Bone Alchemist: Necromancer of The Aberrations
Chapter 90: Jordan The Aberration

Chapter 90: Jordan The Aberration

After a few minutes of purely instinctive combat, Aes-Dareth staggered back.

A bleeding gash marred their chest, the first in centuries. Their cloak was half-torn, the hood completely gone.

Their bare, disfigured face was finally exposed, its surface a mosaic of shimmering scars that pulsed faintly with prismatic light, betraying their alien nature. Yet no one paid it any mind.

The crew knew. The hood was more a shield against their own self than against others’ judgment.

After all, the only thing that mattered in this world was strength.

But Aes-Dareth could not stop thinking about their scarred face. It was one of their inner demons.

And so, noticing their destroyed hood, an infinite rage surged within them.

Meanwhile, the monster repositioned itself slowly, like a predator savoring its satisfaction.

It did not attack immediately. Seeing blood drip from its claw, the ever-present expression of Euphoria on its face shifted, morphing into Ecstasy.

Bringing the claw to its mouth, it began licking off all the blood, cleaning its hand until it gleamed with a polished sheen. Not a single drop remained.

And just as it finished licking its claws, Aes-Dareth opened their mouth and screamed.

But it was not a conventional scream, like one any creature might produce.

It was a vibration, so powerful it shattered the surrounding space.

One thing to note was that, despite the presence of a Stellar Rank, the world did not collapse.

This was simply because, during its transformation into an Aberration, Azure had evolved from a low-tier world to a mid-tier one.

Though the world’s size remained unchanged, its mass and resilience had transformed.

The vibration from the Diaphane’s scream struck the monster head-on, hurling it backward.

Aes-Dareth, who had been holding back until now, no longer did.

To use their full power against a being of a lower Rank? It was madness to consider, yet at this point, it was necessary.

The thing before them was a threat. They could not afford to be overwhelmed.

Meanwhile, the wound on their body vanished, as if it had never been there. After all, the Diaphanes’ bodies were different from those of typical devils. They had no organs, blood, or anything similar. They merely mimicked them.

All it took was using their physical adaptation ability to reshape their form and regenerate any damage sustained.

And so, the Diaphane assumed a combat stance.

Their body was enveloped in prismatic armor, designed to deflect and block direct attacks.

Meanwhile, the vibration had flung the monster hundreds of meters, sweeping away entire segments of the terrain like paper.

Though its body skidded backward, it retained its solidity. Every limb remained rigid, poised to react, as if merely enduring the scream’s effect.

When it finally stopped, its face had changed.

The ecstasy had dissolved.

In its place, hatred and disgust had taken over, the only expressions readable on its face.

The creature’s face was now a mask of distilled hatred. Its lips were pulled into a sneer of absolute disgust, its eyes spirals of barely contained wrath.

Its shoulders shifted slowly, as if shrugging off the very air.

Then... it roared.

It, too, was about to get serious.

---

After seeing the spaceship land, Jeremy began preparing.

He could not meet his guests looking like that. He had to dress appropriately for the occasion.

Besides, he did not want to appear weak.

Through Azure, Jeremy could sense it. There was a powerful presence on that ark-shaped spaceship.

"I’m going to make final preparations. Judging by their direction, they’ll soon encounter something... very exciting."

Jeremy said, slipping his hands into his pockets and heading toward his home, his stride confident, his black eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and menace.

"Master, wait!" Cambela shouted, rushing toward Jeremy. "What do you mean by very exciting? A new Aberration? What’s its name? What are its abilities?"

A barrage of questions bombarded Jeremy, who smiled mysteriously.

"Its name is Jordan. Simple, but effective. I named it that because it reminds me of someone. It has a very strong personality—I might not even be able to control it."

---

NAME: Jordan

RANK: EX

LEVEL: 299

RACE: Thalgrith Aberration Aeloria

CLASS: Berserker of Carnage

POTENTIAL: PRIMORDIAL+

CONCEPT: Madness

Main Skills:

[Emotional Instability]

---

[Emotional Instability]

Jordan is a raving madman. His emotions dictate his combat style.

Anger manifests itself in devastating blows, euphoria in lightning assaults, despair in psychic bursts that tear apart the minds of his enemies etc.

Each emotion distorts the battlefield, disrupting reality with its unstable aura.

---

Jeremy laughed before adding, "I suggest you observe it from a distance. Also, bring someone with you..."

"...you know, just in case."

With that, Jeremy entered his home.

Cambela and Azure remained outside.

An awkward silence formed between them, but only Cambela noticed.

After all, Azure was unaffected by feelings or emotions. He seemed like a robot.

Mustering her courage, Cambela asked Azure, "Hey, want to come with me to observe this new ally?"

Azure stared at her for a moment before nodding.

And so, the two set off at a leisurely pace toward Jordan’s location.

---

Aes-Dareth advanced in their prismatic form. The armor of light granted them such resilience and refraction that it could anticipate and deflect any strike.

But the monster, Jordan, did not attack with physical force.

No.

Its contempt materialized.

From its arms bloomed black flowers of flesh, each with a mouth. Every mouth spoke an uncomfortable truth to the enemy.

"You’re weak!"

"You’re afraid of your face!"

"You’re scared of being rejected!"

"You’ll always be second-in-command!"

The phrases were not mere words. They were targeted attacks designed to shatter the psyche, irreparably damaging the enemy, driving them insane.

And Aes-Dareth was struck by every word.

Their prismatic armor cracked, their face faltered, yet somehow they managed not to fall.

Raising their right hand, they rewrote every emotion.

All the enemy’s intentions were overwritten. New words blossomed in their mind.

"You’re invincible!"

"Strength is all that matters!"

"You’ll surpass everyone!"

With this newfound power, their prismatic armor, previously cracked, began to shine brilliantly.

Their lance, once pointed downward in a gesture of surrender, rose.

It aimed straight at the hatred-filled face of the Aberration.

Then, harnessing all their power, multiple light-based copies of their lance appeared.

The total number of attacks aimed at Jordan was three. They could only control that many without losing power.

A moment later, the lances found their target.

Two aimed for the monster’s eyes, while one targeted its filthy mouth.

The Aberration could not defend itself from the strike; its arms were occupied with the previous attack, the materialization of contempt.

And so... the lance struck true.

Everything froze.

And for a moment... it seemed over.

"Hmph, you could never have beaten me," the Diaphane thought, a small smirk crossing their face.

"..."

But then, a sob.

The ground around the crater folded in on itself. The world emitted a deep sound, as if swallowing something.

But it was not a sensation.

It was the lance—the one lodged in Jordan’s mouth—that had been bitten, snapped, and swallowed.

Only the sound of chewing could be heard.

The dust settled.

And the Aberration... was still there.

Its eyes still had lances embedded in them. Blood poured everywhere, yet the emotion on the creature’s face was different from before.

Hatred and contempt had been replaced by an... unexpected emotion.

Joy, happiness, contentment.

But it was not the typical joy one might feel seeing something beautiful or thrilling.

Not at all.

It was a distorted, sick joy.

It was the happiness of a being that loved to fight, but even more... loved pain, loved blood.

And its face, struck by the lances of light, howled in agony.

But the blood dripping from its eyes flowed into its unnaturally wide-open mouth.

It did not care whose blood it was. It loved it!

The Diaphane was stunned. They had not expected this.

Their ethereal lance had been destroyed in such a manner. But it was not an issue— after all, they had plenty more.

A blank expression colored Aes-Dareth’s face.

Meanwhile, the Joy on Jordan’s face turned to pure Euphoria.

Its body, a tangle of black tendons and throbbing sores, writhed as if every muscle were alive, its grotesque form pulsating with a sickening vitality that seemed to mock the natural order.

The plasma sphere in its open chest pulsed like a diseased heart fueling its rage. The bones on its shoulder blades grew larger and sharper, moving like serpents.

Aes-Dareth gripped another ethereal lance, preparing for the repulsive being’s counterattack.

"Monster..." they whispered mentally, observing the creature’s transformation.

Jordan’s arms elongated, and then, with a leap, it lunged at Aes-Dareth, the ground shattering beneath its feet.

The Diaphane parried with the lance, but the impact was devastating. A shockwave pulverized nearby rocks, and their prismatic armor cracked.

Jordan’s roar split the air, its fury growing more evident. Its strength and agility intensified.

The Aberration kept striking, managing to damage the prismatic armor significantly before driving a claw into Aes-Dareth’s side, sending them crashing into a rock.

The ground was stained with blood.

Through it all, Jordan laughed.

Aes-Dareth rose, their form flickering. But that wound was nothing to a Diaphane. With a simple shape-shift, their body was restored.

The etheric spear lit up, attempting to rewrite Jordan’s intentions. "You cannot win," he said mentally, his voice laden with authority.

But Jordan was beyond reason. Its euphoria surged, its body swelling, muscles and bones reforming into an even more massive form, its grotesque silhouette towering against the crimson- streaked sky.

"I can smell your fear!" it screamed, its shoulder blades sprouting new bone spikes, sharp as blades.
