Asher’s hands slipping away from his waist as the maid walked in, much to his chagrin.
Asher’s shirt had opened quite a bit, making the oversized silk shirt slip down his slender shoulders.
The maid pushed in her tray, carefully arranging the food on the table in front of them.
She excused herself when she was done but the atmosphere was already ruined.
It didn’t help that Asher actually focused on the food, eating for the first time since he had met him.
Whenever they had a meal together Asher hardly ate, he mostly drank wine and watched him eat.
But this time, he did eat. Caspian couldn’t be mad at that, Asher eating heartily was a really satisfying sight.
He had no choice but to do the same, grumpy the entire time.
After dinner was over and the empty dishes cleared, Caspian still didn’t get what he wanted, Asher offering to watch a movie with him.
That was how he ended up in a possessive hold, Asher’s arms tight around him as the show they had settled on played on the screen.
It was like losing and winning at the same time. It was easy to sink into Asher’s arms, quickly getting over the fact that he had only gotten kisses when he expected more.
It wasn’t all bad, maybe even better. It was soothing to know that Asher would spend time with him even if it didn’t involve sex.
Plus the conversations they had while they watched movies were a decent substitute for sex.
Caspian didn’t remember falling asleep, waking up the next day to find himself tucked in bed.
It was still early, Asher’s scent clinging to his skin. He stretched in bed, tangling the covers with his legs.
Asher hadn’t been gone very long, and he wished he could have seen the Alpha first thing in the morning.
He took off Asher’s shirt before stepping into the bathroom, staring at the fading marks on his skin as he brushed his teeth at the sink.
Maybe what he needed to do was go on a simple walk or something, he needed to keep himself occupied.
Being stuck in Asher’s bedroom all day was driving him a little crazy. Maybe he would feel a little sex-crazy if he was occupied with something else.
Spending the entire day thinking about Asher probably did not help very much.
He forgot that he was essentially free to do as he wanted until after Jael’s phone was ringing.
It was late morning now, he had eaten breakfast and was wearing another of Asher’s shirts. It had quickly replaced his habit of wearing just robes.
When Jael picked, he decided that it was better to get permission. After all, the last time he left the mansion without anyone knowing, he ended up on a forced lunch date with another Mafia King.
"Yes?" The Beta answered patiently.
"Can I go on a walk?" He asked bluntly, well aware of how much Jael hated beating around the bush.
There was a short pause after his request. Caspian had asked just because, not once did he consider that his request would be turned down.
"Yeah, no." Jael bluntly replied.
"What?" Caspian said in disbelief. "Why?"
"It’s a little dangerous for you to be out right now." He answered vaguely.
Caspian wanted details so he spoke without thinking, "Is it Mafia King Nikolai?"
"Worse," Jael deadpanned.
That shut him up, racking up his brains about what could be worse than the dangerous Mafia King.
"But I’m bored of being stuck inside," He complained. For someone who had been eager to send him off, Jael was caring a little too much about his safety.
"I could send Asher to you," Jael said steadily.
It took a couple of seconds for his words to sink in, "I want... wait what?"
"Look," The Beta sighed, "It’s just for a couple days but I want you to stay inside for now."
Jael sounded so serious that Caspian gave in, "Fine." He quietly agreed, "And you don’t need to send Asher down." He added with a mumble.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to see him but he would hate to constantly interrupt the Mafia King’s work.
He also didn’t like how he was constantly questioning himself around Asher. Things would probably be easier if he could just say what he wanted.
But Asher wasn’t as easy to talk to as Jael, and Caspian was used to never getting what he wanted.
Jael waited a bit, "Uh, you can ring up whatever you want and the staff will get it for you."
"Thanks."
The call dropped after his muttered apology, and he fell backward against the bed.
He had just wanted to walk down the street but all he had managed to do was completely trap himself inside the bedroom.
He couldn’t even walk around the house now.
Caspian rolled over to his stomach, resting his head on his hands, his knees cushioned on the carpet.
He could really have anything he wanted?
After his parents’ death, he had only been given the necessities and then thrown out of the big apartment he grew up in to live in a cubicle.
Even the games bought for him had been taken away, there was no one to complain to, Alpha Warren moving into his family’s old apartment.
He hadn’t played a proper game in years, picking up reading because there was little else to entertain himself with.
Caspian was suddenly reminded of how he had been mated fresh out of high school.
His graduation had been physically painful. Watching people celebrate with their families while he clutched his diploma with bloodless hands, his graduation robes falling off his small frame.
He didn’t cry very often but he had cried so hard that day that he fell sick.
He had missed the graduation party thrown by the Pack for Noah and the rest of the Pack members that had graduated because of that.
But it wasn’t like he would have gone for it even if he wasn’t sick.
He wasn’t invited to begin with, and everyone made it clear that he wasn’t welcome...
Caspian wrenched himself free of the dark thoughts, he didn’t like to focus on the bad things, even while he was in the thick of it.
He shot to his feet, if he could get whatever he wanted, he could ask for a console to play games.
Somehow, making the call to ask for a console was far easier than the time he made a request for a device to do a Google search.
It was so easy to forget how rich Asher was, already getting used to the privileges available to him.
It was why getting a console he asked for in less than an hour was more shocking than the fact that there was an entire pool in the bathroom, or that he had to walk inside the closet to get dressed.
Caspian’s boredom was quickly forgotten after the console was set up, playing for so long that he forgot to eat.
Like clockwork, the maid whose name he had come to learn was Lucy was rolling a tray into the room with a scowl on her face.
"I knew you’d forget to have lunch because of that game," She rolled the tray right up to him, the scent of food reminding him that he was rather hungry.
"Put that away for now and eat," She instructed, waiting for him to do as she said.
Lucy wasn’t that much older than him because she looked rather young but she always gave the vibe of a stern but kind aunt.
