Chapter 100: Explosion!

In another point of space, outside the Ebonveil system, an incredibly complex and ambiguously shaped spaceship stood still, gazing at the Nexus Galaxy.

Aboard their ship, the Chronos, two figures observed the chaos of the war raging in the Ebonveil system.

The ship was named as such due to its hourglass shape, its sleek, crystalline hull shimmering with an otherworldly glow that pulsed in rhythm with the stars.

The two figures were neither devils nor Diaphanes. They belonged to another race, the Aleorians, humanoid beings with unique characteristics.

Eyes devoid of pupils, elongated and sharp ears, pale skin with silvery patterns pulsing every second.

They were slender and graceful, elegant and noble by nature. After all, they were truly noble.

Their race resided at the center of the universe, dominating hundreds of galaxies and thousands of races.

If they weren’t noble, who would be?

"Wow, a galactic war! I didn’t expect to stumble upon something like this so far from home," said the figure with snow-white hair and eyes. His eyes gleamed with excitement, their radiant shine reflecting the thrill of witnessing cosmic carnage.

Watching wars excited him.

"What do you mean? Are you stupid? The farther we get from our domain, the more wars become the norm. These inferior beings think they can rule the universe, but they’re just useless pawns. Let’s go," replied the other youth. His demeanor was the opposite of his brother’s. He was more cynical and arrogant.

His dark hair and eyes gave him a unique aura of brazenness.

"Go away? Aren’t we here to gain experience and find treasures? Why not explore those galaxies?" continued the white-haired boy, ignoring his brother’s indifferent expression.

He was used to it by now.

"Aion, stop spouting nonsense. We’re in this forgotten place for another reason, remember? Stop wasting time with weaklings and focus on our mission."

"But Kairos! What if the thing we’re looking for is in that galaxy? It’s worth a look, don’t you think?"

With the sigh of someone at their wit’s end, Kairos, the dark-haired brother, agreed to take a look.

"Fine, damn it. But we don’t care about the inhabitants of those places. We’ll just scout around for the beast and then leave."

An excited shout came from Aion.

"Yes! I knew you wouldn’t let me down!"

And so, aboard the Chronos, the two youths headed toward the borders of the Nexus Galaxy.

---

After scouring the entire system far and wide, there was no trace of the beast they were searching for.

"Well, can we go now, Aion? Or do you need something else?" he said with an expression devoid of warmth.

"Wait, wait! Something’s about to happen, I can feel it," Aion replied with unbridled excitement, staring at a specific point in space.

"Let’s wait a bit longer," he continued. "Something’s going to happen, I’m sure of it!"

Another sigh escaped Kairos’s mouth.

"Damn it..."

---

Time passed, and just when Kairos was about to lose his patience, something happened.

An invasion!

It was the moment when the Diaphanes and Jeremy went to war against the Ebonveil Clan.

"I want to find out more, brother! Let’s deploy some spy probes to understand what’s happening!"

"Do it yourself!" Kairos replied. He was fed up. Every time Aion saw something new, he wanted to learn more.

And so, numerous invisible spy probes were launched to attach themselves to various members of the Diaphane army and beyond.

One of the figures caught by the probes was Cambela.

---

"Alright, twenty seconds until Gustav’s attack. Prepare for the shift." Jeremy’s voice was serious. Everything depended on this.

Two figures were watching him from afar, while another figure was approaching his position. Despite moving with utmost stealth, Jeremy could sense them, his perception sharpened by a primal instinct that pulsed through his very being.

---

The clash between Zorathar and Kael-Zoryn had reached its peak.

"You’re dead, Diaphane! How long are you going to hold back that secret weapon you boasted about?" A triumphant smile spread across Zorathar’s face, his eyes blazing with a predatory confidence that seemed to darken the space around him.

The fight had been going on for hours, yet the Diaphane hadn’t used the secret weapon he bragged about.

His power was at its limit, his Authority abandoning him; he couldn’t compete with Zorathar’s.

But only because the devil was holding back. After all, he didn’t truly care about his clan.

"Well, I guess I have no choice..." said Kael-Zoryn with resignation.

He had hoped to last a bit longer, but reality was often disappointing.

He couldn’t compete with the devil, he knew that.

"This is my final attack. Either I die, you die, or we both do!"

The Diaphane’s voice turned gravely serious, startling Zorathar for a moment.

But just as the devil was about to laugh at Kael-Zoryn’s quip, the Diaphane unleashed his Authority to its fullest, enveloping the surrounding space.

Then, compressing his body into a sphere, he absorbed all his Authority into himself.

Moving faster than light, Kael-Zoryn shot toward the devil, who was caught off guard.

He hadn’t expected the secret weapon to be... a kamikaze attack!

"Prepare to die with me, devil!"

Zorathar was slightly frightened.

He had full confidence in his power, but an attack like this would put him to the test.

All of Kael-Zoryn’s Radiant Authority condensed into a single point within his body.

And then—

"!?"

The anticipated explosion didn’t happen.

Another figure appeared beside Kael-Zoryn.

They were similar but not the same person.

This new figure, shrouded in a gray veil, used their Authority to teleport the devil countless light-years away from the Nexus Galaxy.

"You tricked me, bastard—" Zorathar’s screams echoed everywhere as his body was transported away by another power.

"Well done, Pro-Siut. With this, Zorathar won’t return anytime soon. Unfortunately, in this world, individual strength isn’t always the answer. And we Diaphanes, unlike the devils, are far more united."

"Yes, that’s what makes our race great!"

The figure beside Kael-Zoryn was Pro-Siut, a new Eclipse Rank of the Diaphanes.

Thanks to his unique Authority, capable of teleporting across vast distances, he had reached Kael-Zoryn without being detected by Zorathar.

And now, he had used his Authority to send the devil into a trap set by the other Overlords.

After all, none of the devil Overlords would leave their domains to save Zorathar; that was certain.

They hated him.

And so, everything was ready to begin.

"10"

"8"

The countdown began, and all the key figures in this event started to act.

Just as the shot was about to fire from Gustav’s barrel, two hidden figures from the Ebonveil Clan appeared.

With them, two Diaphane figures emerged behind them.

Authorities erupted in an instant as the devils tried to cause as much disruption as possible to make the intergalactic shot self-detonate.

The Diaphanes, however, sought to protect the cannon from any interference.

"We must stop them. With this shot, victory will be ours!" Kael-Zoryn’s voice erupted like a volcano in open space, his radiant form blazing with a desperate intensity that lit up the void.

He stood in front of Gustav, as if determined to protect him at all costs.

Beside him was another figure, Pro-Siut.

With him, Zorathar had been teleported away from the Nexus Galaxy. The place where he appeared was where the Diaphane Overlords and all the Eclipse Ranks of their race had gathered, ready to kill the devil.

Few respected Zorathar, and none were willing to face certain death to save him.

Among those who respected him were members of his clan, including two Eclipse Rank figures.

However, compared to the Overlords, beings at the pinnacle of the Eclipse Rank, these figures were weaker.

Shir and Frish, a brother-sister duo. They were the devils trying to stop Gustav’s attack, but they were intercepted by the two Diaphanes.

Without wasting time on words, the two devils did everything to disrupt Gustav, but just as one second remained until the explosion and everyone was playing their best cards, something happened.

"Don’t worry about me; we have other plans!"

An ironic voice broke the tension. It was Jeremy.

The next instant, the ship carrying Gustav vanished, teleporting to another point in the Ebonveil system.

Then, the following moment, the devastating shot of the Aberration, meant to hit the planet Shadowcrux, changed course, heading straight for the Nexus.

"Limitless Destruction!"

Jeremy murmured as he watched Gustav fire the most powerful shot currently possible toward the Nexus.

The moment the shot was fired, the barrier hiding the Nexus’s true form shattered instantly, and the shot continued straight into it.

When the barrier broke, the Nexus was revealed in all its splendor. Its size wasn’t enormous, comparable to a High-Level Planet, but its mass made it so dominant.

After all, the planets orbited around it in predetermined paths.

It resembled a massive, colossal black hole.

But the moment the missile struck the Nexus, something absurd, unimaginable to anyone, happened.

The Nexus absorbed the shot without issue.

The expectant expression on Jeremy’s face turned to a frown, his eyes narrowing with a mix of disbelief and calculating intrigue.

Cambela, who had been jumping excitedly like a child, stopped as she watched the missile vanish from sight.

But just as everyone was about to wonder what the hell had happened, something else occurred.
