Captive Mate BL
Chapter 60: + - 60+

Chapter 60: +Chapter 60+

The familiar scent of wood smoke and spices wafting in made Caspian sit up, his eyes wide in surprise.

"Did you forget something?" He blurted out, looking over the couch at the unexpected appearance of Asher.

"No. I got off work early today." Asher lied easily, taking off his fur-lined coat.

It was hardly because the weather was cold as it was already the start of summer, he just favored big flashy coats.

He had thrown his phone right out the window of his car after making the call to Jael, his second-in-command wouldn’t be happy but he would get over it.

Asher walked right over to the couch to Caspian who looked so expressively happy to see him.

"Does it work that way?" Caspian found himself asking, completely forgetting that he was wearing Asher’s shirt.

The sight of it made Asher stop in his tracks, a slow smile starting on his handsome face. "You’d be surprised."

He wasn’t exactly sure why he had cut his day in half to see Caspian quicker... well, he was.

His craving to be beside the Omega had been slowly driving him insane all day but he had chalked it up to being sexually pent up.

But now that he was right next to him, the burning under his skin cooled instantly, and he was content just to have him in his line of sight.

Caspian watched Asher close the distance between them, he was so giddy it almost made him nauseous.

Crystal blue eyes drank Asher in like he hadn’t seen him in months, lost staring at him.

He was snapped out of his fantasies when Asher joined him on the couch and placed his head on his thighs.

Caspian tensed up, clenching his hands into fists to tame the urge to touch him.

Doubts crept up the back of his throat, even the sight of Asher closing his eyes blissfully wasn’t enough to soothe the voices in his head.

"Are you comfortable?" He asked nervously.

His thighs were so skinny, he was sure they barely offered any comfort. He wasn’t soft like a woman, a pillow would probably be more comfortable...

"I can grab a pillow if... oh," He cut himself off when all Asher did was wrap a hand around his waist and thigh to pull him closer.

"I’d rather your thighs," Asher said bluntly, already sounding drowsy. "They’re soft and sweet."

Caspian’s face melted to a deep pink, his doubts fading away. There was no denying Asher’s words, his hand tentatively reaching out to bury his fingers in his long hair.

He had to keep reminding himself that Asher wouldn’t do what he didn’t want to, so he was here because the Alpha wanted him.

The fact that he was wearing Asher’s clothes didn’t seem like such a big deal, after all, Asher hadn’t even mentioned it.

And further more, he had the Mafia King fast asleep on his thighs, his long powerful limbs cramped uncomfortably on the small couch.

It was so endearing that he needed a moment to just breathe, gently carding his fingers through Asher’s hair.

His phone abruptly ringing made him jump, nearly losing his hold on the device and dropping it on Asher’s head.

He managed to pick up the call without hurting himself or Asher, and the Alpha remained fast asleep, it was a feat indeed.

"He-Hello?" He picked before the realization that he shouldn’t be getting any calls sank in.

"Caspian?" Jael’s familiar voice came through, it was surprisingly relieving to hear the Beta’s brash voice.

"Y-Yeah?"

"Is Asher there with you?"

"Yes-"

"I’d like to talk to him," Jael said almost immediately.

Caspian glanced down at Asher whose face was tucked in his stomach, his breathing even.

"He’s asleep right now," He excused.

"He’s what?" Jael demanded.

"I’ll have him call you back when he wakes up," Caspian went on decisively, "If there’s a message for him, I’ll let him know."

Jael audibly practiced breathing exercises, speaking moments later with an even pitch.

"Right, just let him know that the next time he gets rid of his phone to avoid me, I’m going to shoot him in the foot."

Jael’s calm tone was what made the threat that much more scary, he sounded like he genuinely intended to do as he said.

"O-Okay," Caspian accepted the task of relaying the message, unsure of what else to say.

Jael hesitated after that like he wanted to say something else, but he must have changed his mind because he hung up without saying another word.

From the sound of things, Asher had ditched work and then gotten rid of his phone to ignore Jael.

It was a funny scene to picture but it also made his heart feel full because Asher had done that just to see him.

He didn’t even realize that he was smiling until his face started to hurt, laughter bubbling up in his throat.

Caspian understood why Jael was upset but he had to take Asher’s side, he totally wasn’t being biased.

If Asher had immediately fallen asleep after he got here, it meant that the Mafia King was being overworked... Jael should also take that into consideration.

It took sometime but he finally stopped being starstruck by the sight of Asher, returning to the book he was reading, his hand still in Asher’s hair.

The room felt brighter now, the air warmer, the taste of Asher’s scent on his tongue.

In moments like this, his decision to stay despite the danger it posed to his heart felt like it was completely worth it.

As the sun’s strength started dim, the bright golden sunshine taking on a warmer hue, Caspian was jostled out the book his was reading by a kiss.

His phone slipped out of his slack hold was Asher deepened the kiss, a firm hand on his face kept him in place.

He hadn’t even noticed Asher rousing, the kiss stunning him from how sudden it was.

Caspian melted into the kiss, his hands finding Asher’s hair again - he might be a little obsessed with it.
