Captive Mate BL -
Chapter 62: + - 62+
Chapter 62: +Chapter 62+
Lucy only left after making sure that he put down the game and started eating like she said, making a muttered comment about how he wouldn’t put on any weight if he didn’t eat properly.
There was no reason to be wary of her now that his secret was out, she was just naturally intimidating.
She wasn’t the one who returned to clear out the dishes but he had stuffed down as much food as he could regardless.
It had been a while now since he felt hunger, there was always more than enough to eat, and he could always request whatever he wanted outside of meal times.
Even if he hadn’t fallen for Asher, it would have been tough to leave behind this luxury.
It said a lot when he was treated far better by the Mafia than his own Pack.
Despite Lucy’s warnings, he played games again until it was well past dinner time, prompting a repeat of what happened at lunch.
Asher stayed out till late and without putting too much thought into it, Caspian stayed up to wait for him.
He finally took a break from playing games all day, putting on a show for background noise while he scrolled on his phone.
He moved from spot to spot on different couches as the night drew on, frowning with every glance at the time.
The last time Asher had returned so late was in the first couple days he was brought here.
Playing games all day came back to bite him in the but because he slept off an hour before midnight, waking up when he felt himself get picked up.
"Asher?" He whispered, his vision blurry.
"Did you wait up for me?"
Caspian rested his head against the Alpha’s shoulder, taking in deep breaths to fill his lungs with his scent. "Yeah. We were supposed to watch the rest of the show together." He mumbled, his eyelids drooping.
Caspian was already fast asleep the moment his head touched the pillows, pale blond hair splayed out.
Asher undid the buttons on the sleeves of his dress shirt as he thoughtfully watched Caspian sleep.
He had tried to ignore it but he was really worried about losing Caspian. Jael hadn’t given him an update but knowing his second-in-command, that could mean anything.
No news wasn’t necessarily good news.
Asher closed the distance between them after undoing all of his buttons, studying Caspian up close.
There had been no reason for him to stay out so late today. Jael had even tried to convince him to leave earlier but he didn’t want to give it away to Caspian that he was troubled.
He wanted to try being gentle - he could be better than his father.
For someone who used sex as a coping mechanism, self-discipline was far easier than he thought it would be.
He had cracked the code though, he only felt unstable when he was away from Caspian for too long.
He had done great so far, he would keep abstaining until Caspian made a move. He wasn’t a wild beast, he could exercise control just like anyone else.
Asher pressed a kiss into his hair and went to freshen up and get ready for bed. He did the same in the morning before he left for the day.
Caspian’s fluffy hair was wilder in the morning, and unlike the night before, his eyelids fluttered open at the kiss.
Asher didn’t expect Caspian to latch onto him, wrapping his arms and legs tight around him.
"You’re up," He calmly noted, holding up both their weights with ease.
He got a sleepy hum in response, the Omega holding tight and not letting go.
Asher still had a hard time believing it himself but all Caspian needed to do was ask him to stay and he would, without hesitation.
He would stay and they could spend the rest of the day watching whatever shows he wanted.
After a moment too long, Caspian finally let him go, his reluctance evident on his face.
"I always miss you in the mornings, wake me up before you go?" He tilted his head to the side, curled up on the messy sheets.
Asher leaned forward to press a chaste kiss to his lips, "Sure."
Caspian drifted back to sleep as the door gently shut, the moment he just had with Asher a blurry memory.
He woke up a few hours later, uncertain if he had really spoken to Asher or if it was just a really detailed dream.
He was leaning heavily towards it being a dream because expressing want he wanted like that didn’t feel real.
And Asher had agreed almost immediately too - it had to be a dream.
He hadn’t even gotten out of bed yet when there was a knock on his door and Lucy was pushing in a food tray.
"Rise and shine, Caspian." She marched in to throw open the curtains.
He covered his face with both hands, "I’m already up," He protested.
"Better. I don’t have to go through the trouble to wake you." She barreled right on. "Go quickly brush your teeth and come eat before your breakfast cools."
Caspian had no choice but to roll out of bed. As much as he liked to complain about how stern Lucy was, he was really grateful that she constantly thought about him.
"I heard you barely eat breakfast," She started off her lecture, the moment he stepped out of the bathroom. "When it’s time for meals, I’ll bring it to you."
He didn’t doubt that she would do exactly as she said, watching her leave with satisfaction after making sure he was eating.
Caspian usually ordered brunch because he often woke up late, and he usually made the call for his food to be brought when he was ready.
But just like she had done in the morning, without waiting for him to request his meal, Lucy came barging into the bedroom in the afternoon with another tray.
"I see you like sweet things," She started off unprompted as soon as she walked in, not bothering with pleasantries.
"I had the kitchen bake you a pie. Do you like apple pies? do you prefer desserts with frosting?"
